    I can't believe I wasted money for nearly a year on car Shield their map for auto repair is seriously outdated and have the places on the map don't even accept car Shield and would never do business with them again because of past issues and the other places on the map are not even auto repair places they have Tire replacement places as well as ******** that doesn't even do car repair and so many more other places that are not even Auto Repair so what is the point of having them on the map if they don't work on auto repair or accept car Shield makes no sense whatsoever I went to four places that they representative recommended me try out none of them except car Shield I tried three more places and they all said they would never do business with car Shield because they never want to pay the repair places so what's the point of having car Shield if no one likes to do business with them now I'm in the process of trying to get a partial refund but who knows they may not even want to pay anything back to the consumer unless you plan to go to court but all in all it was a waste of time and money

    I agree with the previous reports of Dealers not accepting the plan due to lengthy paments, or non payment. I called Car shield as requested before I took my car to the shop. I mentioned the dealer and got permissions and instructions for processing when I dropped off the car. I should say I had the diamond plan and had paid for the service for over 14 months. The service I got costs $325. The dealer explained they do not accept car Shield for the reasons I noted above. I had to get an appointment to have my car looked at and a reschedule could take 1 week to 1 month. I provided a work around, I would pay for the service and Car Shield would reimburse me. Neither Car Shield nor the dealer would agree to this resolution. Car Shield then provided me with a list of Dealers I could take the car too. Most of them were not in the best parts of town, not did they have a dealer for my manufacturer. They would not provide a refund for my service. I cancelled the service. I could not see paying another ***** for a service I did not agree to. I am so disappointed in the plan and process. ***********************

    I talked to Car Shield before I took my car to my repair shop, explained where I was taking it and they advised I could take it to the dealer of my choice. They provided a number to give the dealer to call once they had look at my car. I scheduled this repair as I was planning to travel. I did not know the dealer did not accept Car Shield until after I was at the shop. I did not have time to schedule another appointment and wait a week for service. I was going out of town the next few days. I had to have the work done. I contacted Car Shield, and they provided a list of shops I could take the car to. None of them were **** repair shops. I did not have the opportunity at this time to work with another repair shop, and they could not provide and alternative solution as I had been paying for this service for 14 months. I spent $2,131 for a $325 job. I could have banked the money and payed for any service I needed. I am taking that avenue now.

    Engine went out in my car, flash forward a month and a half they finally agreed to pay. Not all of my ****. Im stuck with 780 I have to pay because they didnt want to come out of pocket anymore after the mechanic already dropped it **** for them. Now I find out I have a week to pay the remaining 700 or the payment from the warranty company will expire. Lets not forget the 130 dollar rental **** I have to pay as well for a 3 day car rental. They switch you to the 40 dollar a day amount and suddenly no longer have to cover the 100 dollar a day limit as the contract suggests. My mechanics fed up said they will no longer accept car shield or its affiliates after this. Save yourself. Dont get carshield. Everytime myself or the mechanic calls we always get a different response. Now I have to scramble and take things I have to **** and hope its enough.now Im ******, my mechanics ******, and I leave this experience feeling cheated. Absolutely rediculous

    Where do I being Carshield is awful I got my coverage back in April this year and had been paying on time very month so when my husband check engine light came on keep in mind he was still driving ok so I called carshield to see what my options were because we were pass the 20 days **** and not quite at the 500 hundred miles yet so when I called them to explain this to time the lady that I spoke with she told me that we were out of the 20 days waiting and only need ****************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** the shop since we THOUGHT we were good with them , got the tow truck came and picked the truck up car shield did pay for the towing so again fast forward to today Aug 12th The dealership call me on this morning to inform me that we are not covered because we are not out of the WAITING PERIOD FOR THE MILES!!! So now we have to pay for everything ourselves after be told that they would. Even after the many dealerships I called and was told that CARSHIELD IS BAD TO WORK WITH I still gave them the benefit of the doubt Guys please if you and get signs Listen *** NOT USE CAR SHEILD NO MATTER HOW GOOD IT SOUNDS

    Car shield sold me on the auto plan. Once I did have a problem I took my truck to an accredited car shield location and was denied. Spent several hours (5) on the phone as well as having the car shop who called and assured that the problems were part of my drivetrain (they called the ***** dealership and my customer ********************** person worked for **** dealership). Completely denied and was literally told, yes, we are just taking your money.Worst choice ever and a complete scam.

    Terrible company. Had my car at a ***** dealership for a whole week just to deny a claim on my vehicle. Instead of asking for all the information at once they ask for one thing then say the adjuster will be in touch within ***** hours. I have to pay $187 for my car being in the shop for that week just for them to tell me what is wrong which I already knew. Could not talk to the adjuster at all. I had it for two months if I would of known this company was this bad I wouldn't of never of got it.

    Well may experience was a litter different that everyone else. I got Car Shield about three years ago but didn't use it until last year, I went to get gas and when I finished I noticed all the gas was on the ground, I call my son and we had it toll to a Mechanic. The next day I call and he told me what was wrong and I need a fuel pump,when I told them I had Car Shield they told me they didn't think they would get paid, so I call Car Shield and they talked to them and they sent them the part and got paid with no problem. In two day my car Car broke down with the same problem,, I Call the mechanic back and told them I was having the same problem, they told me they fixed my car and if I brought it by I would have to pay them, I call Car Shield and they call them back, Car Shield sent someone to check on the part they sent and found out they never changed out the old part, so they made sure my car was fixed and my car is still running OK. I call them just last week and throw I need a alternator they told me to call back and let them know where I wanted it sent but it was just that I need a battery, so I haven't had a problem yet and hope I will never have the bad experience that you all have had.

    I decided to go with the top of the line coverage with Car Shield. My engine light came on, I called the dealer and they could not get me in for almost two weeks. I then called Car Shield and the representative said I could have my car towed to the dealer but it wasn't required. I kept my car home. The engine light went off and days later came back on. I drove it a few times when the light was off, then drove it to the dealer (light was back on).I too was advised from the dealer that Car Shield was a very hard company to work with. My car sat at the dealer for almost two weeks before Car Shield addressed it. It turns out I needed a new engine.Of course Car Shield only paid 1/4 the cost and will only pay 4 hours of a car rental. These are some of the reasons why they would not pay anymore towards the engine.1. 50 miles were put on the car from the first time the engine light came on and the damage to the engine happened when the light came on the 2nd time.2. I should have had the car towed immediately when the light initially came on. (It didn't matter what their representative told me).3. Car Shield breaks down every dollar. Ex. The dealer charges for the screws that came with the new engine. Car Shield says the screws from the old engine can be used and that would cut some of the cost of the new engine. PLEASE STAY AWAY AND LOOK ELSEWHERE!!!

    CarSheild is very difficult to work with after you file a claim. I would absolutely not recommend CarSheild. The warranty I was sold has contradictory language and doesn't cover all lubricated engine parts as indicated by the salesperson and the language of the contract. As a result, I have to file a consumer complaint with the ******** ************************* and hire an attorney to file a lawsuit for breach.

    CarSheild reviewed the engine failer claim at a higher level and sent an adjuster to the repair facility to determine the engine cause of failure. ********* determined that a piston had failed. CarSheild immediately approved the repair. **************** the claims resolution advocate was very professional and extremely knowledgeable. **************** and ******************** / CarSheild: Thank you so very much for resolving this issue.
