If I could give 0 stars I would. My parents and I used allied to move across country and they ruined some pieces of furniture that I didnt even know since I had Covid when they delivered my furniture to my storage unit so I couldnt even meet them since I was sick. I have a very expensive curio cabinet that has nothing wrong with any of the doors prior to the move but after I unwrapped it from the plastic they use to wrap it, I noticed one of the doors doesnt stay closed properly because the door is uneven. When they packed my tv stand which has 2 drawers that were both fine before the day of our move, one of the men broke the piece that makes the drawers slide in and out off and now I have one drawer that I cant even use because it cant slide in or out since he broke that piece off. He didnt even care to tell his bosses and just hid the piece in the other drawer so no one would notice which is very unprofessional and childish.I had a shelf in my computer desk which I cant use because they lost the brackets that hold the shelf up.We used allied 11 months ago but I am writing this to warn people about the people they hire to move your things and that if you use them then you may have your furniture ruined so be careful. Some of my parents furniture were ruined also and my dad had a bankers lamp that was perfect but they broke it.

Allied is great with quotes, and collecting money, but if you have a damage complaint, you get a runaround and rudeness. I had a $26000.00 personal move- and a refinishing claim afterward ( damaged during the move due to heavy objects placed on top of furniture) and was first told about a $500.00 deductible by the claims adjuster who came here. Not one person I spoke to prior mentioned the deductible - not the salesman, move coordinator or claim adjuster . It was the contracted refinisher who told me - and no one would even address it/ its the point that once allied collects the money- they want any part in explaining anything to you or helping you - telling us we initialed the part about the deductible( at a rushed time, in the middle of another local move, and amongst 17 pages)- never saw it at all its the lack of transparency and customer service / would not recommend corporate Allied and especially Atlas Allied in *****, **. They have not been at all helpful once this large move was completed , and the local employees were rude ! Corporate Allied was NO help at all - customer service for them is an oxymoron

We are very sorry that you had damage to report and had to file a claim. We do apologize that you feel you were not made aware of the $500 deductible. However, the Declaration of Value which explains the valuation very clearly has the customer's initials in the $500 deductible box and has the customer's signature on 10/17/23 declaring they chose to have a $500 deductible.

Again, we are very sorry if you feel you were misled at any point. It is never the invention of the carrier to have this happen.

************ submitted a damage claim on 18 Nov. As we are unpacking I am finding additional damage, to that identified during the packing. I anticipate additional from the initial packing and loading (which was very poor). On a disconcerting note, ALL of the electrical cords have been removed / disconnected from each individual piece of electronic equipment (flat panel sound bar, turntable cord, play station, etc). None of these cords were placed in the Spare Parts box. **** ***** (*********.***) can verify this as he returned to our house to review the large number of household items not packed or moved which required assigning an additional team to return to finish the packing and move the items (including the Spare Parts box that only contained the couch legs and a wall clock top. There are also numerous non numbered loose items (spice rack) and boxes. This has been the worst move, in terms of damage and possible lost items, Ive had in 20 plus years of military transfers and moves (this time as a civilian). When I initiated the damage claim process on 18 NOV 2023, I was informed we had 60 days to find and report all damaged items along with photos. I was not told if the was business or calendar days. I was informed that my claim was being close on 21 DEC 2023. Are you kidding me?This has been the worst move, in terms of damage and possible lost items, Ive had in 20 plus years of military transfers and moves (this time as a civilian).

Terrible insurance coverage. I am furious. I packed my 58 plasma TV properly in a dedicated heavy duty TV moving box with styrofoam corners and bubble wrap. It arrived broken and your insurance company refuses to pay because it was packed by owner. This is BS and if no insurance would be available for items packed by owner you should tell people this beforehand. Verbally. Dont hide behind the fine print. Also, they are refusing to pay for the refrigerator heater pad that never was delivered by saying that it wasnt documented at the time of delivery or some c*** We had two loads delivered weeks apart and the item descriptions were illegible and inadequately described to be of any use. This is a completely unacceptable handling of our claims. The insurance protection is virtually worthless.**********

We are truly sorry that the claimant had damage to report from their relocation and a missing item.

