Amazon failed to process my refund of $404.20 for a purchase made in early in December of 2024. I called numerous times and was told the same, Amazon had systems issues regarding refunds but that my request for help was submitted to an email only department and they would contact me within 48 hrs. Its been almost 2 months and my issue is still unresolved. Other customers have had their resolved in 7 days. I am very disappointed in Amazons customer service.

I bought 5 brand new items from Amazon and they all arrived damaged and/or looked very used.
I tried to get them exchanged for new undamaged replacements, but was told they don't offer exchanges on these specific items, so I would have to return them/get a refund then buy them again.
I objected because that is more complicated than it needs to be. I gave up and agreed to this but then they told me to get a refund, I must submit my photo ID to them over the internet. That sounded suspicious and unsafe, so I asked why. They told me it is to protect them from fraud. I refused, as that is very suspicious. I offered several other solutions, like a showing them my ID over video call, me going to one of their local offices or fulfillment centres to show my ID to a manager there, show my ID to their driver when he came to pick up my items (which they offered), anything to avoid giving someone a copy of my photo ID. The associate refused every reasonable, safe option I gave and eventually said they told me what I have to do to get my refund and I refused, so they are ending the call, and they did.
I called back several times over several days and it always went the exact same way. Even when I spoke to managers. During every call I asked why I was being forced to surrender my ID as I've never had to anywhere else, never heard of Amazon doing that and asked many people I know and no one ever had to do it. They eventually told me that there has been abnormal activity on my account. There hasn't been. I've never even returned anything to them. I asked what the suspicious activity is, they said a different dept decided that. I asked to speak to that dept to resolve this, they said that dept doesn't speak to customers, so again my only option was to be forced to surrender a copy of my photo ID. I refused again. They hung up on me again.
It feels like they deliberately sent me damaged items and are holding my money hostage/ransom.
I read online Amazon is doing this a lot.

I purchased 2 items for $23.88 it delivered the next day but the box was EMPTY. I contacted support 6 times asking for a refund then they stated I need an ID for identification. Why the h*** didnt I need an ID when I was buying the items. Now my $24 dollars is down the drain and I STILL have received my items. Customer support is a complete waste of time and a bunch of morons. They refuse to send me my items or a refund because I wont send them my ID photos. What kind of bull c*** is this?

Amazon Prime is a bad joke. We pay for Prime and order items listed as Prime as get it tomorrow or in two days. Then it becomes the next day... Then the next day... Then the next day... and so on. This is not just a one time thing, this has been the norm from Amazon since COVID. The delayed excuse now is weather. I am less than 2 hours away of said weather, they're lying!COVID is over as far as shipping things out and It is not acceptable and not their policy. They should start handing out membership refunds.

The other day, I tried to open a product link from ******, which redirected me to the Amazon app. Amazon then requested my phone number for additional security verification. After entering my phone number, I received an OTP and completed the verification process, only to realize that I had been signed into a different account. When I contacted Amazon ***************** they informed me that my old account was no longer accessible because my phone number had been linked to a new account. As a result, the account I had used for yearsalong with my membership, order history, and all recordswas suddenly gone.I find it extremely frustrating and unacceptable that Amazon, despite its advanced technology, would remove an account simply based on a phone number change, without any prior warning or further verification with the account owner. Losing years of purchase history this way is completely unreasonable.

Amazon deactivated my selling account of 10 years because they had a "belief" that my account has been involved with "fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal activity". I have never engaged in any illegal, fraudulent or deceptive activity as a 3rd Party Amazon ********* turns out that Amazon decided one of my products violated the copyright of another brand, despite the brand in question being aware of the design and not submitting any complaints to Amazon. Amazon made this determination all on their own.More than three months have passed and Amazon has refused to reactivate my selling account, and they are withholding $14.600 from me plus $23,0000 in inventory they have thus far prevented me from removing from FBA warehouses and have threatened to destroy.I want the $14,600 and value of the inventory sent to me. What right does Amazon have to steal money based on an unsubstantiated belief?

This company will not reimburse you for membership fees. They do not uphold the standards of fast delivery and third-party services. As a result, it's been neglected as a company.

We have been having trouble with the Amazon delivery drivers for a long time. We have filed complaint after complaint, always with the promise of getting it taken care of. It never happens and we are sick of being ignored. My wife has severe PTSD, and she cannot help how she feels. she cannot stand to have a delivery truck parked in front of our house. She doesn't understand why this is such a problem, but she starts losing control over it. We often get deliveries from Amazon, and we leave them explicit instructions to park at our driveway and deliver to the garage door. this is acceptable to her, and it causes no problems. It is especially upsetting to her when they park directly in front of our house and then proceed to deliver to other houses on foot. It is incredibly hard to try to console someone how can't be consoled, I am trying my best to keep my head together when she has a meltdown. i can't help her, no one can, and we have tried counseling, but to no avail. There is ample room for them to park their trucks when they deliver. I live on a corner and so do the people across the street. If they have a delivery for across the street, then they should park ACROSS THE STREET!!They constantly park in front of our house to deliver ACROSS THE STREET! There is more than enough room to park without parking in front of our house. WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH.
