I have used this company (VOIPO) for telephone land line service for several years with the contract for annual billing through credit card on file. However this year my credit card was billed five (5) times for the annual amount in March, July, September, October 2024, in addition to usual annual charge on November 15, 2024.Initial Complaint

I've been charged 5 times now this year for $185 (2 years worth of service). I've called billing/customer support half a dozen times. They won't transfer to anyone that can actually handle the issue...just say billing ticket has been opened and it was a billing error. Even after all this, got charged again this month for $185. This appears to be criminal and fraudulent activity. Reporting here as well as other regulatory agencies.Initial Complaint

Voipo has my credit card on file because they charge service subscription renewal. But they have charging $185 to my card for service renewals that I have not authorized. They charged me 3 time $185 adding 2 years subscription each time. When filed a support ticket on their web site on Sept 26, I was sent a response that there was a problem in their billing system and that it would take some time to process my refund. But then on Oct 14 they charge my card again. I have tried sending more messages to by support ticket. But they don't respond. I am requesting that they return the 4 charges of $185 that I did not authorize.Initial Complaint

On August 3rd 2024 I signed up for the two year plan and paid $185. I was doubled billed on August 3rd. On September 23 I was once again billed and charged to my credit card $185. I immediately contacted customer service via email because no one ever answers the phone. I was told it would be forwarded to accounting to be resolved and a credit (refund) would be issued. So far as of October 23, ************************************** nor sent a refund. I have had to file a dispute with my credit card company to try to get my problem resolved. I have called and emailed to the customer service multiple times. These calls dont reach a live person and Im getting no response to emails sent to your support ******** have charged my credit card four times $185 each. My service is billed annually in March for $185. First bill in March of 2023 was processed through the credit card I have on file with them. Second bill of $185 in March of 2024 is a legitimate charge. The company then billed additional charges of $185 this year in October, September, and July, resulting in CC charges of $555 of additional charges. I have been unable to get an answer from their support email service and when I call, the announcement says that due to large volume of calls, I cannot speak to a representative. I have disputed these charges with my credit card company.Business Response

I have had Voipo internet phone service (through **************************) for several years, paying $185 per 2 years of service. On 20th July 2023, I paid $185 for 2 years of service, and received confirmation that this would provide service until 21st Aug 2025. However on 20th May 2024, 12th Aug 2024 and 21st Sept 2024 Voipo took $185 from my credit card without permission and without notifying me. I wrote to them on 11th October 2024 and they said they would refund the $555 in 7 days. However on 14th October they took another $185 from my credit card. Thus they owe me $740. I called on 17th October and was told it would take a month to refund me. They advised against reclaiming through my bank, stating that this would delay the process. They would not allow me to speak to a supervisor. This seems very suspicious.Business Response