When items are packed by owner, the carrier has no idea of the condition or working order of the item prior to packing so it cannot be confirmed that the damage to the item was caused by the carrier and therefore is denied.

The customer is responsible to check their items at the time of delivery to ensure all items tendered to the carrier were received and it is up to the customer to document any missing at the time of delivery.

Unfortunately this did not happen.  However, the claim file is in line for a review and possible reconsideration.

Again, we are very sorry for the frustration and inconvenience this has caused.

Worst movers ever! Forbes rated them #1 so I hired them big mistake. My property sat in a ***** warehouse for 2 weeks in July so everything had to be washed/dry cleaned. None of the boxes were able to be reused they were so damaged. Multiple items were broke, you tell the boxes were just thrown around. Everything was dirty I found shoe prints on my white furniture. Delivery was a week late. Delivery mover just kept saying you just need some wood glue I regret trusting Allied with my household goods.

We are very sorry for all the frustration and inconvenience this customer has experienced. What is described is not what is expected of a professional service and we apologize that our services fell short of that expectation.

Please contact the claims department at ************ option 2 to request a claim form. Please complete the claim form and submit it as quickly as possible so the claims team can get to work on resolution.

I see a delay claim has already been filed so that will be worked on as well.

Again, we do apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.

Horrific. I filled something out on line stating I needed to move on July 10 from ***** to **********. They called me and scheduled a quote on July 6, the first day I would be back in *****. I told them on the call that I had to move on the 10th and the only reason the quote was so late was because I currently wasnt there and she assured me it would be ok. Its now the 6th, they were supposed to be here at 8am. **** calls me at 7:50 apologizing because the schedule was screwed up. Wasnt an issue, we could do the quote over the phone. She proceeded to quote me $7,600, because it was a last minute move across state lines. Mind you, we had already moved 2/3 of our stuff on our own. There were no appliances, no couches or chairs, 3 beds, only 2 top mattresses, dining table, and some boxes, etc. She kept mentioning that it was a last minute move and they may not have room in the schedule for us, even though the lady WHO CALLED ME (keep in mind I never called these people, they called me, knowing my move was on the 10th and I told them repeatedly I had to move on the 10th and nothing was last minute). The only response the lady had was it wasnt me you talked to! Now we have no mover, and 4 days to get our stuff out (fun with an infant and toddler). $7,600!!! For less than a 1bdrm apt worth of stuff and driving it 4 hrs. If they could do the quote over the phone why didnt they do that originally so we didnt have to wait until the 6th which is what supposedly threw their schedule off. Altogether terrible and moving is stressful enoughthese people know what youre going through while moving and instead of trying to help they try to take advantage of you in a weak spot.

Allied moved us from ** to MD in 2022. We purchased ********** Protection which stated, in writing"...if you choose ECP and your damaged item cannot be repaired to its original **ndition, we will provide you quality replacement **mpensation..." That's not what happened, in actual practice! We filed a claim for damaged items- of note, the driver admitted to having an accident en-route, he hit a low tree branch! Our solid wood cherry dining table (& 2 other wood tables) had noticeable abrasion/rub marks across the length of tabletop (likely from the load shifting during his accident?) plus other breakage etc claims. Our claim was accepted & 2 attempts were made to refinish the dining table BUT the results were unsatisfactory- the sheen didn't match the undamaged leaf plus numerous fine scratches & a few machine: swirl marks. I **mplained & Allied sent another restoration ** to assess. That 2nd **mpany rep. basically said the repair was per ********************* yet while ack***ledging to me that restoration **mpanies cannot duplicate the original factory finish & he added "in 7 years, the sheen will likely match". This is Not the same result as "returned to pre-move **ndition"!!! This was the 1st time hearing/seeing ******************** Allied rep *** says is their internal language meaning their 2nd restoration **. said the repair was acceptable within their industry. What about Allied's written ECP ? Tabletop was NOT returned to its pre-move **ndition & IMHO, *** Allied has ignored "pre-move **ndition" language , instead referring to ******************* which is just an internal term- Totally unacceptable & misleading to customers:-(Our dining table was in excellent **ndition, only a few yrs old, (no noted damage by Allied prior to move), hardly used & protected with a table pad when used. Allied *** tells me my only re**urse is Arbitration-an additional **st to ************* reports Arbitration sides w/**mpany not plaintiff.

