    This company is ridiculous. Will not let me cancel indicates I signed a contract where it states automatic renewal if a cancellation is not received 30 days before the auto-renewal date. This is absurd because it auto-renews for 36 months.

    If I could give a negative star, I would. We had a home built and the builder put in Fluent Home Security prior to our move in date. We did end up with a one year contract and then were told that we could pay month to month as we were shopping around for other options. Fast forward and our panel that was around two years old stopped working. I was told that we could we could try and fix it over the phone or we could have a representative come out to look at it for an additinal charge. I was told that I would have to spend $700 to replace the panel. When we shopped around we decided that we didn't want to contiue our services with them. I confirmed that we were not in a contract at the time of my calls. They said that we needed to send an email which we did. Now they are responding three weeks later saying that we didn't send a hand written email and it was sent to the wrong email address. For almost five months now we have been trying to cancel a service that we are not in a contract with. At some point, I couldn't hear the representative and he said I was interuppting him and that I needed to calm down. He ended the call before I could even finish my sentence. As a professional person in customer service, they have been trained to talk to customers in this manner. It is not standard customer service to end calls when trying to talk. He kept warning me like I was a child. If you have a new build, whatever you do, do not start their services. You will regret. If you are shopping around for new sercurity systems, do not waste your time. It's truely sad how we are being treated.

    The customer service is so poor!! They do not help their customers at all!! Give security panels that will only last a few years, then manipulate the buyers into signing a new ********************* order to fix the home security issue

    We thought fluent was great until we tried to cancel. We have been told to email, call, write a hand-written letter, and then prove that we called originally, all of which we have done and they still refuse to cancel services. It's clear that the people we get on the phone to discuss this are paid to manipulate the caller. It's a complete run-around and a scam.

    My contract ends in June ****, I called today 12-4-2023 to ask what my buy out would be and was told that they would have to mail it to me and it would take up to 3 weeks to receive the buyout and that it could not be emailed to me. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that I was talking to the supervisor, when I asked to speak to the someone in higher management I was told that no one was available. I then asked how would I cancel my contract, if I needed to send a letter by mail, and I was told all I needed to do was send a email to support. I asked for the phone number to the corporate office and was told that that number was not available to be given to me.

    My mom (almost 80 years of age now) has been paying for monitored coverage for over a decade, and several years ago Fluent took over the 'contract'. They have repeatedly renewed the contract without owner consent . The equipment is obsolete and no longer functions. Fluent has refused to cancel the contract, stating to her it just rolled over for 4 years. She did not consent to this. Contacting Fluent is near impossible - I am on my 3rd attempt - each time the call is disconnected after a prolonged period on hold.

    We had a problem with a sensor on one of our doors. They would not replace the sensor unless we paid $50. Finally, I arranged for them to just disconnect that sensor altogether. We have been with them for a number of years and the actual cost of that sensor is nowhere near $50. I feel like we are being nickled and dimed after being a loyal customer for a long time. We are now shopping for a new alarm company.

    I canceled my service several months ago due to poor service. They may me paid an additional month when I did not use their service even though I was not under contract. I thought I had finally succeeded in getting my account closed until they started charging me again 2 months later. Good luck trying to get them on the phone to discuss. Bad company and poor customer service. I would recommend you stay away.
