I had a problem getting my doorbell camera talk feature to work. After contacting my sales rep, she said a technician would be by after he was done with his current customer. No show as of yet. Their customer service is terrible as far as asking to speak to someone in corporate. I finally fixed the problem on my phone myself.

Stay away sales reps are scammers. The company contracts are set up to look like one charge but actually are two different ones. They made it seem like zero apr was for equipment but in reality it was for 5 years service contract. You have 3 days to terminate or if you want to cancel contract you have to pay off all equipment and pay 2.5 years of service fee. ************* all the way around

I purchased a home in February 2022. I had a security system installed by another popular company in May. On June 8, 2022 two representatives from Vivint came to my home and attempted to switch me to Vivint. I told them I wasn't looking to change companies, but they persisted so I relented after one of the representatives said I could try their system for 30 days. He also said they would uninstall the equipment if I didn't want it after 30 days or buy me out from the other security company if Ichose Vivint. I chose to remain with the other security company, so I called Vivint to cancel on June 20, 2022 and remove the equipment which was only 12 days after the equipment was installed. The customer service representative said it was too late to cancel because the trial period was only 3 days. Furthermore, the customer service representative would not send a technician to remove the equipment since it had been more than 3 days. I took the representative's word that I spoke to in person that I had 30 days to cancel, and I called Vivint after 12 days. I never used the Vivint security panel within those 12 days, and I disconnected it after they refused to cancel my account. I also wrote Vivint a letter of intent to cancel and mailed it to their headquarters and received an email saying that my cancelation was unsuccessful. I don't need 2 security panels in my house so Vivint should cancel my account. If they don't, my credit will be affected negatively for a product that I have never used. I still have the equipment, but it is not connected, nor is it being used. The only resolution I seek from Vivint is a cancelation on my account without a fee.

A door to door salesman signed my 73 year old mother up on 8-3-2022 but used an email he created that she told him wasn't hers. The very next day they took 2 transactions out of her account despite being told she couldn't afford it. The 2 transactions were $811.68 and $51.47 which ******** her account by $800. A phone call was made 8-5-2022 to cancel and was told it couldn't be canceled without using email on file, which isn't her email so that wasn't possible. Was told fax was an option so on 8-8-2022 my sister, her power of attorney, faxed the cancellation info from her hospital fax machine but they never called for equipment pickup like was promised. Called back on **** and was told they received fax and scheduled a pickup of equipment on ****. The technician picked up equipment and said her refund would be promised in 5 days. On **** called and was told they didn't receive fax but when told they confirmed last week they did suddenly they couldn't accept the fax because it wasn't from the home address. My mom doesn't have a CPU let alone a fax. They then allowed me to use my email to cancel despite being told on 8-5, during the 3 day rescission period, it wasn't allowed. I immediately sent the cancellation through email but they are still refusing the refund despite picking up their equipment on **** and she wasn't able to use it. My 73 year old mom is out $863.15 and $400 in overdraft fees their unauthorized transaction created. She is unable to pay her mortgage, bills, get her medications, or food. I am just wanting the refund I was told my mom would get by a young lady and ******* on 8-3, ***** and ****** on **** but denied **** by Rome and Boa despite them picking up the equipment. This company completely took advantage of my elderly mother and took money that was not authorized leaving her crippled financially and unable to fulfill her medical needs, pay bills, or buy food. She is devastated and I only hope you can help get the refund they said she would get

ADEQUATE, UNLESS YOU NEED THEM; SHADY BILLING (1) ADEQUATE UNLESS YOU NEED THEM --Had a burglary alarm while I was away from home. Got a phone message asking if everything was OK. I tried to call back, and phone tree only lets you speak to a representative to report a false alarm. --There is no way to reach a representative to report a TRUE alarm or follow up on status of alarm.--After system continued to alarm, another monitoring rep contacted me. He had no idea about the status of the initial alarm, or if authorities had been contacted, or what to do when I said it was a TRUE alarm. Police arrived more than an hour later.(2) SHADY BILLING PRACTICES Switched credit cards and missed an auto payment.(a) There's no notification of a failed payment before assessing a late charge (b) I made a one-time payment and revised autopay information before next **** was due. They were still charging me late fees 2 billing cycles later!

This company is a total scam.. I had the equipment already when I purchased my house last month so I called to activate they charged me there 90 bucks.. I did have a 3 day trial that states that if I cancel within three days and fill out the form I will get my full refund back after 10 business days.. those days came and left never got anything back.. called them up to find out why not they stated that they did I called up my bank and nothing was sent called them back again then they said they have to escalate the issue that I will get a call in 3-5 days those days came and left called again same thing told me that there was in error had to get it escalated again.. then I had to ***** again.. those days came and left called again then they put me on hold for 1 then finally was told they will call me back in 1 hrs or 3 nothing.. called again they stated that they never submitted the refund so then they said they will.. called again days later now they telling me I have to ***** 30 days then after 30 days they will refund me my money back even though they say 10 days after the 3 day trial.. and they still tried to charge my card for service that was canceled with in the 3 days of trial.. this company is a total scam I will not recommend them at all ******** wanna be lied to.. they couldn't answer my question about why they have it in writing about 3 day trial and get a refund back if you send out the cancelation forms. They just said that they will fix that error.. all lies.. and I still haven't got my money back at all I have to ***** almost another month..

The sales man told me I would save 70 to 80 dollars a month on home owners insurance and if I didn't like the system I have 30 days to decide if I wanted it or it was money back. One week later the saves was only ***** a year and I only had 2 day trial so stuck with the system and they still call me not knowing I'm a customer trying to sale me a system and they still say I have 30 trial or your only back

Do not do business with VIVINT. Predatory and deceptive sales practices, difficult to cancel, likely to continue to charge account when canceled, slow to respond to customer inquiry, one sided contract terms. ZERO stars.

STAY AWAY!!!! Vivint was fine when actually had their service but good luck trying to cancel your account with them. I'm still fighting with them but I called several days before closing my house to notify them that I was selling my house, moving, and that I no longer needed their services. After spending an hour on the phone with a representative, they told me that my account would be closed. Well, it wasn't because I received a **** in the mail and immediately called them back. This time the representative told me I had to send an email to a SMB inbox to cancel my account and there was nothing else the representative could do. I then immediately send the cancellation email and received a response in two days saying my request was being processed and it would take 30 days to close my account. I then proceed to get another **** the following month and again called customer support. I was told that I would continue to be billed until the full 30 days were up even though their representatives didn't give me the right information in order to close my account. Worse yet, I didn't even have an online account to access after my initial call because they deleted it because I didn't have an active service. Vivint is a bunch of crooks that only care about taking your money. I will never do business with them again and would never recommend them.

Eleven years ago--when I installed Vivint--I was happy with the quality of the product and the service. Since then, they have outsourced their customer service, installed an infuriating and flawed phone tree that hangs up on me as often as connecting me to the correct department, and taken to sending replacement equipment parts with step-by-step DIY instructions. I honestly do not know what it is I am paying for. On the hunt now for a replacement provider.
