I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.I am so grateful to report that Rasmussen has heard our voices, and turned the testing back over to faculty. Rasmussen will continue to use Wolters Kluwer learning platform, but will wait for the kinks to worked out for testing process. A big WIN for everyone!!!
nts failing but they are being taught incorrect information. This incorrect ***************** could lead to future detrimental outcomes for the patients we are trusted to treat SAFELY.

I am filing a formal complaint against Rasmussen University for misrepresentation, failure to accommodate a documented disability, and financial harm caused by negligent advising and discriminatory practices.I enrolled in the Network Support Certificate program in October 2023 after being told my tuition would be fully covered by grants. I explicitly asked to be enrolled full-time to stay eligible. Instead, I was enrolled one credit short and never informed. This error reduced my aid and resulted in a $4,829 balance I was not prepared ****** November 2023, I submitted documentation for a mental health-related disability and received approved accommodations. However, they were applied inconsistently or ignored. During a documented crisis in Spring 2024, I failed courses due to lack of support. Though instructors granted extensions, I was later withdrawn for non-attendance based on work not submitted despite being in active communication.I submitted a formal policy exception request with medical documentation, which was denied on Sept 27, 2024, without meaningful review. Shortly after, my account was referred to collections. I now face potential credit damage due to the schools failure to accommodate and communicate effectively.Ive filed a Borrower Defense claim with the ***** of *** a **** complaint, and an OCR complaint for ADA *********** Rasmussens responses have been impersonal and ********** seeking full discharge of the $4,829 balance, correction of credit reporting, and accountability for Rasmussens failure to meet basic legal and ethical responsibilities.***** ****** Student ID: ********Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
ted the school because there should be no reason for me to be getting charged, and then for me to not even be attending or active in that course nothing should be even increasing. The charges are linked to all courses, but I can see the individual course charges and payments, which I already had issues about my financial aid refund not adding up. I previously discussed my financial aid refund with an advisor before and after it was received but it never added up even as they were taking money from me for the balance of the previous course I didnt take but I let that go.This balance is blocking my ability to confirm my schedule, and I do not believe I should be paying for charges related to courses I never took or attended nor should my financial aid or credit be wasted/messed up over this . I just want the balance corrected so that I am allowed to move forward with my current courses without further financial barriers.
This did not solve my issue, the charge is still up for a course I did not take, attend nor did I apply for financial aid for. I have multiple emails from advisors and the school itself about me not attending at all along with no financial aid application for that course or getting any responses from me during the whole time until I decided to enroll in September ( which im in now ). But yet a charge still popped up on the account There shouldnt be any charges for that course and that is not getting paid by me I dont even pay out of pocket for my current course and do school full time. If my financial aid is going to be wasted for the current course since I cant confirm my schedule for the next class im supposed to have, I should receive some type of contact from this college letting me know this and to remove me. I sent an email to an advisor about not even being able to confirm it and got no response. Nor do I still have a valid response on $600 still being in my account that wasnt given from my student refund for the current course I take and then a $1800 charge for that previous course when it never even said that much to begin with.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
I have already attempted an investigation through contact with Title IX, and the committee whom decided my circumstances were not extenuating also decided that the deans telling me contacting Title IX made me look bad and that I wont get whatever I want because I was pregnant, and allowing another student I was in direct contact with to appeal and earn enough points to allow her to pass the same course I was in; then not even allowing me to meet in-person, or have a review of my exam (which the other student was definitely allowed, I have text message proof), or allow me an appeal of an invalid exam question that wouldve given me the same advantage as the other student to continue in the program, which very much shows favoritism. This caused undue stress on my pregnancy at the time. I was on complete light duty by my OBGYN and the school was aware. I also had documentation of the hyperemesis I experienced throughout the whole quarter. Not to mention, I had experienced a spontaneous miscarriage less than 6 months prior to this event, which was a traumatic event that one does not simply get over, as the **** had said to me (literally told me get over it when discussing how my depression/feeling isolated/helpless was affecting my grades previously). I believe an external investigation of this event should be performed. I had contacted the campus executive director when I was seeking resources shortly after I made my first appeal and received no help. hich quickly turned into an interrogation about my grades. The **** dismissed my concerns, told me to get over it, and said contacting Title IX looked bad. From then on, I faced hostility from both faculty and deans. I failed a course by 0.2% at the end of the quarter. I appealed my grade based on my health issues. The **** refused to review my exam. A classmate in the same boat successfully appealed and had her score adjusted, but my appeal was denied. I filed multiple complaints with Title IX, leading to an internal investigation with no findings, and I was academically withdrawn. I was told ** have to start over if I returned. The **** also refused to sign my application to challenge the FL LPN exam, despite my eligibility. This has left me with over 40k in student debt and useless credits. These events have caused emotional distress and financial hardship. I feel discriminated against and unjustly treated, particularly as a student facing health issues during pregnancy.Business Response
