      When we went into contract with ******, our salesman lied over and over. We were told one move was free...BIG LIE! We were told he would be there for any issues....BIG LIE. It is a racket, lie to get the contract and then make you pay for the promised benefits. I hate what this company is. I wish I had never signed. We HAVE to move in to care for an elderly parent and knew we eventually would and that a major contributor to signing. Just wrong business practices. Remember what they say is NOT true.

      Probably the worst service company I have ever worked with. We sold our home in Nov 2023 and paid off our entire equipment balance so that the system could be transferred to the new home owner. When the Vivint techs arrived to help setup the system in the name of the new homeowners, they told the new homeowners that the system that worked with no issues 2 weeks prior when we had possession of the home wasn't working, needed upgrading and required putting new holes in the wall, which the new homeowner refused to do and stopped the transfer. As soon as we found this out, we put our intent to cancel and reviewed contract terms with Vivint, which had us responsible for payments through August 2024 - which we begrudgingly have paid without fail (even after losing the thousands of dollars of equipment to the new owner who tossed the system). After being charged in September 2024, after our contract ended, we contacted Vivint to find out why we were still being charged and they said it would end and that the charge was a mistake. We were then charged in October, November and now December 2024. After spending ANOTHER hour on the phone with their "loyalty" department we were informed that we were supposed to submit an email in August 2024 RECONFIRMING our notice of cancellation even though they had all the recorded calls, chats and emails showing that we never wavered from this decision. We immediately submitted our additional emailed notice of cancellation but still have no faith that this nightmare will end. If they charge us in January, we will have no choice but to cancel our checking account and open a new one that Vivint has no access to, as that seems to be the only way to halt the fraudulent charges. They received nearly $1000 in service fees from us over the last year+ for services that were provided to equipment that doesn't exist. They refuse to refund Sept Oct Nov Dec 2024. Worst customer service ever. Worst experience. Would never recommend. Run far and fast.

      ***** this business at all costs. While the service they provide is adequate, the customer service is terrible and canceling your account is near impossible, Employees will go on endless rants trying to upsell, get you to agree to continue your service, or really just anything unrelated to the reason you are calling. Do yourself a favor, buy your own equipment and install yourself, do not give this company your business. I would give zero stars if I could.

      We were very excited to have Vivint in the beginning, but the more time that passes the more we regret switching from ADT. The app works maybe 55% of the time, we are constantly having to reboot our doorbell camera, and the main panel, its a weekly event anymore, and still it doesnt work 100% after contacting to reach out to customer support and the fact I have learned how to reboot everything myself since I have had to make the several phone calls, which their customer support isnt the best either. We were with ADT for several years before making the change and fully regret it now.

      Vivint Sales person told me they will Buy Out my contract with *** at a 100% and my monthly will be less. After all the install I ended up with a $50 more fees on my monthly bill which the *** told me because I added more services. Am about to ready to cancel my services with ADT, ADT told me my Buy Out amount was like $3k+++. I reached out to my sales *** and to their loyalty department and they told me they only cover $1,500.00. Now I need to pay the difference. This is a scam, they told me they will cover 100% of my contract but it's not. After several attempts to have this resolved, Vivint is only offering a $250.00 statement credit and I still need to pay the Buy Out difference from ADT. I escalated this issue several times, no action was made by Vivint. I told them to cancel my services and they told me in order for them to cancel I need to pay $4k++. Now my Vivint sales *** is dodging all my calls and texts. He is no where to found. I am stuck with 2 services right now one from ADT and Vivint and I am paying almost $300 a month on both. I don't know which one to cancel, I don't have the means to pay the contracts.

      This is the worst company ever. Their customer service is atrocious. They get you coming and going and they make you pay out the ********** not ever get this company if I could do a negative review. I would.

      I was a loyal customer of ********************** for over 4 years. I recently sold my home and called to cancel the service. I was told that the proper protocol was to see if the buyers would want to continue an account with ********************** and transfer my account to them. They said if the account was not transferred they would inform me via email and I could cancel my account then. I was never contacted by Vivint like they said, so I was shocked to receive a late notice from them. Come to find out I owed them for the past month after the home sold. To add salt to the wound I also owed the following month as they had a 30 day cancellation policy. None of this would have happened if they had cancelled my account like I previously asked, or informed me that the buyers did not transfer my account like they said they would. They have terrible business practices and treated their longtime customer poorly.

      Within two days of the alarm system being installed, the sliding glass door alarm stopped working. I contacted the person that installed it and the person that sold it to me. Neither bothered to call back, but both parties stated to call them anytime and they would help out with any issues. After contact the parent company, the said they would send a new alarm for the door but I had to install it myself. I pay extra for their so called insurance plan where they claimed they would come out to do repairs. To date, I have not seen a Vivint repair person and I get do not get any help from customer service. My camera no longer works in the backyard, again no help from this company. Their equipment is cheap and poorly made. When the Vivint tech installed their equipment, I asked them about removing the old equipment. I was told it wasnt their problem! ***! So I have two sets of alarms on my doors, two sets of fire alarms on the wall. Looks super tacky. I would not have put their equipment in if I had known that. Its complete BS that Im suppose to replace their poor quality equipment myself. Im elderly and disabled. Vivint sold me on their company by lying and stating, if I bought their insurance for the equipment and home service repair, that they would come out any time there is a problem with the equipment. Problem since day 2, still no repair person. Told to do it myself. Buyers beware!!! Company is a scam and a ripoff!!! Im paying $60 more a month than I did with ADT.

      Vivint home security service does not deserve to carry the name home security. I been with this company less than five months and I know I have called tech support ten times or more only to be my own technician by phone with customer service on the phones. I tried to cancel my service but didn't meet the five day cancelation which is not time to determine if the system work or not. My keyless front door lock started malfunctioning 12/05/2024 called for tech support they said the earliest they get someone out is 12/14/2024. I said so you telling me I have to live unsafe for 9 days but when I purchased this system yall was here to install the same day. I don't recommend ***** to use this company. They have the poorest security service I have never used.

      The sales pitch I was given made it sound like the equipment would be paid over time within the service fee amount. When I did the math of my payment to the lender that they required I use for the equipment and the monthly fee and their financing payment the equipment looked like it totaled $8,000. I called customer service to get a break down of each equipment item cost and I was on the phone forever because they did not want to give it to me. Finally I received an email with the information I requested and it did not total the *** sheet they gave me. I did not have a good feeling about this "deal". and I was in my cancellation period and called again to cancel my service. When I had a representative on the line, I said I want to cancel. They talked and tried to change my mind and I said I just want to cancel a few more times. I couldn't get them to cancel and I was on the phone for over an hour so I caved. It was like being interrogated and then caving just to get off the phone. I highly regret that decision
