**** provides a unsatisfactory product with equally unsatisfactory support services. Definitely not worth the aggravation. I can't watch half an hour of TV without it freezing or skipping. My internet service is no better, and hasn't been addressed despite several phone calls and chats with agents.Review fromViktor I

Try to avoid this business at all costs ******* ** *** **** *** * ***** They offered me two year cable, internet and home phone deal for $130. When bill came it was over $200, I repeatedly call them asking to make an adjustments but month after month nothing was done. Instead, they cancelled my service including our home phone access to emergency 911 number. Stay away from this business.Review fromhector r

Horrific company to deal with. I had to cancel and they did not like it, they took an extra month from my bank account then credited it back but only against a new bill for contract violation. I asked for copies of this contract and they never showed up. They call every ever couple of days asking for their money when its them that owe me money. On top of that i went with novus for $30 less a month and speeds 20x faster. This is Canada , this should not be allowed. On top they say they can charge 46% compounded interest on any debt they chose to make up. We are getting destroyed by these companies, look at how the economy is doing, now you see why they have these huge fancy buildings and multi million dollar salaries. They make up bills and charge 46% interest on them.Review fromVictor M

Setting up Shaw's new Ignite has been a nightmare We have had 10 techs out to date and many things are still not working. Internet is bad....cannot connect many of our devices that should be a piece of cake. The last tech put said he does not know our house si better hire a network specialist.. in other words little help determining the problem. We have now had 4 modems. That means you have to reset everything in the house each time. I would never start this process again. It has taken days if time... no weeks with still no working network. Stay away from this system if you have a house over 3000 feet.Review fromValeria B

I don’t usually write a negative review unless someone really deserves it. I switched over to shaw about 6 years ago and soon thereafter I started having issues with my internet. At the time they were very supportive over the online chat, very quick to respond when you opened a chat window, and always assured me they would get to the root of the problem and fix the issues. Well this went on for several years with no solution. They kept on trying to convince me it was an issue within my house wiring. This was a completely new house with all new state of the art as you can get wiring. And the problem to me was obvious, it was an issue on there end due to the error messages I was getting. There modem wasn’t talking to there servers. Well after several years of this micky mousing around and having changed the modem once or twice to no avail, we finally decided to upgrade to the newer gateway modem. Well lo and behold, the issue was solved, the new modem was now talking properly to the shaw servers. So now a few days down the road a new problem arises. Many of my in house smart devices and camera’s are not connecting to the modem. Now here’s where shaw gets more stupid. I probably chatted at least 5 times and they tried everything in that modem to resolve the issue. Kept on kicking off my devices. Finally one guy I chatted with comes up with - oh, the modem only supports 30 2.5 ghz devices. (6 tech support people before someone figured that one out) Well that’s odd, the old modem supported all my devices no problem, when it worked. Well there was an option, upgrade to the gateway 2 modem which would support 75 devices, and at the time of promotion it was only an additional $5 / mon. Now shaw would NOT honor this or resolve the situation in any manner. They now wanted and extra $30 a month and the day after it went to $40 / mon extra. They would not honor there original promotion to solve a problem they created after the installation tech told me they would do so. 0 starsReview fromRoger S

We had to renew our 2 year contract with shaw, now ******. We went to a ****** store in the mall and were told that our equipment needed to be upgraded. We also had to pick new channel packages. To get the channels you want, you have to pick multiple packages with a bunch of other garbage channels that we will never watch. This inflates the total cost. We paid our ransom and took all the equipment home to set it up. I know my way around with networks. If you can't setup your networks, you will probably have to make an appointment with a technician. All the new equipment relies on wifi to connect your TV receiver box to the modem/router. Our old modem was always in the basement and the old TV receivers were connected to cable. No problems at all with that setup. With the new modem in the basement, the TV receiver did not work in the living room. The wifi didn't make it through the walls. When we were at the ****** store, I asked about using a wifi extender and was told, you can't use your own extender. You would need to use ****** extender pods that plug into wall outlets. Those pods are $10 a month to rent. I added my own wifi extender (D-Link brand) on the main floor and managed to get it all working. This was a lot of time wasted trying to get everything configured. In the end, it all worked. And then the disconnects started, or the frequent maintenance, or the updates. ****** didn't tell us that we can schedule updates. Found that out later. We have had the new equipment for just over a week. Today, Saturday, was spent trying to figure out why everything was shutting down. No wifi to our phones, the TVs would not get a signal and the internet was not working. More wasted time on this garbage setup. Our neighbour could not watch her hockey game, her ****** was down all afternoon as well. After 7 hours and trying to get things working 5 times over, it looks like the cable is back. If there were other options, I would return all the equipment. And *****, just no!Review fromLeah F

I have been a **** customer for 30 years. Since the ****** takeover, it has been aweful. I have never seen such poor customer service from a company, ever. I'm currently on hold 1:11:19 and counting. No hope of even reaching someone at this point. Let alone, trying to get my bill adjusted to what it's supposed to be. They overcharged me of course. Why am I not surprised. Had a problem last month that took two phone calls and far too much of my time to get fixed. Channels just disappeared. There are issues constantly with it, last week set top box not responding, another hour on the phone with them. Yesterday cable in and out. ABSOLUTE WORSTReview fromRyan B

No stars. Since the merger it has been absolutely terrible. I used to be able to live stream sports and now they want more money to watch. When my contract is up for the new receivers (no digital display) I'm out. I will not recommend to anyone.
