    I just got off the phone with Janet at Car Shield and started a claim. This is the 2nd claim I have had with them. I have not had any issues with them, their staff, or their coverage. I am on a fixed income, so this gives me great peace of mind.

    I am highly disappointed with the handling of my claim and would rate my experience zero stars if possible. Despite proactively maintaining my vehicle and providing service records from two mechanics, my claim was denied based on inconsistent and shifting justifications. The denial was first blamed on my routine transmission flush, a preventative service, not a sign of failure. Then, my claim was denied based on "transmission issues"—verbiage that came solely from me, not a mechanic. As a non-mechanic, I described symptoms to the best of my ability. However, the mechanics only recommended replacing the catalytic converter and spark plugs, which I did at another shop. Using my own words against me, despite no mechanical evidence of transmission failure, is unfair and misleading. Finally, the Northside Ford documents I voluntarily submitted were used to justify denial, despite their only recommendations for my completed repairs. If following manufacturer-recommended maintenance and addressing suggested repairs voids coverage, this policy serves no real purpose for responsible vehicle owners. I request an immediate review of my case and a clear, final justification based on policy terms—not shifting excuses. If this issue is not resolved fairly, I will escalate my complaint to the BBB, my state's Insurance Commissioner, and consumer protection agencies. Please respond promptly with a resolution.

    I've had CarShield coverage on my vehicle since 2019. Over that time my mechanic has attempted to make a claim four different times. Each time CarShield finds a reason not to cover the service. CarShield is a scam and should not be taken seriously. I never missed a payment, but the coverage was a fantasy.

    My car has been in the shop for almost two weeks now, and it feels like they’re dragging their feet. It seems like they’re trying to find every reason not to fix the vehicle, even though the contract clearly states which components are covered. They’re not escalating the issue quickly enough, and every time I call, I’m told I should have an answer by the end of the business day, but that answer never comes. The lack of communication and follow-through is frustrating, and at this point, I’m starting to feel like they’re stalling on purpose.
