      Vivint is a HORRIBLE security system! I have had this system for less than 2 years and I have wasted an immense amount of time on the phone with customer service struggling to fix a multitude of issues with this faulty system! My average call time SPEAKING to a customer service *** is 1.5 hours! I understand going through protocols for troubleshooting, but spending over 1.5 hours each time to rarely resolve the issue is ridiculous! On top of that, when they decide new equipment needs to be shipped out to ***lace their faulty equipment, they want to charge me fees to send it to me! I should not have to pay for something that I did not break! Also, the tech who originally installed my home security system, installed motion sensors upside down! I have had multiple window and door sensors malfunction. When my front door sensor malfunctioned, the customer service *** told me my front door would be unsecured until the new sensor arrived. I live alone and telling me that my home, especially my front door, will not be secure for 3-5 days is unacceptable! How is that supposed to make me feel safe?!? My cat accidentally set off the motion sensor alarm, and I didn't receive any security verification call or notification from the app that my alarm was triggered. When I contacted Vivint to ask about the alarm and if I will have to pay a fee for them disbatching the police to check on my home, they said I have to pay extra for that service! But on a different occasion, while the system is armed "away" I have been able to enter my home without the alarm going off because the main hub panel has frozen/crashed! I absolutely HATE that I'm stuck in a contract with them for 5 years, and I HATE that I'm paying them money every month to cause me anxiety about my safety. Moral of the story: You pay for cheap security, so you get no security!

      Let me say theyre product, is not worth the time and money put into it. Half the time it doesnt work and when it does it makes our WiFi no longer work. We tried to get out of our contract, but they want us to pay out a ridiculous amount thats unreasonable. They wasted our time and money on top of damaging our home we havent even been in for a year yet. We seek justice.

      I called in cancelled my account as I was selling the home. The representative asked me if I would use their services at a later date and I said sure once I purchase a new home I will contact you. 3 years later I am receiving countless calls a day from a collection agency about my vivint monitoring subscription for a home I no longer own on equipment I bought out right up front. DO NOT USE this *************. They want almost $400 for services that were activated by the new owner and never paid. We were still being charged for the services but did not notice until our credit card on file expired. The current owner enjoyed a monitoring service being paid for by me for 3 years and now I am in collections because I refuse to continue paying for a service I terminated before the sale of my house.

      The cameras and updates are ??. After moving, they charged us $500 to cancel our contract and pay off the equipment, after 4 years. Then because we didn't send a "cancelation' email they kept charging us after we paid everything off and canceled with the customer representative. I would not recommend them to anyone.

      My parents had a horrible experience with Vivint! Their sales person promised that they would buy out their active security service contract and then when the time came only wanted to pay a third of what they promised! When we tried contacting their sales *** she never responded to our calls or texts! We decided to cancel the contract but were railroaded into paying for the month of service we had, which we didnt feel we should be responsible for since Vivint never paid off our other security service (at this point we were being billed by two companies). It wasnt until we used the key words elder abuse did we finally get them to agree to cancel our contract with no money owed.

      Vivint is a SCAM Beware of This Company!Ive had a nightmare experience with Vivint, and its clear from reading the reviews that Im not alone. I requested a cancellation of my service on June 25, 2024, and have followed up multiple times, yet they continue to ignore my requests. Despite my contract ending in 2022, they kept charging my cards. I successfully disputed the charges with *************************, but Vivint refuses to stop billing me.Their "cancellation process" is a joke. They either ignore you, continue charging you, or force you into unnecessary disputes. Vivints customer service is completely unprofessional, and they make it nearly impossible to cancel. This company thrives on deceptive practices, and after reading hundreds of other complaints, Im convinced they are nothing more than *********** NOT fall for their tricks! Stay far away from Vivint if you value your time, money, and peace of mind.

      Worst company! They are deceptive and overcharge for equipment that does not work and their only solution is to upgrade. Everytime they came out to fix a problem, they created another one that they did not fix. I have been with them for years. I have had issues with them for years.... like at least since 2017! If I hadn't been scammed out of $1500 for s***** equipment that has never worked, I wouldn't have gotten rid of it years ago.

      BEWARESo, we were a previous customer till we moved out of state. To cancel your account you will be charged again until you send in an email to say you cancel and that will take up to 30 days. Well sent in the email because they will not let you talk to a supervisor basically refusing and then start to get rude. Therefore after the 30 days of course I was charged again because the review was not finished. Then the representative tells me I see you opened the email well dah of course I did so I could email you the cancellation. Then she said I did it wrong and did not put all the information needed. I said then youre going to charge me again she said until we get the email correctly then in 30 days they would review and you will be charged again. What I was beyond ****** which lead me to call my Bank and apparently they do this to every one and was advised they will send to collections. Therefore now I will be writing the BBB. So be aware!!!Vivint4931 *********************

      0 stars. The security company is quite frankly, the worst. Their customer service is even worse. You pay so much money with no resolution to problem-solving. I do not recommend anyone who is reading this to put your hard working money into a business that doesnt find resolutions. I Feel like we were scammed into this service. They give you the runaround and still take money from you monthly without solving any issues that they have.

      If I could give them less than 1 star I would. Extremely difficult to cancel your services. They continue to bill me after multiple contacts with them. Then you can't get off the phone with them because they continue to try to keep you by offer other services and lowering your bill. Then you have to talk to multiple people to get the service cancel. Save yourself the hassle and do not contract with this company. They should go out of business.
