      Predatory! Terrible company! I only used them because house I rented had the equipment. I called and started the service and was told a technician would be coming to check the equipment. They did everything by phone. No one came to the house. I had to crawl all over based on the attendant. I kept saying they needed to send someone. They refused. I got a month to month. Year later it had to move out of rental and I have called 4 times to cancel the account. I already moved and they are still trying to drag on the cancellation. They didnt honor my month to month no contract agreement. They said I had to wait the full year which was 3 weeks beyond my move. On the third call they said it would be annotated to call on the year anniversary and my account would be cancelled. I would not pay the last month. I called based on the information for the fourth time today. Yet another step to cancel the account. Now they want an email to review for 30 days and prorate my account. I told them to cancel immediately. I already responded to the email. This business is predatory and wants to keep charging money. Does not allow customers to leave. I notified them I would be making a complaint with the BBB and they said they would annotate my account.

      I have had this system for less than a year. This is my worst experience with any alarm system in my home. I have had two technicians come to my house to repair issues with the system. Keep in mind, it hasn't been a year. I've had to call the company to have someone walk me through self-repairs at least twice. Although I am paying a monthly fee to have a home technician come out and repair any issues we may be experiencing, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE!!! ALL THAT GLITTERS ISN'T GOLD

      I have a Vivint membership. Everything is fine with it, and I'm quite pleased with the company overall. BUT occasionally, Vivint door knockers come to our block and knock on our doors and ring our doorbells. They're persistent and irritating. I have had at least 3 door knockers in as many months and each time I've contacted Vivint and emphasized that I do not - ever - want solicitors at my door, especially from a company I am already a customer of! I've been told I'm on a "no knock list" each time. After the third time, I asked to file a complaint. And again, I'm told the only end result is being put on the "no knock list" (that I am not certain even exists). My neighbors also asked they not come to their door, but they're persistent. I shouldn't have to say "No, go away" ten times before they stop trying to talk to me. I'm now submitting a complaint because I want some response from Vivint that describes what they are doing to put me and my entire block on the "no knock list", exactly. I also would like contact information for someone at Vivint should we get visited again. I want privacy.

      Do not sign up for this company! They do not provide true cost lists for the products, over charging for them and using a third party credit card company with extremely high interest rates, to finance the purchase. they lie about how long you have to cancel, too.

      I wish I could click 0 stars. I have never been exposed to more mediocre customer service. I had a quote and an install planned and a contact I was working with. I shared with him that I need a couple of days to review with my S/O and we had an agreement. In the meantime, I had mutliple sales **** or account managers reach out during that time to give me a "better quote" despite me telling them I preferred to work with the *** I had because I trusted him. I received emails, texts, and calls EVERY-SINGLE-DAY mostly multiple times a day all from different ***resentatives. I truly feel harassed and for a company that is supposed to make me feel safe- I feel the opposite of that now. I have asked them to take me off their call lists but every day stillI I get the "I see that you are interested". I feel bad for my original *** because I truly wanted to install but I can NOT put my trust in a product belonging to a company that is so obviously internally disorganized. If their systems cannot talk to each other or their **** cannot manage their customers effectively, why should I believe their product works? ZERO STARS.

      MILITARY FAMILIES BEWARE - Vivint approached us when door to door soliciting and spoke to my wife and I about our security systems. The salesman was new and had difficulty understanding that we were not exactly interested but we would take his business card. After reviewing the quote, we called the company back for the 30-day trial as we had been looking for a home video security system. We ended up calling Vivint to collect their equipment as we wanted to return to ADT. They sent out a regional representative to discuss pricing and how to bring us back to the table. The individual did not know what he was talking about and became combative when I corrected what he was saying about ***'s services as I had talked to them a few hours earlier. He then lied about a "hard credit check" when I asked if signing an agreement would lower my credit score (I have a hard time believing that someone who does this for their job doesn't know that the customers credit score will be impacted). With Vivint installed, our outdoor driveway camera disconnected on a daily basis which required a system reboot. When I called Vivint to fix it, they passed us from department to department about who would be responsible for scheduling this fix. When we finally found the correct department, the representative that was helping us ended up leaving the company and his customers were not passed on to anyone else. We ended up returning to ADT following continual headaches and deception from Vivint. Their cancellation process is equally convoluted and disorganized as I spent weeks on the phone between Vivint and their credit company (*******) to get a refund for the unauthorized charges. Following the closure of the Vivint account, don't believe what they tell you and follow up with them a week later to confirm your account is deleted. Bottom line: Disorganized and dishonest company. Don't believe their employees and I recommend ADT instead.

      It wont let me leave 0 stars but that is the true reflection.Literally the worst company I have ever dealt with. I had their home security system in my old home for 10 years. They were terrible ever after installation. I tried to cancel finally when moving. Took multiple calls over 3 months to cancel to hear there was an additional service fee that would be charged to cancel plus a 30-day advance notice to cancel so - the equivalent of telling you that you need to pay for 2 more months of ********** has been 5 months since I have moved, 3 months since communicating with Vivint and they still send me a bill each month to my old address. They truly assume people have no awareness and will continue to pay. I have called the two previous months to complain about the bills. They confirm I will no longer receive and dont need to pay yet another month and another bill. Save yourself the hassle and find a different company from the start. Their service was terrible. They never updated emergency contact numbers when alarms did sound. Just completely terrible across the board.

      They **** they do not stand behind what they tell you their gonna do they sell you these bag of goods, they promise me a light to go on the back of my house and did not say it included a camera, sent me a bill for ****** and I refuse to pay it and the cheap company so called loyalty ***** is coming back out there to get it and they drilled a hole in my house and trust to tell me they will notify me when they get in touch with the moderfercation department I will not recommend them to put up a camera or any security methods to watch my dogs. Awful, Lie, Misleading, cant understand the representatives and you will never reach the complaint department, its the same number where the bill is paid, They Absolutely ****.P.S. Dont USE THEM EVER, I have been with them over 20 plus years and look how they did a loyal customer.

      DO NOT USE VIVINT!Their customer service is terrible and they will charge you with everything and anything they can, and have no rewards for loyalty. They will bind you in a contract and won't let you out without paying for half of your remaining service contract. They have the ***** **** for a bad company that does not care about their customers. Their promotion for transferring already paid for equipment is total BS, and will make something up to get you to purchase the "new, required" equipment.

      DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I moved out of my home 18 months ago and because the new owner didn't transfer service, they continued to bill me for the past 18 months. When I was finally eligible for cancellation, they charged me ANOTHER month and kept me on the phone for 45 min with hoop after hoop to jump through. I have never had an experience like this and want to warn people so they don't have to go through the stress of dealing with them.
