A sales *** named D a v i d ***** i c o came to our house and promised us that we would get a 200$ each **** card for 3 of our ring cameras. I've spent several hours on the phone with customer service trying to get this resolved turns out it was all a lie and all they can do is provide $200 for one of the cameras. when i called back to cancel they told me that i was stuck in a contract agreement and they will try to help/investigate..... this is ridiculous they cant honor what their own sales *** said and want to hold me accountable even though i was lied to. I'm pretty sure its illegal to lie and make a sale! I am sick and tired of calling trying to cancel when NONE of this is my problem. I even have everything in writing from the sales *** saying we would get this payment. Hopefully this gets resolved soon. if not I will be calling my attorney to try to sort this through.

Vivint is a total scam, I called to cancel the service after having it for less than a week because the system was not working properly at my residence and the sales *** never showed back nor did he answer my calls. When I spoke with loyalty team once I found the number on the website.. The agent told me I would have to pay for the equipment in order to get out of my contract. That is crazy and haven't had the service for 8 days. Do not get this service!

This has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a security system. I choose to go with Vivint as I heard they had a very good security system that would be reliable for a new rental property I bought. The installation of the service was fantastic, the installation crew was very knowledgeable and helpful in setting up and explaining the operation. They also upsold me on the service plan, (which I am glad I did). After about 45 days I started having issues with all 3 cameras on the system, plus I had a door sensor go bad. The door sensor was an easy fix, they sent out a new sensor that I had to install and set up myself. (Weird, thought it was a professional installation). Now we get into the cameras. I am going to keep it simple. They constantly disconnect and will leave you without video protection. Called to get service to come out and they said we needed to trouble shoot the cameras while on the phone. That was 3.5 hours of work by me even having to set up a ladder outside and resetting the cameras. This was a combination of talking with a representative on the phone and also a service technician from another state. After this did not work scheduled a service call (remember I bought the upgraded service package, so I am on the priority service schedule) The first appointment was 2.5 weeks out. Then the day the technician was scheduled to come, someone called and cancelled and stated they needed to reschedule. So, another week goes by without service. Now the service technician shows up and was awesome. He did a great job of looking over the system and literally replaced all the camera equipment in the house and still was not able to get the equipment to work. Upon calling customer service today they apologized for the inconvenience and offered to schedule another technician and give me 5 dollars off for the next 5 months. WHAT?? How about doing the right thing and cancelling the service and giving me a refund for a non-working service.

I've had problems with window sensors going off, always in the middle of the night, followed up by police visits. It's a good thing that the police response is working at expected, but what is wrong with Vivint's equipment? So I spoke with a *** who assured me that if I upgraded my outdated panel, the erroneous sensor issue would be resolved. Today the dealer technician appears on schedule with no shoe covers; okay I can clean my floors after he leaves. He proceeds to remove the old panel and install the new one, but instead of placing the new panel in the same spot he decides to install it about 4 inches to the right, leaving the holes from the previous panel visible. Why would anyone do this? He disregards all of the motion sensors and the glass break sensor completely excluding them from the new installation. Why? He then leaves his garbage, including the old panel, the boxes, the plastic covering, old screws and lithium battery on my kitchen counter. Why? The worse part is he decided to change my verbal passcode without my approval and without telling me. So when I contact customer service to help me setup the sensors he ignored, I can't get past the initial identity verification. Of course, there's no one in management available for me to talk to so I'm on a campaign to let the world know that Vivint is not a good company to do business with. I will be writing to the corporate executives requesting reimbursement for the ***air of the holes left visible on my wall.

I purchased the system in April 2024. I was not pleased with the system two days into. I called and asked Vivint to cancel their contract and come and get their equipment and said they didnt receive a call. Ive been paying them with my credit card and they said that they havent received any money from the credit card company. The credit card company gave me reference number a dispute letter. I email everything I spoke with someone. They said they were going to call me back and follow up which they didnt I have been the one calling them and today I receive a bill from them for four months stating that I owe them from June until September they cut off my service since the end of July where I dont have access to the app on my phone to see anything, but Im to pay for the four months, which I dont have access to look at my property and theyre saying that there are still surveillance my property, but I cant see anything and I must pay them before I can get access. This company cannot be trusted. Theyre liars and they are dishonest. They dont even deserve one star. They deserve a zero.

I was quoted a monthly monitoring rate of $32.14 by two different employees and when I went to start the service I was told the rate was $37.14 and that is what I was charged. I indicated that's more than the rate I was quoted in two separate emails. She indicated she couldn't honor that rate or she would get in trouble. Your company should honor the rates quoted in the emails and I have them for proof. I'm going to the better business bureau and state attorney ****************.

Can I give a negative star review? Vivint is by far the shadiest and least transparent business I have ever dealt with. I have tried to cancel their service numerous times over the past 4 years and each time was told I'd have to pay off the remainder of my contract and also pay for the equipment they gave me. Both of these things I did not sign up for. When we originally signed up in 2020 we were told that it would be month to month and that all equipment was free - this was a lie just to get us to sign a contract with tiny wording on a tablet that a Vivint door-to-door ******** had. I finally was able to allegedly cancel my service after paying nearly $300 for the remainder of my "contract". They trick you into signing up and then make it nearly impossible to cancel without paying some absurd amount of money. If there's a class action lawsuit out there against Vivint I would not be surprised and I'd like to be a part of it.
