Not worth it. Have a *** X5 2018 and a high voltage expansion/shutoff value went out. I have the Diamond coverage and it states in bold print, parts not covered are in section B. My part wasn't listed in section B. Repair shop called carshield and they said part wasn't covered. I called them and they said they don't cover batteries or cables as stated in section B. I said this isn't a battery or a cable. They then came back and said, well if you look at section D subsection t, that states older or high mile vehicles, valves aren't covered so **** out of my pocket on top of my payment to carshield. Remind you, it is a 2018 so not old. It has ****** miles on it so not high miles in fact under average for that year. They told the dealership where i had the vehicle to be repair, i could go thru arbitration and see if i could get anything done. So not only pay for it but spend more time dealing with it. Not worth the money to be member of carhield.CarShield

Of course they did. Wouldn't have thought any different as they work for you and are good at ripping customers off. Would like to know what you consider high mileage. Oh I did figure that out ANYTHING OVER MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY!!!!!!!!!!Review fromTaylor M.

My clutch went out in my car & I had to pay $2700 out of pocket & paid over $2000 in a rental car! Car shield is a rip off! They claimed the clutch wasn't part of my MANUAL transmission!CarShield

I have a 2009 ******** SL 550 hard-top convertible, so when my initial warranty plan expired, and after seeing all these actors on TV glorifying Car Shield, I decided to go with them, and I bought the most expensive plan that showed a laundry list of items this DIAMOND COVERAGE PLAN covers. The plan states that it is like having a "NEW CAR COVERAGE." I also got my daughter the same coverage for her 2016 *** 328. Every time her car was in the shop they would not repair anything, NOTHING, so I tried to cancel her plan after 6 months, and it was next to impossible.Finally, I called **************** and they refunded me the money I paid for her policy. With the ********, the past 3 years Car Shield has only paid for a few "small" items. They would not cover *****% of my ******** claims, it was always lipped service of why it's not covered, they made up stories, after stories, and not cover most of the claims. I have paid out of my own pockets close to $4,800.00 for repairs. 6 months ago I tried canceling my plan many times, it was exhausting to deal with Car Shield customer **********************, and every time they tell me, this time it will be canceled. 6 months later here I am. So today I got a phone call from renewal, asking if I would renew my plan, explaining that they fired the previous company that was managing the claims. I smell ** on that! So I guess it's still not canceled, so no refund checks in the mail. This company is a SCAM!CarShield

First time I use their service I had an issue with my front end they denied me stating that it was caused by a seal and seals are not covered end result I had a $2,700 repair **** cancel car shield immediatelyCarShield

Car shield customer ********************** was very helpful. Most shops in the small town that I live in did not accept warranty coverage. Car shield found a shop 25 miles away. Towed vehicle, got it fixed and I'm back on the road.Review fromJohn R

I have a 2007 Mercury that had ****** miles when bought in April of 2021. In excellent condition, 1 owner, clean Carfax, I purchased a Car Shield premium pkg. at $137 per month the same week. Never used the service, however, when I asked at my local **** Dealership yesterday if they honored CarShield (was gonna get brake rotors replaced) they said NO! Reason being, several claims being denied with no return call or followup. Would have been 1st time using the service. I came home and shut down the service. I had a heck of a time being passed to 2 different reps, who tried relentlessly to not let me drop them. Advice, leave them alone! Ps, I received several emails asking why . Lastly, an offer to reduce coverage costs by $30. Supposedly you choose where your vehicle is serviced. The mentioned dealership is on CarShield's listing.and they won't honor them.CarShield

Any repair facility can chose who they will and will not work with. This is clearly outside the control of CarShield. As a consumer with CarShield, this repair facility has refused to work with you and your coverage. We are sorry to lose you as a CarShield customer.Review fromChristopher B

Their business plan is to mislead you into thinking you're covered if something happens to your car. i had the "diamond" coverage for 3+ years on my car for $114 a month, they led me to believe i had bumper to bumper coverage. When i finally filed a claim they refused to pay $600+ of it and then refused to explain why they denied the claim. They administrator lady talked down to me and i had a horrible experience. I despise this company and because disappointed in the celebrities who endorse them. Please just put the monthly payment for this in a savings account. I can't believe they have any positive reviews at all.CarShield

This is absolutely not true I have names of representatives that have told me to contact the adjuster ******* and **** I have tried for over three weeks I have not even filed a claim in April these adjusters will not respond to my phone calls I have left them many messages what they are telling the shop is subjective opinion based on no facts of course they dont want to talk to me I have left them three messages per day for the last two weeks I am very frustrated along with the repair shop dealing with this company of course they are saying something that is not true to you I have never complained about any company to the Better Business Bureau before. All I want is someone to work with me and answer my phone calls when I leave messagesScott W.

I am on a fixed income so called carshield to help with future repairs if needed. My turbo went in my car so when I called to put my claim in I was informed that if I needed I needed a rental car that would be covered as well. They denied my claim and wouldnt even cover the rental or the diagnostic cost when I asked why they denied my claim they said they only cover lubricated parts of the turbo ??????? The part is being replaced they dont cover replacement parts either this company is such a rip off. I wouldnt recommend them to anyoneCarShield
