This is the worst company EVER. I bought a system with them in 2018 and the seller told me the contract was for 3 years, well! No, somehow the contract was for 5 years. I paid everything in 2021 in full and they still need you to cancel the account, but not just sending an email but also waiting for a second email, I did all of that and now after more than a year they charged my credit card in 2022 again out of the blue, now they are sending a passed do bill to my house.HORRIBLE COMPANY. customer service even worse.

Vivint Smart Home Security signed me up. They told me that the installation was free but failed to mention that they charge $2,569.00 right up front. they said it was $21 a month. Turn out that they contract with ************** and charged me with the equipment for several thousand dollars. ************** (not my bank) actually OPENED UP AN ACCOUNT IN MY NAME AND SOMEHOW ACCESSED MY DIRECT CHECKING ACCOUNT SO THEY COULD DRAW MONEY MONTHLY FROM MY ACCOUNT. I WOULD NEVER ALLOW THAT TO HAPPEN. Now to quit the service, they said I must pay off ************** for thousands. They used computerized signatures to sign my name!!! I ****** them and they already had a 20 million dollar lawsuit for identity theft, changing names on credit cards, etc and do a sneaky way to get people to sign up. I have a lawyer now but it has caused much stress. Stop this evil company and bank too.

Minus 10 if possible. We have had Vivint for 5 years. A salesman came to my daughter's home she told the salesman she could not afford it, he wanted to talk to her husband so he came back later. Her husband talked to them and before they left the had him in a contract and were installing stuff. He was told a $71.00 per month fee. But that evening they noticed the $71.00 + $500.00. They tried to stop it but no way to. They were never told about a $500.00 fee. They were told nothing out of pocket. Then Vivint said the equipment had to be removed before a refund would be issued, then ***** days wait. Still waiting and it has been 23 days since Vivint stole their money. It has caused their checking account to be overdrawn, and they are trying to feed 2 children and my daughter is pregnant. Needless to say I will cancel my service and blast them as much as possible. Poor customer service!

The apartment I lived in while my house was being built forced us to get Vivint and they have been stealing my money since July when i moved out. I called and canceled in July and at least 2 time after that to make sure my account was closed, but they have charged me twice now and refuse to give me any type of email confirmation that my accounts are closed, just reassuring me over the phone that everything is closed. I have just gotten my credit card company involved so hopefully they will stop stealing from me.Do not get Vivint for anything, they will steal from you.

Starting on Tuesday, September 20, two men started lurking around our neighborhood under the guise of trying to sign people up for Vivint, the security company. One was driving a white sedan with AZ plates. The second man used scare tactics in his pitch. They asked our neighbors personal information about the other neighbors including if their vehicles are always parked there. On Thursday, September 22, they became two men who began casing our neighborhood, documenting potential targets for future break-ins on their devices, according to ****** the Vivint Guy, and were at our neighbors house after 9:00 P.M. in full darkness, on our neighbors dark porch for at least five minutes. Another neighbor right across from us confronted him and asked him what he was doing and then told him he was calling the police, and Vivint man said do it before immediately running off. Later, upon a sheriff deputy supervisors advice, I called Vivint and to voice our concerns and file a complaint. At first I was given the run around but finally was connected to a non-local manager. He said he would see if he could connect us to a local manager in **************, CO. The local manager refused to let them give me a way to contact him. Obviously, this is not a security company I would trust my security to as they harass potential clients for days on end, repeatedly threaten break-ins as a sales tactic (as if THEY would do it to prove a point), pointedly ignore no trespassing/no solicitation signs, and, as there is no home office locally, must do business out of the back of a van. As of last night, September 24, they have now canvassed our street for the fifth day in a row even though all of our neighbors have repeatedly called law enforcement demanding that they stay away, even after repeating that demand last night that we dont want them here. ****** the Vivint Guy threatened, as he walked off, well see how you feel when your house gets broken into.

