Like most other comments my experience has been horrible with Vivint. Matter of fact, if you search vivint reviews you'll find that a majority of reported positive reviews are listed on sites where you can't see actual customer reviews meaning you can't just post a review. Which also means those reviews are most likely sponsored i.e. paid reviews. My equipment has never worked. **************** seems friendly enough but who cares if the equipment is c*** I could go on forever with how bad this company is but just read for yourself and don't end up a sucker like I did.

The representatives just completely lied about the cost of the service. They came with all this talk about how wonderful their service is and how we could get it all for a low cost due to the end of the summer promotion, etc. They told us that we could have a 30 day free trial that overrides the contract of cancelling within 3 days and that our monthly cost would be under $100. All lies. Something didnt sound out feel right after they had a technician come in late at night to install just the panel and door alarms. We had a feeling that the 3 days was starting then. After all the sales lies they gave us and after taking us to even go that far, we did some research and found out that they were lying, even down to the technician who installed the panel. Its horrible how people will do you for the sake of money. The two sales reps were ****, ID #: ****** and ***********************, ID #: ******. ***** will come to them and their company.

Absolutely terrible. Never use this company. They pitch you the idea of a dream system that doesn't work half the time. It's only been a year and I hate vivint. The cameras glitch. They miss important events and the company will blame you. The lock malfunctions. Talking with the cameras is a nightmare. Your better off with a walkie-talkie set and a baby monitor and get a dog. I'm stuck with an expensive system that doesn't work and I just want to feel safe.

Vivint is a crooked company, they like to steal money from there customers. They can take 400 dollars for warranty items in 1 sec and then say sorry we messed up but we can't get your money back for **** days . Biggest crooks around . As soon as my contract is up I will kick them to the curb and suggest everyone else dont accept them at all

This company has THE WORST customer service. The installation was completed on my service on the September 20th. By the 23rd the system was not working. I called on the 26th, the 29th and October 6th. Each time I tried to get a technician out to fix the issue. The install team would not call me back. On the evening of October 6th I tried to cancel my account. They advised that I would need to pay over $2000 for equipment costs before I could cancel. They refused to send someone out to get the equipment.

Warning for people living in ****** area, On June 29, 2022, Vivint sales people were going door to door telling Brinks, ProtectionOne, etc., (other alarm companies) customers that they are "taking over" for their current alarm company due to a "bankruptcy and a buyout" and offering to put in new equipment at "no charge". It's a scam. They are using Ipads instead of written contracts so there is no evidence left behind with the customer. They are having customers sign a finance agreement for over $2,000 and they are taking advantage of unsuspecting, trusting customers. They are not cancelling the customer's former service or removing the old equipment. So the customers are being charged by both companies and now have to fight a scam contract with Vivint.

I received an almost $800 bill that I had to pay on top of everything else I tried contacted them a virtual rep said I would have to contact them via another source. Not only did this happen but now I’ve been sent to collections by fortiva. This has been the worse experience ever. I just want to cancel and send the equipment back. If I knew what I know now I would have never done business with Vivint.

I took over an account in late 2018. In Spring of 2021 we decided to sell our home and per our contract I sent a formal notice of cancellation to Vivint. On 4/24/2021 I paid over $1000 for early termination. 18 months later the new homeowner asked if I could contact Vivint because the panel was still alarming and active. I called them this morning and they told me I was in a contract until 2023. For over an hour they had me on hold or would be asking me if I remember paying and how much (to which I responded with the dollar amount) and then they tell me they were "just verifying" and he had the info in front of him. They fumbled over themselves the entire time because God forbid they admit they took money and didn't adhere to their end of the contract cancelation clause. It should absolutely be criminal for businesses to prey on people like this and make it convoluted or so difficult that customers would rather eat the monthly charge than cancel. Please find another company to go with for home security or buy a self-installation kit. There are plenty of services that don't lock you into contract but provide emergency services monitoring on your behalf.

I first got Vivint back in 2016 and 3 yrs later the system was updated. I recently tried to cancel my service and they want me to pay a balance. So the upfront fee they claim to have waved wasnt waved and I was paying for equipment they claim was thrown in for free. I just want out and they are overpriced for their service.

Same as most of these reviews, I moved 2 months ago and they are still drafting my account. They lie and say you'll get a credit, then just charge you again. Ive been lied to several times by them. Most recently, they hung up on me after 30 minutes. The ceo is a pansy and won't accept my LinkedIn request so I can ask for competent assistance.