We have dealt with many moving companies over the years and Allied has now become the worst experience we have ever had. The started the move by bringing the wrong equipment and no tools. The driver then damaged the entrance to the condo complex with an oversided truck. They did deliver our items as scheduled is the only positive. We had our items delivered to a storage locker and did not realize that we needed to make sure they unpacked every single thing to check it. The large TV they packed was packed in a wardrobe box without protective corners, therefore was broken when we unpacked it. Both TV's where missing their stands. Several pieces of furniture had the legs removed and were missing, but not all??? The center piece of a brand new love seat recliner was missing. We would have seen this if they unpacked everything as they unloaded it. Because we did not unpack all our claims have been denied. Honestly broken items I understand, it happens, missing items feels too much like theft. Very disappointed, and would never recommend.

This is the worst interstate moving company I have ever worked with (fourth cross country move) by far. The origin movers (Olympian based in ***) were utterly inadequate and unprepared. One of the Olympian employees (***********************) tried to solicit additional funds over TEXT MESSAGE because the goods were overweight compared to her binding quote. When ***** customer service was brought in and told Olympian to file the correct forms for the overage, they declined to do so - clearly they were trying to grift additional money from me under the table. Then, after Allied broke more than a dozen items (10 of which were worth filing claims over), they agreed to pay out over four thousand dollars in damages and late fees (since no one released my shipment from the storage warehouse for weeks with zero communication) on a twelve thousand dollar move four months after the claim has been made they are STILL denying liability for the damages on one large antique item after I provided irrefutable timestamped evidence (more than three months ago now) that the Lead Claims Analyst just told me over the phone she never bothered to review (I created a side by side markup of the before and after photos for heavens sake!). Allied has been utterly negligent from top to bottom - leaving furniture wrappings all over my yard, breaking more items than I've ever experienced in previous moves, origin movers trying to scam people out of additional money, and now taking more than four months to review a claim competently meaning I can't cash that four thousand dollar check they already sent. The turnaround times are awful, and it's clear that they're just trying to give me the runaround until I go away because this move will likely be a total loss for them due to their own operators' negligence. THE WORST.

Be Careful!********************************* (Allied Van Lines) was the only company that came to our home to conduct the move inventory (all others did it remotely). And, they talked a good story. However, they failed to live up to their commitments. We engaged ******* to help us pack some of our belongings. They did so the day before the truck was to be loaded. We received a call half way through the packing day letting us know that they did not have a truck to move our belongings and that they would have to load on to multiple trucks, unload at a storage facility and then load onto a larger move truck that would take our stuff to our new home. This greatly concerned us because it would dramatically increase the risk of damage and loss for our items (which was the case).******* gave us a 9-day window in which they would deliver the load to our new home (** to MI). It took them a week into this delivery window to actually identify a truck that could move our belongings. And the truck finally showed up 11 days after the first day of the delivery window. When the truck did show up, it was not a moving van but a contracted tractor trailer. ******* had a local Allied franchise unload our belongings. The unloading crew said the front of the truck was packed fine but the back of the truck was such a mess that he had never seen anything like it before. Delivery of our items was delayed and things were lost and damaged in the move, including some of our furniture. We filed claims and received compensation for the delay and for the damaged items, but not for the missing ones because we were unable to take full inventory until after ************* left. The poor planning by ********************************* set our move on a disaster course from the beginning. ADVICE: Make sure the move company has a truck reserved for you well in advance and do not let the unloading crew leave your property until you have taken a full inventory of your belongings.
