      Vivint is trash. *** had it for a year now and really wanted it to work. Its expensive, it requires restarts all the time, the mobile app is painfully slow its garbage. Do not buy.

      I have a salesperson named ****** came to my door convince me to try their system since already have another camera but he said it was a 90 days free trial I signed up for it on 01/16/2025 I received a bill on 01/31/2025 I called Vivint not only they were not a 30 trial I received a bill from a company name forgive I never heard about from the salesperson I call him he said sorry he would pay the first payment out of his pocket then I call Vivint on 01/31/2025 I found out im dealing with 2 companies I told them I want to cancel they offer me a $5 discount instead since they did not cancel it I already received another bill I paid 2 months I called yesterday to find out when will they pick up the equipment she said I can't cancel I have to pay to forgive $5000 and $3000 early cancellation Lol

      I am wishing to cancel my Vivint/******* contract due to inadequate services on our home security system. To start we have to pay a monitoring fee and equipment fee which is expensive for equipment that works half the time. I probably call for some form of assistance once a week and they have never once offered the send a technician to help with anything, I have climbed onto my roof and crawled in my attic having to fix the equipment I am still paying on. We have had numerous problems with the system such as the doorbell ringing non stop, the cameras going offline, the floodlights turning on and staying on without the ability to turn them off, the cameras freeze, were locked out of the app, etc. I am wishing to cancel services and return the equipment. When I call them I am giving the run around every single time. ******* tells me I have to contact Vivint, then Vivint tells me I have to contact *******. When I finally reach Vivint they tell me I am not allowed to cancel due to a contract we signed and I must pay off the equipment first and the reason we have to pay such an expensive monitoring fee which is $70+ a month on top of an equipment fee which is $80+ a month is due to a government mandate which I knew immediately I was dealing with a corrupt company. Then the next person we talk to offered to cancel the whole system if we paid $1500 for equipment that is not even properly functioning. All Im really seeking is the chance to get out of this disaster without paying them another dime so I can seek another security system that will actually work and not just a quick money grabbing scheme.

      Absolute trash and full of liars, first we were told we only had to pay 66 which was for fortiva and was cheaper than out adt bill of 77. Found out we had to pay both fortiva for 66 and vivent for 55. So now we are stuck with a higher bill of over 100 or we have to buy the contract out for 4000. The *** also lied and said vivent would pay our adt buyout which was 1500. I asked multiple times and thankfully I had text messages to back my claim of the adt buyout because vivent only wanted to honor 1000. Since I had the messages they did pay fully for my buyout. But if I could go back I would have stuck with adt. If I ever get the funds for a buyout I plan to cancel and just not have security at this point because I feel very discouraged now.

      "A sales ***resentative from ***** Home Security and a supervisor the *** name is P. They are deceptive this company is not transparent and once you sign the contract and your security system is installed, Wow lookout. Check your credit score they due a hard pulled a week after your security system is installed without your knowledge. They tell you is not hard pulled just a soft pulled until you signed the contract."I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for transparent and reliable home security services. Their business practices is deceptive, and customer support is no help once you are a customer.

      Run from Vivint. Cancelled Vivint by phone in October because we were moving. We wasn't in a contract it was month to month and the equipment was owned. I started receiving phone calls, text about payment for my account. Didn't understand so I called in January and was told the account had been cancelled. I have continued to receive phone calls and text about payment. Now today I received a text that service would be disconnected and possibly sent to collections. I called Vivint today and explained again that I had cancelled, we moved and was told nothing can be done because there is a balance that needs to be paid. The balance for which we haven't lived in the house.

      ***! DO NOT ever choose Vivint as your security company! One, they are expensive! Two, they auto-renew contracts for 5 years! Three, when you call to cancel, it is extreme pressure about why you are canceling, etc, etc, etc.!! Frankly, they do it so you won't cancel!!Frankly, it is none of their business why I want to cancel! I am the customer; just do what I ask!STAY AWAY from VIVINT!!!

      Cables on my system have burned and are brittle a d Vivint has said it's $99.00 for them to come out when in fact that's not true as I have paid for a protection plan that covers this fee and equipment. After smelling a burn smell in my house the service team has said it's not covered. Terrible service and still no emergency service visit scheduled.

      If you are thinking about Vivint to provide security for your home or workplace, RUN!!I initially switched from ADT (BIG MISTAKE) to Vivint because of the outstanding customer ratings ********************** received. Most of those ratings were likely given BEFORE the company was sold a few years ago. I purchased the home security system from them in October 2024 and it has not worked consistently since (today is March 18, 2025). First they do not have a representative come to your home to make a predetermination of what equipment and accessories you will need. They push you to purchase or lease the equipment and then when a tech comes to install the system, that is when you find out that their equipment does not comport with your needs. By installation time all the equipment is purchased and once installed you are stuck with trying to make it work due to all the trouble you have already gone through just to get it installed. Over time, several telephone representatives have made me go through the exact same, tired exercise every single time I call to complain that the system is not working (the exercise never works). Then a tech comes out at least 3 times before he tells you that the company needs to upgrade their software. Then when the software is updated, it still does not work and another tech tells you that it's due to another reason. I call that incompetent and stringing customers along for the money. I have far better things to do than to contribute to a company's bottom line while trying to be patient while the company tries (or doesn't try) to figure out how to make the **** thing work!!!

      Horrible, Do not do it. The service was c*** and the customer service is even worse. I cancelled my account and paid over $300 to buy out of the contract, they never cancelled my account and continue to charge me. They keep telling me the same thing over the phone that my request for cancellation is in and once it is approved i will get my money back. I am now having to get my lawyer involved.
