      Sales Rep showed up to my house with a laminated page that had a security system control panel printed on it that looked like mine. He said if I have this one, it's going to be out of warranty soon and won't work in the future, due to it being 3G and everything is moving to 5G. I said in that case let's replace it. I was under the assumption he either worked for ADT or was affiliated with them in some way. I later found out he was with Vivint, I hadn't heard of this company and since a 3rd party company installed my ADT system, I thought that Vivint was taking over my service in that regard. Red flags went off when he said he had a technician in the area that could be at my place in **************************************************** to the installation of the new panel. I signed a contract, not knowing that Vivint wasn't associated with ADT. Turns out that contract was for 5 YEARS. I thought I asked all the right questions before I signed the contract. I had paid for the equipment when ADT installed it. I want to say he told me I hadn't if I only paid 850 dollars and that I'd be paying for the equipment also. Turns out he was LYING, I had paid for the equipment. He said they'd give me $1000 towards a buyout. I asked what if it's more than $1000, he said that vivint would cover the rest if that was the case. He then tried to reassure me by saying that he had other customers in similar situations and they're total was only like $900. When I contacted ADT about cancelling, they told me I'd owe 1over $1400. Since I didn't get it in writing that they'd cover the extra amount, I highly doubt they would honor what he said. I'm now back with ADT and will work with a consumer advocacy group to get out of my contract with Vivint and their asinine 3 day cancellation policy.

      Worst customer service ever!!! There isn't enough space in this little box for all the words I have. Go with SimpliSafe. Save yourself! Good equipment. Bad people. The will lie to you, hang up on you and if you leave a review they just say call the 800 number. So they can make sure your issue is resolved. But it's never resolved. Seriously. They won't let you move your own system. So they can charge you to do it. Really, go with a different company.

      The guy showed up looking like a city employee so I answered the door I wish I wouldn't have. Told him many times I could not do the deal today would not take no for an answer. From these reviews thank god I didn't. Was really against me taking my time and doing the research all people should do before committing to something like this. Now after looking at these reviews I understand why. Do not ask to go into someone's house I do not know you. I don't want you in my house. Saying stuff like what if someone breaks into your house tomorrow. Better think that line over again. Cause if someone breaks into my house tomorrow I think I have a good idea who. Told him I didn't have the cash to do it today. He turned around and looked at my car which is a mid-range car I'll give him that. And said "I have a hard time believing that". That was about the time I was over the conversation and went back inside. He started off very nice and then got pushy and aggressive with the sale saying oh well we can "probably" get you a two month trial period where you can use it for free and if you don't like it you can cancel at anytime. I figured this was a lie and turns out from all the other reviews it is. I feel like I gave this guy too much info and I'm now stuck here wondering how that info will be used.

      I had the worst customer service with this company. In July i called to set up a system at my new apartment i was moving to. These people attaches themselves to the ************* customers just to defraud them of their hard earned money. Please beware of them Georgia customers!!!!! I never received a system because they sent it to a different address. i reached out to them 2 days after my initial conversation to let them know i was not going to move as planned and so, i would like to cancel.. I did call them within the 30 day cancellation window. I called them the following week , I was told the system was shipped out to an address that was not in my town or city. I told them to cancel this order. Towards the end of August they told me my system was set up and so they proceed to take another $149.99 a total of $299.98..Called them and they told me they have to send a Tech out and it will cost me $99. Whenever they come to check. At this point i hope they get the correct address. And give me my money they are taking every month. Worst Company Ever

      DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! A door to door salesman swindled me into purchacing this system under the promise that,1. The system would work without needing to pay the service fee. Meaning that if I didn't want the "Professional Monitoring" I could still run the system normally. This was only a half truth, while the system does work when you use the wall tablet that you overpaid for, the system will not work on your mobile device unless you pay the service fee, which for me was $30 a month. $30 A MONTH FOR AN APP?! Every other security system I know off give you mobile functionality for FREE!2. I could connect to the Smart Hub with my computer and download/store the video footage locally on a Hard Drive. THIS WAS A LIE! The security camera footage is only stored in their cloud, which you have to pay the $30 to view, you CANNOT store any footage locally!After I signed the contract and had nothing but dissatisfactory experiences with them, I wanted to cancel my service. I paid off the equipment and called them. They at first wanted to offer me a pathetic $5 off my service fee for a year, I said no. They then offered $10 off, I declined. After that, they THREATENED me with a $600 DISCONNECT FEE because my "service agreement" wasn't over yet. I shot back with a "HELL NO" because my contract (which they didn't bother to read or honor) specifically states, "If, at any point during the initial term of this Contract, you FULLFILL YOUR OBLIGATIONS TO PAY ALL AMOUNTS OWING FOR THE PURCHASE OF ANY EQUIPMENT pursuant to the **** then you may terminate this Agreement WITHOUT PENALTY OR EARLY TERMINATION FEE with thirty (30) days prior written notice."THESE CROOKS WANTED TO BREAK THEIR OWN CONTRACT IN PURSUIT OF MORE MONEY!Please read your contracts before you sign them, I would have been scammed out of $600 if I didn't.

      I don't have a Vivint system and never will. Their sales rep just pounded on my front door multiple times at 9:30 at night expecting me to answer and discuss security systems. I don't think so. He's lucky I didn't call 911.
