I am writing to bring to your attention a matter of concern regarding our Pharmacology class. As students invested in our education and the reputation of our institution, we feel compelled to address a recurring issue that has persisted despite previous attempts at resolution. Recently, a group of students, including myself, sought a private meeting with the **** to discuss our experiences and concerns regarding the teaching methodology employed by our current Pharmacology professor. Regrettably, our efforts to have a constructive dialogue were hindered when the professor in question unexpectedly joined the meeting. Despite our intention for a private discussion with the ****, the professor's ******** inadvertently shifted the dynamic, leading to a situation where our grievances were overshadowed by her own perspectives. It is disheartening to note that this encounter mirrored previous instances where the collective voice of students expressing legitimate concerns about the professor's teaching style and conduct has been overlooked or disregarded. We firmly believe that such recurrent issues warrant serious attention and proactive measures to ensure the quality of education and the well-being of students within our academic community. In light of these circumstances, we respectfully request the opportunity to engage in a discussion with a member of the Board or an appropriate authority above the **** level. We believe that seeking guidance and intervention from higher leadership will provide a platform for transparent communication, constructive feedback, and, ultimately, meaningful resolutions that uphold the standards of excellence and accountability expected from our institution. We remain committed to the principles of academic integrity, professionalism, and collaborative problem-solving. Our goal is not only to address immediate concerns but also to contribute to the continuous improvement and enhancement of the educational experience for current and future students.

In summer of 2023 I spoke with the director of the nursing program about attending Rasmussen university to finish the 5 credits that needed to complete an LPN degree. After taking an enterance exam, he told me that was possible and I could join the program and finish where I left off at my previuos school. As long as I finished their pre-requisite classes. During the Summer and Fall of 2023 I was taking the prerequisite classes in order to enroll into a LPN nursing program at Rasmussen university. However in December after they received payment from my *****, including government loans, they informed me that they do not have an LPN program and that I would have to complete the 2 year RN program. And that is actually the prerequisite classes that they had me taking. Due to this being a complete change in plans from what was previously discussed with the school I dropped out of the program in hopes to find an LPN program somewhere else as I already have substantial progress in LPN education from schooling at a different school. Despite this, Rasmussen has taken $8098 as a total from my ***** despite the amount of education I received from them being nowhere near that total. Additionally, when I looked onto the ***** website they mention me owing them roughly $9000. The discrepancy between these numbers and the misinformation provided to me about the value of their credit hours being around $200 per credit leads me to believe they are participating in fraudulent activity. When I called them to ask about these issues I was referred to an out-of-state financial department that told us to wait and see if anything updated. I made a second call to them where they sent me an email with a ledger detailing the price of all the classes and the program which they are actively charging me for despite never taking apart in the program.

Rasmussen is purposely failing students so that they are forced to repeat classes thus paying the university more money. I spent ****** dollars to have to transfer to another school after failing one class 3 times. I have passed this same class with a high grade on my first attempt at the school I transferred to. The classes I took at rasmussen cannot transfer to any other schools, the money I spent and the loans I took out was for nothing. The instructors do not even know what will be on the exams to properly teach us, we were being taught information that was not on the exams whatsoever.

I was a student receiving SSI at Rasmussen University, *********, online and received my AS in ************************** I was a FAFSA and Pell ***** recipient and would get checks for EXCESS FUNDS every term. I am now being sent to collections for in excess of $16,000 and the ledger from the collection company shows many excess funds in parenthesis for over $2000 which indicates that they did not keep those excess funds and probably gave them to me in my excess fund check. If I had an outstanding bill why was this not applied to my account? Also, I questioned my counselor many times about the purpose of me repeating classes or taking classes that contained an almost identical syllabus even though I was on the deans list/honor roll and they gave me no acceptable answer. I felt like I was being strung along and they were using ways to get my money. Perhaps I was right!

On Oct 19 2023, I was at my assigned clinical location and I was having had time focusing because I was dealing with excruciating pain so I took a 30min to relax myself, my fault was not informing my instructor. Upon arriving my instructor asked me to leave and speak to the **** regarding my actions. I immediately emailed the **** but I never got a response until Oct 25th when I was asked to see the ****. The instructor was present, **** and my advisor and they asked that I explain myself which I did but unfortunately for me they have already decided my faith. They gave me a paper stating that I failed clinical and I'm not allowed to proceed with the semester, I immediately emailed the director and she informed me that they would get back to me in 24hrs. I was called the following morning exactly at 11:32am by the campus **** but I was not available. She then proceed to email me around 11:51am stating that there is a meeting to clarify the options given by 12:30pm of the same day which I missed too as I was not available on my phone. A decision was made upon my absence and it was still the same option that was given. Staying in class with no passing grade or dropping the class with an F. I called my advisor for clarification about the tuition and she informed me that I'm still obligated to pay regardless of my decision. I do not understand how this is even okay, you're forcing me to drop my classes or fail it if I choose to stay all because I made a mistake if not informing my instructor about taking a break. I need my voice to be heard as I'm being treated unjustly. Why do I have to pay for something that is not beneficiary to me, I deserve a better disciplinary action as this Is Too extreme for the crime. Rasmussen university. .

I am currently a nursing student at Rasmussen University, I am in my fourth semester. I suppose to get my flu shot done, and my CPR renew based on their policies, but we were supposed to upload everything on 10/01/2023 but we had an extension until 10/04. We had two weeks break, so I wasn't here due to family emergency. But before 10/01 I reached out to ************************** to renew my CPR online but the fact that it will be expired in December 2023, I couldn't renew it, so I upload my card again then it got rejected and I receive an email from *************************** stated that I have until 10/4 to upload my flu shot and my CPR card. Then I make sure I upload everything on time on 10/4 but they removed me from one of my classes MDC3 and clinical's saying that I wasn't compliant with them. I reached out to every faculty member to help me with my situation to put me back in my class because I was compliant on time. And now they push my graduation date for June ****, and I was supposed to graduate 03/****. I really want to be back in my class to start clinicals as well so I could finish on time. And I think that's not fair to make me stay behind just because of my CPR card which is still valid until 12/23 and make me get a new one. Even I explained them my situation, they accept some students back in the class, but not me. They picked and chose who to put back in the class.
