I was traveling from ** with my family last week in *************. Something was very wrong with my truck. It was previously leaking some oil. The Check engine light came on along with some front end vibrations. Thinking the light may be another oil related issue, on Friday 2/21 I brought it to the ************ (not 100% sure which I can find the receipt if needed either location 306 or 316) for an oil change.While under the truck, ***** (your wonderful employee) took off the skid plate and noticed that my CV boot was failing. Not only did she notify me of the potentially catastrophic failure that I may encounter on my 1100 mile drive back to **, she cleaned the area, she attempted to re-grease the CV boot, took pictures for me, and also gave me some recommendations for local mechanics that can be trusted. I dont want to overstate what occurred, but without her help, if that CV boot/axle failed while driving 85mph+ on I95, things could have gone very very badly for myself, my wife, and my two kids. Luckily, I was able to get into one of the shops she suggested and fixed the issue prior to leaving for ********. According to the mechanic, she may have saved our lives, she certainly saved us from getting stranded for an extended period of time in some random town on 95 as failure was imminent. Part of the reason for writing this letter is I am in upper management at an Aerospace Engineering firm here on ***********. One of my responsibilities here is identifying potential leads, supervisors, and managers within our employee pool. If she worked here, ***** would be on a fast-track for a leadership position. In my 30minute interactions with *****, she has everything you should be looking for in regards to a leadership position. Not only did she do a great job, go above and beyond her duties, but the positive light I now see Take 5 in, and the care she has for her customers is unmatched.Take 5 Oil Change

This is what happened to my mother. She was 84 years old and had trouble walking, even with a cane. She was on fixed income, and took her 10-year-old car to Take 5 #*** (*******) for an inspection on 08/13/2024. She got there right when they opened, and they had her wait about 30 minutes. They took the car for inspection and had it idling for OVER AN HOUR. The *** told her the car passed inspection with no issues, but he was having issues working with the computer (presumably to transmit the data to the State of Texas) and ultimately told my mother that he needed his managers help and he wasnt there yet so she should come back later that day. Again, hes asking an 84-year-old with walking issues after ridiculous wait to come back after having her older car run for over an hour. He gave her the inspection paperwork, but it was marked as failed because it still needed to be successfully submitted/uploaded to the computer. My mother had paid the $25.50 for this non-completed service. My mother then went to her usual place, ********, which is the dealership where the car was bought in 2014. They took care of her as they usually do but in the end she wound up paying for an inspection twice because Take 5 didnt complete the job. All Im asking is for the $25.50 to be reversed on the Amex card. I have called multiple times, emailed the location and corporate office in ********, **. I have yet to hear back. My mother has since passed away. Take 5 doesn't deserve anyone's patronage. Would leave 0 stars if I could.Take 5 Oil Change

Got oil change at Take 5 on my *** before I left town for a few months. Son called and said car was leaking small amount of oil on garage floor placed mat under car. Returned to town and took car back to Take 5. There was one franchise closer to me so I went to see if they could check for a small leak. They reported that filter looked OK but thought the o ring might be leaking around drain plug- however they couldn't fix because they didn't do the oil change. So drove to Take 5 where oil was changed and told them the situation. They looked at it - had me *** the engine - said there wasn't a problem - just "excess oil"- whatever that is . Drove home and parked over mat. Next morning more oil drops on mat. Sent complaint to Take 5 customer relations. They put me in touch with the company that handles claims. Spoke with them and communicated that all I wanted was my leak to be fixed or a refund on the oil change. But I'd already waited about 2 more weeks to have response from Take 5 so I took car to *** to get my oil changed. They changed oil and filter for under $70 and when I returned car home and left on mat - surprise,surprise,no oil drops. Sent documentation and comments to Take 5 claims company. - I was told they would deny my claim because I hadn't conclusively proved Take 5 had caused leak. Not sure which is worse at Take 5 - their inability to properly change oil or their inabilty to provide any reasonable response to a customer complaint. Good , fast,cheap usually you can get 2 of those but with Take 5 you're lucky if you get one because they ain't good , they ain't cheap but if you're lucky it might be over quicky.Review fromRobert L

This was a great experience at Take 5 in *********, **. Both **** and **** were able to get me in and out quickly, and they were professional, friendly, and efficient. Before completing any work, they explained what they were doing and showed me what they were taking out and what they were putting in. I definitely will return for future service.Take 5 Oil Change

Take 5 was so amazing to me when I came in. They even told me my oil wasn't really bad enough for an oil change and said it was my choice. I opted to go ahead and get the oil change. I had my dog with me and they were all so friendly to my pup and to me. They offered me water and opened a new bay to help things go faster. The guys were funny and we're having a great time while they worked. Truly a great experience that I didn't expect. Oh and they also fixed my splash guard underneath at no charge!! It was missing a s**** I will always take my vehicles here!Take 5 Oil Change

I would try another oil change company that takes care of their customers. Went in for an oil ********************** and they tightened my pan nut to tight, no worries. Went to go get a new oil change and it was so tight the treads got stripped, again no worries. After providing documentation they not only denied my claim but also told me it was the other companies fault even though the customer service representative I spoke with completely understood and was upfront about how the claim would go. Will never go to take 5 again after this. Never once asked for anything unreasonable just wanted my pan fixed and the oil that Im paying out of pocket for to be reimbursed.Review fromSean D

I wanted to take moment from my very busy schedule to give Kudos to your team at Take 5 #***. My wife went into the location about a month ago and had a great experience. She raved about their kindness, professionalism, and knowledge. Based on that information I took my work truck there to get an oil change on Saturday February 1st. They were quite busy when we stopped. DJ and Daimian handled the stress of it perfectly! They communicated very well the wait time and worked efficiently and quickly to get us all through. When it was my turn they still took the time to make sure I got the correct products for my vehicle. I have run sales teams most of my life and they executed their upsell in the exact manner that I would train them if it was my team. Kudos to the team and big kudos to the franchisor or Regional that is in charge of that location. Thank you! I will be telling all my peers that Take 5 is the place to go for our oil change needs. ****Take 5 Oil Change