I wish I didn't have to give a star, because Vivint is terrible. We're a military family and so accordingly we HAVE to move. Trying to get re-installation has taken me 2 months, 6 thirty minute+ calls, and 4 no call/text no shows. Still nothing installed! We will be doing everything in our power to get away from this company. Their customer service is an absolute joke.

I'm a Realtor and my client was delayed to Closing because of Vivint. The Buyer stated he wanted the system out of the house before he would close. My Seller didn't want to take Vivint to his new property. He wanted to close his account. He and I called Vivint over a dozen times to request closing it and get the system taken out of his home. Each time we called it was exactly the same: The main ****************** chatted for maybe 5 minutes and then put us on hold for maybe 10 minutes. We had to give the next person all the information, again, and chatted and that person sent us to someone else. Etc. until about 45 minutes of holding and being sent on to the next ****************** person, on the last hold of 20 minutes (by then, we were afraid to hang up because we had already put so much time and effort into it)...they simply hung up before we got to speak with another person. My client's mother also tried to get this cleared up by phone (as there is no office to go to and talk in person...very convenient) and made 4 calls with the same experience and results. In total, over 3 days and many, many frustrating calls later...my client had to hire another "security" company to come ASAP and take out the system. This is a company masquerading as a reputable company. It's all OK until you have to close your account. Then, forget ******************. It is upsetting, time-wasting, and they have no intentions of assisting. BTW On letting my Realtor friends know about this experience, one of them told me they had the same exact situation with her grandmother. This company preys on Seniors.

This is basically a door-to-door Salesman junk scam security company. I have items that were installed that do not work they refuse to fix those I told them I didn't need the key fob because it doesn't work if you push the button outside your door you have no idea whether it's armed or disarmed it's easier just to pull out your phone so the key fob is pointless they will not take that off my account I live in an apartment they gave me water sensors for under the sinks I have renters insurance and the apartment complex takes care of that kind of stuff why would I need water sensors in a second story apartment complex also when I tried to plug a lamp in to the same power outlet that the panel is plugged into it sent out Sparks and the panel started freaking out and the alarm went off so I had to tell them yeah I don't need any authorities it was a false alarm all because the installer damage the power outlet. I told company this and they told me to hire an electrician and then send them the bill. Are they crazy? They haven't done anything to help me set from the beginning they know I'm disabled they've done nothing but take advantage of me and if you want to get out of the contract you have to pay the entire contract in full as well as pay for all the equipment in full. I have already hired an attorney I am a man of principal if I have to pay more to my attorney than it would cost to get out of the contract I would rather put Vivint through the same stress that they've put me through so now I do have to call electrician because Vivint is not going to come out and fix it they put a huge hole in my wall they said it was going to be small and not very invasive but they put a massive hole in my wall I don't recommend Vivint you would be better off with ADT or Brinks this company will rip you off once they have your system installed and your signature on the contract they don't care anything about you they just want your money and they lie to you constantly about what they can do to help you and then they pass you on to the next representative who will lie to you with more lies and then pass you to the next representative and then this could just keeps happening I tried to tell them that yes it's Friday night and I need this Outlet fixed tomorrow this is a fire hazard and their answer was to call an electrician do you know how much electrician charges during the night and on weekends it's quite a bit so they expect me to wait till Monday and they she still said she wouldn't send anybody out to fix it they said it's my problem and to have an electrician fix it this is all unacceptable the camera doesn't work when the Wi-Fi shuts off doesn't make any sense to me the key fob is useless water sensors are useless they've done nothing to help me all they've done is take advantage of me so stay as far away from this company as possible they are Crooks they lie to you and they will do everything they can to take your money and to get out of the contract the only way you can get out of this contract is to die.

Vivint installed a home security system and refuses to provide any assistance with problems. They installed it and left. Two days later I found the cameras didnt work completely. Vivint refused to send a technician and wanted me to get on a ladder and fix it myself. Next I needed help with my garage door they hooked up. They refused to help me again. I am now paying for a ********************* to fix what they are responsible for. Vivint is a company that will install their product they cut ties and leave the consumer without any assistance.
