      I originally had *** as my current provider. My husband was at work, I had a toddler and a new born when a Vivint ***resentative knocked on the door and informed me that Vivint could protect my home much better than ADT and that they would handle the cancelation of ADT for me (they did not). Vivint ***resentative installed the sensors so tight that they ripped the paint off of the wall when the window was opened and the sensors fell off the wall. He also labeled the sensors incorrectly for each room. He drilled the hole in the door frame so large that I could no longer lock my front door. He also drilled my front door and destroyed it as well. He said he was going to get me a Vivint sign from the truck for my yard, he left my front door wide open and never came back. I called Vivint and was able to get the sensors labeled right but I had to affix them back to the window seals my self. They were suppose to cut me a check for the damages but instead credited my account after multiple calls requesting to know when the check would arrive. When my contract was set to expire, they sent another *** to my home that promised to fix everything. He did not and I got a huge bill that somehow turned into a credit card after two years without my authorization. Their equipment is cheaply made and falls apart when you try and change the batteries. I have been trying for hours to get a copy of my contract and every ***resentative tells me they are not authorized to give me a copy of my contract. They will not make service calls to fix their defected equipment and they want you to set on the phone for HOURS while they troubleshoot. But, if you want a new system, someone can be there within the hour. With all the complaints I see posted online I can't understand how they are still in business. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS "SERVICE". CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE IF YOU CAN EVEN GET SOMEONE TO SPEAK TO YOU.

      Absolutely the worst is not a security company or camera company charges you 4k for the product and services then tells you you have to pay extra to be able to record video, have to call them out twice a month for other issues or door bell camera not working, having very inexperienced techs installing system to were they have to come back and do it 3 more times, from the first day of install got told I have 3 days to cancel after they put hols in the walls, and then the door bell camera didn't work but would be a week till they can come out and fix it but did not want to compensate the time for it and was never able to use the full system now they want 3k to cancel and can barely afford them to begine with especially having to take off work every time they have to come out , with terrible phone and in person services

      Great product horrible service aftethe sale if your equipment fails they charge to ship you parts and expext you to spend hours on phone programing thier product.if it still fails they want to charge 99dollars to send a technician to fix broken equupment unless you buy a service at 9.95 a month what a rip off of a company no wonder they have been. Sued

      Avoid Vivint! I was lied to by the salesman. System is not compatible with Deako smart home switches. *** also is not compatible. DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT. I absolutely hate vivint.

      Vivint is a total scam!!!! On October 6, ************************************************************** our home on 9/1/24 after noticing a unauthorized withdrawal/transaction form a company by the name of *************************** When I reach out to ******* to see what and why were they taking money out of my account I was told that I applied for a line of credit in the amount of $4,000 via Vivint for alarm system equipment that was installed that I was told by the salesperson from Vivint that we would not be charged for. The ************* advised me to reach out to Vivint to cancel the service, have Vivint come to remove the equipment from my home, have Vivint call them to let them know that equipment has been removed and they would refund me all monies and close the account. After speaking with the Fortiva Representative I reached out to Vivint to have the service cancel and equipment removed from my home, they are giving me the run around because Vivint has opened this credit card account and charged me for equipment that the salesperson **** said I would not be charged for. If I had not seen that unauthorized transaction, I would have never know about the credit card nor would I have allowed Vivint to install the equipment in our home. Everything that has been done was done on a table that the salesperson **** had in his possession, so therefore I DID NOT sign any contract or service agreement which leaves me to believe that any signatures were done electronically by the salesperson ****. On yesterday 10/14/24 I made a 2nd request for copies of this so called sales agreement that the Vivint *** claims was signed by me, and I still have not received it, I wonder why! Vivint and Fortivia are both running scam. All I ask is for Vivint to cancel the service, for Vivint to retrieve their equipment from our home so that this ******* account can also be closed and all funds drafted can be refunded to me.

      I canceled my account the same day after finding out their tactics (scams) and bad systems. But they wouldnt process my refund instantly. I had to call ten time and confirm with their customer service that this is my last call before I call my bank and file a dispute against them then the agent over the phone told me its processed ****** NOT Consider VIVINT they are scammers.

      On August 28 A door salesman named **** came to my house to talk about a home security system. I asked him is this a contract he told me no he said Cancel at any time I have the cameras and the sensors. He told me that my payment would be $113 a month he asked for my Social Security number And then he asked for $49 to put the equipment in my house that day like a week laterFortiva Retlail credit A bill for $3803.24 that I did not sign for a credit card. I called the credit card company and asked him what was his bill for they told me it was for the equipment but I told him I never signed up for a credit card, my credit is bad. They told me to call Vivint so I did. He told me that it was for the equipment and I will have another bill for $49 for the monitoring system so the credit card bill is $63.42. they took out , the money out of my checking account I was told if I wanted to cancel I would have to pay the $3803.24 and then pay the $49 a month. I am 63 years old on disability income, I did not notice man was going to take me for granite my credit is shot now because it is I do not have the money to pay for all this. I was misled on everything even the contract. It was no contract paper given to me to sign. They emailed me a contact that I never read. This is a terrible company , stay away from them. Ive learned the ****** never let anybody in your house specially, as salesman. I want to cancel and take this credit card because I was misled please help

      I would recommend anyone who is considering this company to reconsider. In Sept. 18, 2024, I called Vivint to troubleshoot a panel issue that was saying my sensors were low. Unfortunately during that troubleshooting call, I was asked to remove a live wire from my box that supports my alarm system. I DID NOT remove it and ended up leaving the call. I called back and got a guy in ****** was was very helpful. He tried remotely resetting the panel and it worked until the next day. I then had to call back since the issue recurred and got someone in the **. She tried resetting the panel remotely again, and set up a technician to come out. She advised me to add a plan to my service that would cost me 9.99 per month that would help me avoid paying the $99 technician fee. The technician NEVER SHOWED for the appt, however I was still charged the fee for the service. In my frustration I tried canceling my service altogether. An agent in ***** told me that I couldnt cancel my service on the weekend. Called back the following Monday to cancel. Explained the issue and informed the agent that a tech NEVER CAME. The agents only goal was to sell me new service, NEVER addressing my current issue. After being adamant about canceling my service, the agent reluctantly did so. However, I received an email that my cancellation is still being reviewed almost a month later. I believe this is being done so that they can keep charging me. There is no way I am going to let them charge me again, esp with me having no updated equipment of theirs. People, stay away!!
