      Genuinely one of the worst security systems. Everything promised has been subpar or an outright lie. From the contract signed for the equipment to the promise of tech support if the way they manage their customer support is an kind of reflection of their ability to monitor the safety and security of your home you may as well not have anything.

      Is there a negative rating?!? I've been a Vivint customer for over 10 years and the equipment is not reliable. I threw the equipment away and tried to cancel the service. I spoke to 3 different people after being on hold for long periods of time. They kept trying to give me discounts and said they would send a technician to my house. I told them I don't want that, I just want to cancel my service. They kept asking for reasons why and would offer more promotions. Finally after all that, they said that I would have to email a cancellation request. I did that and the response was to wait another 30 days for an account review. Meanwhile, they would send me emails and text messages to refer friends to them for a discount. (Ha!!) Then the "account manager" called me to offer more promotions when I told her I just wanted to cancel the service! I was not aware that it could be this hard to cancel a service I pay for! Also, you cannot delete your debit/credit card on your account without having some other form of payment on there. So, I put a different card on there and locked that card so they cannot take my money any longer. They still haven't cancelled the service but atleast they don't have my money now. I still get calls and emails from them offering promotions and discounts! I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone! What a horrible company! Bad service and bad equipment!! Beware!

      called them about 1-2 weeks ago about canceling my account, and was told there was no cancelation fee, so when i called today 7/29/2024 was told there is a cancelation fee, after going back and forth with lady on phone was told her supervisor said they can reduce that by half, i told here i was not paying anything and we can go from there. supposal waiting on them to look into this, gave them 3 business days. guess will see

      I cant access my account on the app and online for years. If English is not your 1st language, dont use Vivint. Do not call them on the phone. Make sure everything is documented.

      This was a terrible experience. This company has so many lies from salesman to customer service. The salesman was not polite. He knocked the door during the weekend. When I opened the door, he walked straightly into my house without my permission. I am old and just fell for this *****************. The salesman didn't explain clearly to me on the price. The total price is higher than what they promised. I called the customer service. The customer service said they will give me a discount on my monthly service fee because I paid high price on the equipment. But they never give me the discount on my online bills. I called them again and again. Every time I called them, the customer service people were nice and promised me again and again, but they never implement what they promised.

      Vivint has locked me out of my accounts. I was told by phone rep that I was locked out of the app because I'm 2 months behind. I have been paying my bill every other month for years and have been very consistent. I have an email that said I have until 7/27/24 to pay before disruption of service. It is 7/26/24 today and I have been attempting to get online account access to make a payment for nearly a week. I am ALSO locked out of my online account but was told it was just the app, then they circled around and said it was online too. I do not make phone payments and do not authorize payments over the phone. If they're going to send out email documentation stating customers have until a certain date then maybe they shouldn't lock their accounts BEFORE that date. This is horrible practice.

      On late night 7/4 early morning 7/5 there was a break in and the Vivint security system did not go off. I was notified a day later of the break in when the neighbor called the police and the police arrived to board up a window. When I called Vivint they had no explanation for the system failure and offered one free month of service $49.99. My insurance deductible is $1000. What an offer. This company is awful and could care less about my loss.

      This was an awful experience. Salesman had no ID, Gave me so many lies, I cant remember them all. Trying to cancel has been a nightmare. I am old and just fell for this young student and I had to get a $4000.00 line of credit for equipment that was priced on their site as well under 700. Then they keep putting off getting equipment removed, only had service for 3 days before I stopped service. They will not release line of credit until the equipment is picked up, now scheduled for July 30. The equipment may be good but not worth $4000!!

      When i call to cancel an account i expect that it should be completed by the end of the call, I spent 10 minutes rejecting offers from the support person then was told that i needed to reply to an email to complete the cancellation. I told the support person several times that i would not be replying and that I would be calling my bank to report any further debits from vivint would be fraud and I will pursue legal action against any future debits. The product only worked for about 6 months and I've been paying for it for 5 years for no reason.
