  Carshield is absolute garbage. The repair shop said my son's truck needs a new transmission due to metal shavings (way more than normal) in the pan. Carshield did not trust the repair shop and sent out an 'investigator'. When the truck didn't present the symptoms it had just a few days earlier, Carshield closed the claim and said nothing is wrong with the truck.We are so fed up with Carshield saying things like a nut or bolt are not covered when it is part of the whole system, it is ridiculous. A nut and bolt is collateral damage??? Don't buy their warranty. Look up top 5 warranty companies on the internet and Carshield isn't even in the top 10. They will do anything and everything not to pay out your claim. We followed every one of their requests (including sending a maintenance report). Funny how they couldn't use that as an excuse because we had the ********** soon as my new warranty kicks in, I will be kicking carshield to the cub. Shame on your company for scamming people out of thousands of dollars with the premium and then refusing to cover an obvious issue. SHAME ON YOU

  Car Shield is the best investment I've ever made. It keeps my car covered for repairs. CarShield is very professional and customer friendly. All questions are answered and if something is not covered it's not a surprise because it is listed in the handbook. I would highly recommend CarShield to anyone that has a car that the original warranty has expired. I've used it more than once and my coverage still stands.????

  I think they are a reliable so far. This is my 2nd go round with them. I haven't had to use their service as of yet. But it's nice to know all I have to do is make a call. If something goes wrong glad I don't need to worry.

  The repair shop determined I needed a new starter. I have had Car Shield since 12/2020. I had never submitted a claim before. I checked with Car shield today and was advised starters were covered. The repair shop started a claim. Within 3 hours it was approved saving me quite a bit of money.

  So I bought the Powertrain Silver package last March (2024) and currently making payments on the vehicle as well, and in October of 2024 my vehicle needed major repairs to the engine. I first went to the dealership and have them do a diagnosis on the vehicle, which is on a 07 ***** Cx7. The dealerships service department finalized their diagnosis that the vehicle needed another engine, so they called the warranty company, Carshield, to get it fixed and filed a claim. They wouldn't fix the issue bc the dealership had stated they can possibly source the engine, later phone call from adjuster had said the claim was approved for them to get the engine, but later closed it bc, Carshield claimed they didn't hear back from the dealership within a time frame, which they had contacted them to go ahead but since days had past the engine was no longer available. I have also taken it to 2 other repair shops to see if they can get an engine, one place, ********************* said they can get one, a refurbished one, for just a bit over $10,000 but when they submitted it to Carshield, they said they have to source the engine, which according to their website, you can take it to any licensed auto repair facility, file a claim and Carshield would, after reviewing the itemized repair, pay for the repair, which Carshield said they would have to source the engine, which according to their website and commercials you can take your car to any repair facility of your choosing, false. I, then took it a repair shop that Carshield works with which was, Sedro-******* Automotive, after having it there for a month or close to if not longer, they to were having claim issues as well. I took it back to the dealership where it's been since October/November of 2024 to try to get answers from Carshield and they said it's up to the powertrain department now to ,my guess source the motor, it's been at a standstill since then.. not only have I been lied to but I feel they're dragging their feet.
