      worst scam company ever! the equipment doesn't work and they claim it's flawless. It's constantly not working and they dare try to upsell while you waste 60 minutes about what is already faulty and new. **************** agents are just a call center trying to waste your time while they avoid processing the technician that you pay for. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH VIVINT! Fraudulent BS Nothing works

      Regret purchasing this system, constantly having issues with the equipment having to reset it all the time worst part is i have only had it for 3 months and had problems one week after it was installed. Cameras keep going off line or cant see video on their app due too wifi connection takes too long for video too show up , i have been given several excuses for it not working correctly like internet provider , that the panel is like a computer that it needs to be refreshed once a month! And had a door sensor go bad had problems with the door lock. If anyone is looking into vivint do not buy it! Worst security system ever plus if you buy it you can cancel the service but the equipment is yours and what good is it going to do you to have this equipment if you cant use it.

      I purchased a home in May, the prior owner had a system and left it for us. We never chose to use it. Then we come home this evening and its going off and they refused to help us get it off because we arent customers. After this I will never support this business. They are awful and have horrible customer service!

      This is the worst company ever!!!! I have been trying to cancel my account for over a month.. I do not have a contract because I purchased a home with the system installed. Now, I have sold that home and they keep the account in my name. The new owners information is being sent to me constantly. This is a massive security risk! Please dont use this company, its not safe.

      Extremely frustrated with their account cancellation process. I had called Feb 1, 2024 because I closed my business. I was extremely sick, exhausted, going through a divorce and then found out that I was somehow in a 5 year service contract (I thought I was only in one for the equipment which I paid off if Feb). I had 1 year remaining. I was told I had to pay half of the remaining contract ($366), but I could also transfer it. They had record that I had called Feb 1 stating I planned to cancel. All equipment had been disconnected and removed. I guess I forgot to follow-up, my bad. However, when I realized Oct 1 that I had been paying for a service I had disconnected in Feb. they said there was nothing they could do. I had to pay 1/2 of the remaining 3 months. I called the first day of the month when I realized I had been charged. They said SORRY! They couldn't even credit me at least half of the month of Oct because it was already charged. In the end I have ended up paying $549 + $100 for the remaining contract. When I let them know I had already paid more than what I would have, had I cancelled the service completely in February, they repeated Sorry! No way they could waive the $100 or anything. Needless to say, I will NEVER consider Vivint for any future needs, and will continue to share my story as a small business owner. When I had their service I spent countless hours trying to get it to work properly. Even had a theft but our cameras somehow went down during that time so we couldn't get the video. To top it off, the day after I cancelled I began to get scam calls regarding a problem with my Vivint account. They say to call back 888-xxx-9202 which I checked is a spam number. I called Vivint to double check all was ok and to ask them if they were aware that someone was scamming their customers, they dodged the issue. I am now getting 1 call a day and they started the day after I cancelled. Now I truly question how secure they are or if my info was sold?

      DO NOT USE. Not just because of the terrible equipment (constant false alarms) and customer service (wanting you to pay for them to fix their mistakes or DIY it youreslf), which had me wanting out for years. But because they are *********** took them 2.5 months to "allow" me to cancel my service after forcing me to PAY A FEE and submit paperwork confirming that I no longer do business with them, on July 15, 2024. Following this, they continued to charge me my monthly fee for the next two months. Each time, I called, chatted, and emailed with these people repeatedly asking them to stop service, stop billing me etc. This wasted hours of my life and my time. The representatives would always say the cancellation was "under review" and they could not help. One person pretended to help by saying they'd "expedite" the review. Finally, last week, I spoke to a technician - not a manager - just an every day technician answering the phone at approximately 9pm on a Saturday night, who, when I explained that I wanted the equipment disconnected simply DID IT FOR ME. It took her approximately 1 second to take the action needed to turn off the system. SO WHY on earth I ask, did Vivint waste hours of my life? Because, this is a scam. They refuse to let people cancel, and have a fake "cancellation review system" which is OBSCENE - especially after someone pays a cancellation fee and wants to be done. To top it all off, yesterday, on October 3 - precisely 2.5 months after requesting and paying to cancel, and approximately 2 MONTHS AFTER I MOVED OUT OF THE RESIDENCE, I finally received a phone call confirming I'm cancelled (I assume I only got this call because of the kind person who disconnected for me), and asking me if I want to buy more service from them.

      I never recieved a contract of service starting in 2022 even though having multiple technicians in and out of my home from installation to the multiple repair visits. The contract I saw is online and electronically signed. Due to hardship I had to jointly sell the home that had Vivint smart Home installed. I did not receive any profit from that sell. I moved in with a family paying rent for a room. I no longer have the privilege of home ownership. There is no clause for me to cancel the Sevice at ********************************* Unless I at ******** cancellation. I dont have any funds to pay that amount of money. On Oct2,2024 when I called to cancel, I was told that I could not till the amount owing was paid. When I sent someone to remove the Vivint wall panel. I was not allowed to do that, by the new owner, who said Vivint Home Security System came with the house and would not allow TJ panel to be removed , nor the cameras. The system is still active in my name , after I called to cancel it on Oct. 2, 2024.

      I canceled my service in Februrary, and in September they are still charging me. I spoke with someone a couple of months after I canceled when I noticed they were still charging me. They ensured me they would handle it and refund me the extra they had charged... but I haven't seen the refund and have continued to be charged.

      Where to start--this company is awful! **************** is a joke, they tell you one thing and then it does not happen. I have been trying to cancel my service for over a month, they promised it would be taken care of and I would not receive any additional charges. My CC was charged again today. I called into customer service and they agreed that I should not have been charged and said they would being the refund process but it could take up to 2 weeks. Then they guy tried to convince me to stay. Prior to that, I had problems with the equipment never working correctly, had to be fixed multiple times and each time they tried to sell us new equipment. Instillation put cut a big hole in my wall for the new panel, when asked why it was so large, he said it was because he had big hands and needed additional space. Now I have to have my wall repaired too.Avoid this company at all costs, they are over priced, equipment is lacking and customer service is subpar.

      Nothing works as advertised. I constantly have to restart my cameras. I have to do a power cycle on the whole system about every three days. The cameras do not zoom in as advertised. They say as a veteran I was getting the equipment and installation for free with three free months of service, what they don't tell you is you are secretly signing up for a credit card to pay for the equipment. When you call customer service they are rude and blame your internet service. I highly do not recommend.
