Vivint is absolutely ZERO help when it comes to technical issues, my rep *********** ***** was an entire joke who took advantage of recent crime in our area. He offered me a discount for my monthly service that never came and then wouldnt respond to any of my emails or texts with concerns.Review fromSarah A.

Negative stars - disgusting and inappropriate behavior by their **** Yesterday a *** from Vivant came to our door and my husband told him we weren't interested. Today he came back and told me my husband was "working with him" on home security products. I told him no, we were not interested. He then asked if he could come in and use my bathroom and I told him no, I don't let anyone into my home. He then asked if he could go around the side of my house and pee to which I promptly said oh my god, no absolutely not. ******.Review fromCarlos P

I've been with VIVINT for the better part of a decade or longer and after calling for a new doorbell and automatic lock, I've been giving excuse after excuse and had my appointment changed 3 times:-Original appointment, the tech calls telling me they scheduled him on his day off and if I could reschedule, which I did happily.-Second appointment, same tech calls telling me they broke into his car and stole his equipment and if I could reschedule. I told this tech that I'd personally call VIVINT and reschedule with someone else.-Third appointment, I get a call and message from VIVINT to reschedule, after speaking with them, I get told that the tech for this appointment no longer works with VIVINT.This is ridiculous, I'm leaning towards getting rid of all this equipment and going with another company if this appointment. Can we at least get compensation?Review fromMichael P

If I could leave a 0 or a negative number, I would. I have had Vivint for 7 years and still they have my last name misspelled; but that is the least of my worries. In May 2024, I called to see if I could save any money on my account. Every time I call Vivint, I cannot hear the agent because it sounds like they are in a call center so loud it sounds like a circus or rodeo is going on behind them. I am told on that May call that I "verbally agreed" to a three-year contract but I could not understand the agent due to the noise behind her. I then call back in August 2024 to cancel my account with ********************** as I have not used my alarm since my roommate moved in in August 2023; so I'm paying for a service that I'm not using. I was informed that I was locked into a three-year contract and cannot cancel or I will owe the balance which was over $1300. Frustrated by this, I accepted a $10 a month discount (39 to 29) per month. I get my bill in September and it is still $39 so the discount was not applied. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told none were available. I told them it was not a rush and to have one call me back. I was then informed that no one would probably call me and to call back in a few days. They then sent me a "customer feedback survey" and multiple marketing emails about sales or referring a friend. I gave them a scathing review and someone named ****** sent me what I assume was an AI generated email or auto generated because I replied back (3 times) and have still not received a response and no supervisor has called me in two weeks. I will call them one last time but was hoping the BBB could step in. I would like to be released from this contract with NO CANCELATION FEE for a contract I did not "verbally agree" to.Review fromBrianna G

I would absolutely stay away from this company. They claim they will buy you out of your previous contract. They sent me a gift card but not fast enough I had to use my own account to pay the old ones off. I saved the gift card for what I was planning on using the money I used to pay off the gift card for and I guess they decided to keep my money due to me not using it fast enough. The gift card company told me to contact Vivint as they sent the funds back to Vivints account and ********************** is claiming I have to contact the gift card company for them to issue me a check. The two companies are literally blaming eachother and refusing to help me. I DO NOT recommend this company at all. They will lie to you and rip you off.Review fromAdrienne S

On August 8, 2024 a vivint representative came to our door soliciting for new customers. His name was ****** ******, he said the company was having a special for new customers. He asked how much we paid our current provider and said vivint would match it and upgrade our system with theirs. Our monthly payment would be $55.46 wich included a free system as long as we kept the services for 5 years. He even said they would buy out my ADT contact. Apparently he lied, he signed me up without me knowing, for a line of credit. And I received the bill for $3648.69. For the vivint system. We are a retired couple on social security. I never would have agreed to An expensive system when I already had one that was working for me. His tactics are fraudulent and he just outright lied and manipulate us into a long expensive contact. In addition to my monthly fee, I'm also charged $60.81 a month for equipmen that is debited from my account. we were told the equipment would be free.Review fromTASHA W

I have had Vivint service since 2016. I was told that I needed to get the newest cameras Oct 2023. Got tricked into installing new cameras...extra bill to pay (and by the way the bank no longer finances their equipment) Their newest cameras are not working well and is often OFFLINE.... It often decides not to record and we had issues viewing the cameras live even with the best Internet available in our area. Every time I call Vivint, Im asked: "Would u like to sign up for the $9.99 subscription for a technician to come out to your home when you need help?" Is this a scheme to get $10 bucks more from me monthly? No wonder they have to always troubleshoot from their end and Bam, camera works. Last night I was on the phone over 1 and half hours. Still the *** couldn't help me. Im fed up with the long drawn out waits and the attempt to gain more $$$ from me.Review fromOrlando B

DO NOT GET ****MED BY VIVINT!! I had to take off from work to make sure I was home during the appointment time which was between 12 - 5pm. The install tech did not show up until 5pm and then called my husband to say that he could not install our system unless my husband was there because he is the one that set the appointment. My husband, then left his work early, so that the tech could do the install. After our tech's call to his screaming and mad girlfriend in our living room and letting us know how put out he was about missing a birthday party that evening just to do our install, he 'got started' around 6 pm. Another ***** minutes was spent with him outside at his truck. We had to let him use our tools because he didn't have what he needed to get started...anyone seeing a pattern here. We should have seen the red flags flying and stopped right then and there. It was almost 9pm when he finished the install. 3 of our walls were damaged, we have a cord running from the ceiling down to the base boards and then almost four more feet over to our outlet, plus the mess and having to wander around to pick up our tools that were left all around inside as well as outside in the dark, along with 2 ladders he had to use of ours. As much as we tried to help accommodate him he was rude and annoyed. We have had nothing but equipment failures, including a front door that we can't even use because the lock stays locked no matter what we try (at least its locked I guess), cameras are constantly offline and the app doesn't work or just sits and buffers, despite having incredible internet speed and capacities and customer service is worthless. No tech has come out to help, despite our efforts and that doesn't even cover the monetary scam and money swindled. VIVINT IS SO BAD THAT WE HAVE BOUGHT OTHER SECURITY CAMERAS FOR OUR HOME AND LAND!!!! THIS IS THE **** OF ALL ****S!! Hopefully, there will be a class action lawsuit against this company and all of its 'branches'.Review fromMary C

Came to my door peddling home security on September 17. Before he got started, I asked how much the system cost. "Depends on your package' I was told--but it would cost me nothing to start. 45 minutes later--after trying to sell me everything they offer, ****** wants me to sign paperwork and I see 'financing agreement'. I ask him if this was a credit card. He said it wasn't--but a finance leasing agreement. Still didn't tell me how much the system was. It was $4000--for the exact same equipment I already had with Ring. I gave him back the pad, told him no--no way no how would I pay for this. Ever. He kept trying to sell it--I kept say no. I will not. I will not pay $4000 for security when I already have it. He wouldn't leave. Finally after arguing for 15 minutes, he left. Two days later, I get a notification that someone is at my door. ****** is BACK and this time he brought someone else to make the sale. I did not answer the door, They rang the bell three times and waited at least 10 minutes before leaving. Then I get a phone call from the salesman! I blocked his number. This aggressive sales approach is shameful. They are liars, sneaky and use high pressure to not only make the sale, but also to get you hooked with the equipment that very same night you sign up. I am so thankful I did not fall for this company. They should be ashamed of themselves.
