Shaw cable has the worst customer service! If theres any kind of issues with your bill or you need tech support, good luck! You better plan to take a day off! It takes FOREVER to get through to someone. ***** spend a minimum of one hour before you even get acknowledged. Then, from there you will spend anywhere from 2 to 5 hours getting the issue resolved. They always come back saying they apologize for the wait. They always say theres an unexpected high volume of calls (this is the case 100% of the time so its not unexpected and they should clearly hire more people) !!!!!!!!They do not care about their customer service. Once they have you locked in to their services, youre just a number. ************** as much as possible!Review fromMark F

I’ve been with Shaw for years, and decided to switch ** ***** as their channel lineup worked better for us, plus we had phones with them. Cancelled Shaw, returned equipment, then expected the final payment to come off my credit card automatically. This was apparently cancelled without my knowledge, and then they sent a collections agency after me. I am furious at this poor customer service. Not even the courtesy of a phone call or email. I have never before dealt with collections, I always pay my bills. I will never use Shaw ever again. Good riddance.Review fromMagdalena d

Over-charging regularly! If you dont pay attention they will add a whole month worth of fees to your **** and it will take customer service hours and hours of your time to fix it. They have done this every 3-6 months the past several years I have had to call to get random refunds. And its not easy its hours of excuses and things that dont make sense before they finally cooperate. They lock you into 2 year plan- have a service tech come and literally take OUT a service - send nobody else to fix it and then its $50 extra a month for a phone that doesnt work. They dont tell you til a year later you could have cancelled it. In fact- they claim you cant its on a contract. Then the monthly rate for 2 years randomly goes up anywhere from $5-$30 a month and fast. You have to call spend hours demanding reasons they will all tell you something different that doesnt make sense until finally adding some refund. Who has hours of time to pour over bills to see what extra lying fees are being added! They have done this to me the entire time I have been with them and they did not correct the lack of service I paid for for a YEAR! They said sorry a year ago is too long to refund people maybe if you called. I did! Worst customer service - EVER. No other provider is this bad- you dont see me calling the power company every other month to find out what the heck is going on- its only ****! Incompetent, immoral, thieves. If I could rate them negative stars I would. They randomly tack on an extra payment I had all my payments in my records so- its stupid to do that. They will do that to people who arent paying attention and to people who cant afford it. And make you so stressed out and spend hours and hours of time with incompetence to correct it. It would be better off to hire some random guy on the street youd probably not even be ripped off nearly as much and maybe your wifi would actually work. Last August 2021 - we cancelled Shaw Satelite and changed to Shaw Cable. Shaw Satelite was supposed to email me return slips for the 2 receivers we had. They never did that. So I figured they didn’t need them back. They are still here all boxed up, waiting for the return slips by email. Shaw Cable was 89.24 per month. Then I found out that Shaw Satelite has been charging me 172.20 monthly for the past year. I requested a refund of 2066.40 from Shaw Satelite. They say I never canceled, but I definitely did. Then Shaw Communications said Satelite and Cable are two different companies. But… those companies are both listed under the Shaw Communications Inc. I wonder how many others have been taken by this ****. I sure hope the BBB can help. We are pensioners on a fixed income. I will also post this message everywhere that I can. *****Review fromNikki S.

I disconnected my services on March 1st since I switched to another provider (officially disconnection of services happened on March 15th). I had been with shaw for more than 5 years and never missed a single payment as I used automated payment services. Couple of mess ups on their end (saying it very nicely right now): They removed automated payment from my account without informing me. They also did not inform me about equipment return procedures during my request for terminating services call. My account was sent into collections on April 1st before 20 days were up and the first reports delinquency was March 1st. I contacted customer service to figure how to return equipment since I was never told before. Even when the equipment was returned, I continue to receive collection calls - which made no sense to me. I contacted customer service again and learned that they decided to remove the automatic payments themselves without informing me. How am i supposed to know there is a charge remaining on my account when: 1. I expect automated payments to work. 2. I was not informed about these charges. 3. I cannot access my account. Shaw sent my account to collections ... I am beyond frustrated because I have never defaulted on a single payment and now I have a note on my credit report. They never informed me that my automated payments were removed or how to return the equipment. What a nightmare. Seriously, what type of customer service or business is this? It just feels like a way to say ****** **** to customers who are leaving the business. I never complained about any business before but Shaw has been a customer's worst nightmare to deal with. I had an account with Shaw and then I cancelled. I had 3 people tell me I don’t owe anything but kept getting emails stating I owe so I would call and each person says nothing left to pay. I have evidence stating they said I don’t owe anything and they sent it to collections. I need help! This has been a nightmare.Review fromAlex A

Terrible service when I was deceived while setting up mobile phones. Absolutely horrible to get your first bill at $150 more than what was disclosed when setting up the account! It's misleading and poor business practices. Then having to deal with incompetent customer service to try and get it resolved. Don't expect to get good customer service even from the supposed supervisor who didn't want to have to speak to a customer and refused to issue any sort of credit note to verify any changes were in fact made. Not a company you can trust and as a new customer it's appalling to have this poor level of service. Would not recommend.Review fromFidel P

Shaw cable package was cancelled after a number of years with them. When I said I was switching to *****, that is when they offered a better package. Too late, they could have considered customer retention and offered at the end of the last plan. Get my final bill with the amount owing of all the equipment, and a note strongly worded that we have 30 days to return the equipment BUT, no information about how to return the equipment. Spoke to customer service, got required information through an email that they sent. Suggested they reconsider the wording on the form letter of the final bill. Sent all of the equipment back as directed. Received 3 separate emails, June 23, 24 and 30th about the returned equipment and serial numbers. Then get a letter from a collection agency (Commercial Credit Adjusters) dated June 28th about this equipment. The letter was received July 6th. It indicated I had 6 days from date on the letter to return equipment. (Already returned) and already past their deadline. Called Shaw, they had me call collection agency and matter had already been resolved/cancelled. Dismal communication on Shaw cable billing, someone obviously jumped the gun and sent it to collections. Agents on phone always helpful, but corporate needs to look at how they treat and communicate with their customers.
