    I purchased Car shield in February 2020, I purchased the platinum plan so I thought it would cover everything. In November of 2021 I noticed a loud noise when starting and could smell exhaust. I called Car Shield and was given a number of places that accept the coverage. I found that the cost was a little over 2,000$ and was told by ***** that my claim was denied. This summer I started having issues with my car not starting sometime so my son took it to **** **** to see if it was my battery. Well he was told that it wasnt the battery but something electrical. On Tuesday August 16th we dropped it at another Carshield approved shop but was called to say it wasnt covered. I feel like the commercials for Carshield are misleading.

    Nothing but a total ripoff of a company. I paid $150 a month for 4 months before having an issue with the engine on my suv. I had to have it towed to a dealership for diagnosis and repairs, and of course CarShield refused to authorize the repairs. This company definitely needs to be investigated by the ** for duping people with their commercials and refusing to provide the coverages as promised.

    Complete rip off. I am retired and do not have a job, on fixed income. Decided to get insurance as car protection. 2010 ******** ****** miles on it. Since pandemic, I only drive car for grocery shopping. Sales Associate knew I only used car for groceries, said I qualified for Platinum policy effective in 20 days. Called to day to see if it covered oil changes and when activation date was. Same guy told me I needed to have put 500 miles on the car in 20 days or 250 miles in 40 days. I told him that is impossible since I only drive to grocery store. What deception! He never mentioned that in his sales pitch. I cancelled my policy. Buyer Beware, the sales staff is deceptive. I asked him if I could speak to Mgr, told there is NO manager. Asked to speak to another assoc and he told me there is NO other assoc. Absolute lies, unprofessional, deceptive. Please consider whether this company has you in mind.. they do not.

    Transmission went out in my 08 Hummer H3. They approved my repair however theyre going to replace it with a used transmission. Not even rebuilt and it will only have a 1 year ****** mile warranty. They Will Not replace it with a transmission from GM that will be rebuilt and have a 3 year ******* mile warranty. To make matters worse when the transmission arrived at the dealership it was for the the wrong year. CarShield is saying the adjuster has 24 -48 hrs to review where they sent out the wrong part then make a decision on what happens next. I have to wait for them and if they go with another used one that will take another 6 days for the dealership to receive it , time for them to install it, Im out of pocket more money for a rental. Carshield is absolutely the worse warranty company and I would not recommend them . I am very dissatisfied with their service.****************

    Contract #-********** I submitted it..June 3rd..I submitted it..June 6th I called back trying to see if it was updated and added and was told that it had been received but the people that work on the weekend really dont do any work..They are just there basically as place holders or something like that..Not my words..But the words of whoever I spoke to..I was told that Claims had ***** hours to review it..called back on June 8th..was told something similar and asked to speak to a Supervisor or Manager..got transferred to Escalation and spoke with someone by the name of *****..he told me that the email with my service records still hadnt been touched but he could confirm it was received..He told me he was gon attach it to my case and task the adjuster and he reiterated that the adjuster would be given ***** hours to review it and get back in touch with me..Cool! I called back either June 10th or June 13th..The person reading over my case told me that they saw the notes from *****, the manager, but NOTHING had been done on his end other than entering notes on what he told me he was going to do..this person placed me on hold..Again, time and time again, Ive called and been told that they are going to escalate my claim..they are going to task their team leadI will be getting a call within ***** hours..If I havent heard anything by then please call back..Ive called back each and every time..Sometimes 48 hours later..other times 72 hours later..Nothing! then Finally I was told that I could try contacting the Repair shop and letting them know that they could call in, since the adjuster wasnt returning anyone calls, and speak to the ********************* and they could authorize them to go ahead and repair my truck..I did that..I was told that the claim was ready to move forward since everything had OFFICIALLY FINALLY been updated and there was good news!

    Car Shield is nothing but a scam. We had the best coverage plan they offered and when it came time to have my truck repaired they denied my claim so now I have to fork over $3700 in repairs so why did I pay car shield all the months that I did just for nothing! I would NEVER recommend car shield to anybody and truthfully I think a company like them should be shut down because all they are doing is taking peoples money and not living up to their word. If I could give them negative stars I would. STAY AWAY FEOM CAR SHIELD!!!!!

    Thought I made a good decision when I signed up for coverage. Paid my monthly premium. My dealership personnel warned me that Car Shield didnt cover premium cars very well.When I needed a repair on my back up camera, it was denied. I had the highest level of coverage. The staff told me it was not a covered item. Cost $750. So why am I paying $160 a month? I informed them it was a deal breaker. They didnt care. Cancelled.
