      The reason why I gave it one star rating is due to fact the that the cancellation is on a 3 days base only instead of 30. I've been lie to by 3 or more employees by calling asking them to cancel my account. I called citizen bank and they confirmed that if I were to cancel with Vivint I wouldn't have to pay citizen bank nothing at all. I was also told by the door salesman that my credit wouldn't be affected in anyway, but after a couple days my score dropped

      We have had Vivint since August 2022 and were paying about $55/month to Citizen Pay for the equipment and then $31/month to Vivint for monitoring totaling an amount of about $86/month. In January 2024 a sales **** **** ******, from Vivint showed up at my door offering me a "free" upgrade to better, more state-of-the-art cameras, lights and motion detectors. I asked many questions including how this would affect our current monthly payments. I told him what we were paying the $86/month total and he told me that the monitoring fee would go down and that we would actually end up paying less per month. I confirmed this with him several times, because this was the only way I would consider going forward with the upgrade. He confirmed that would be the case so I thought that was a no brainer and we moved forward with upgrading our exterior cameras.After several months I realized that I have 2 credit cards that are being used to pay Vivint. So I now have the monitoring fee of $43.14 which went up from the original amount plus an additional equipment charge per month to Citizens Pay of $25.26. So I am paying over $120/ month obviously NOT less than I was paying I contacted **** ****** and asked him about this. He said hed look into it. I had to contact him several times and he texted me and said yes maam theres an error in the system thats been double and over charging customers. Theyre going to give you a refund within next 3-5 days. And a $15 credit on your next bill for the inconvenience this was a text he sent to me. Of course, this never happened.Last communication I had from **** ****** was May 30th and then radio silence I called Vivint and the person at Vivint explained that I now had 2 equipment charges and then the monitoring fee and the only way this could end would be if I paid off the equipment charges so no help there!But this is an absolute disgrace and I have no idea how Vivint is allowed to get away with this scam!!

      Worst company ever, I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. Had a system installed and was told it would be no problem to have the system moved to a new location free of charge. had no problem with the system until I called to have it moved to my new location. Now I have to pay almost $300, and its suddenly a problem for them to move the system. I've been waiting for a month now. **************** is horrible also, instead of finding a solution to the problem, they trying to get me to buy more merchandise, just awful.

      Salesman *** ****, is nothing but a con artist. He sold us a security system, promising that the equipment would be free. We wound up being charged for both monitoring and the equipment, while not disclosing that this is a five year agreement(contract). The first bill just came in the mail a week after it was due. *** ****, as well as Vivint is nothing more than a scam.

      I was a customer for ten years. They sent an update to my system which crippled two of my cameras. No notification that something like that would happen. So I agree for new cameras. Then their technician lied and said no one was home. Then canceled the appointment. The door camera bell luckily still works. Shows nobody coming to my door. Plus Im retired and my wife works from home. Trying to cancel. My contract already ended. They want 30days to cancel so they can charge me for another month. Even though *** already disconnected the system. Im now with ***. Do notI repeat DO NOT Do Business with Vivint!!!

      STAY AWAY. I have been trying to cancel my service since May 2024 and I'm still getting the runaround, all while they keep billing me for a service I don't need anymore.Every phone call results in the continuous unwanted sales pitch.I'm told that it takes 30 days to cancel service, in the meantime still billing. Well its been over thirty days.I had been with them since they purchased the previous company (****, 14 yrs or so), I wish I had the foresight to see the trouble this company is.Customer service is a joke, they tell you one thing and do another. I don't know if it is the language barrier or just company policy to just try and sell, sell, sell.Just remember STAY AWAY. And good luck to all those that want to cancel service, hopefully yours will go pleasantly.I had to leave a star rating of at least 1, I wish I could leave it blank.

      I have been paying Vivint since 2022 for equipment and services that I have been unable to use. The salesman who signed up my account explained that this was a service I could cancel anytime. But when I needed to cancel in 2023 due to a move to another address where I could not take the system, I was informed I could not cancel the service, and could not return the equipment and my only option was to pay a remaining balance or continue making the monthly payments. Vivint does not care about you or your homes security. They seek to send their part time sales force door to door in an attempt to lie and scheme and tell you whatever you need to hear to sign up for their service and then continue collecting your money. All of the devices I purchased, which I do not even have access to today, could be bought cheaper from a big box store and installed with no strings attached. Vivint is charging an exorbitant markup on devices and holding you the consumer responsible for paying for them.

      The worst company to get security system from they said we had 30 days to try it out and if we didn't want the cameras we could return it within that time frame and that was a lie I called this guy named ***** whom sold them to me and had a bunch of excuses like there sales team they are a joke

      Obviously Vivint needs to be put out of business. The salesman comes late in the afternoon and makes Vivint sound so great over CPI. He talked so fast and smooth to us as 65+ year old citizens. We have called 3 times over a 30 day period to have them remove the equipment. It's hard to understand the people over the phone, all we want is for them to remove what is installed and drop this whole thing. We don't have the full system that was introduced to us. ******* has already sent a bill out to us for $4000 with payments of $66.67 and another one for $115. They make you think you're getting a good deal with only one payment of $66.67 per month but that's not for the service, that's just for the equipment. Sales **** only lie. Please don't be hooked into this company. I wish we had looked at these reviews before we got tucked in.

      What has happened to this company? I will assume that the management team changed. Therefore, customer service is not a priority. The new Vivint has horrible customer service. In fact, I have been on hold over an hour as I am writing this review. Unfortunately, they can't seem to answer simple questions nor can they tell the truth when you call. Nonetheless, we cancelled our account and all of sudden no one knows anything about the letter that they acknowledged receiving. I will be sharing this with every Vivint customer that I know. We have been with them since 2008, but never again.
