We've moved quit a lot in *************, Allied Van Lines (Bayshore/ *********) is by far the most pathetic, irresponsible and beyond worst moving company who caused damage to my house floor, they send Hispanic guys who could't speak English and were not well trained in doing the moving job properly, firstly the did't cover the floor which they should have done, secondly they dropped heavy things on floor causing permanent dents to my house hard wood floor, the moving guys came to our house on January 4th, 2025 both of them couldn't speak nor understand English, once the floor was damaged we showed both of them right away but they got scared and not willing to be responsible for it, Immediately on the 10th January, 2025 contacted ****** ******** who is their *********ordinator) then she forwarded this matter to ****** ****** who is their (Claims Manager) working for Bayshore/ *********, Eventually they transferred this issue to their ***** ***** who is (Claims Adjuster) for Sirva who surprisingly have the same address as Allied Van Lines ********************************************* Today 28th April, 2025 I received Letter from ****** ******** (Allied Van Lines Lead Claim Analyst) working for Allied Van Lines which says they "don't accept the liability for the floor damage" So I kindly seek assistance from Better Business Bureau to help innocent consumers like us to deal with Allied Van Lines/ Bayshore/ ********* and represent our issue. As many people have reported this company and issues regarding with them many times prior and I truly seek a fair resolution to my issue

We are very sorry there was damage at the customer's origin home. However, new damage was not documented nor reported immediately as it needs to be with residence damage. A home is at risk on a daily basis with people entering and exiting and moving things out.

The customer was provided with a claim information sheet, which they signed, that stressed the walk through after packing and again after loading and also states any damage must be documented and marked on the paperwork prior to driver's departure from residence.

Unfortunately, the van lines cannot accept liability for their residence damage claim as it cannot be confirmed the damage was caused by Allied.

Firstly you are scared to even provide your name on this review, which dictates what you and your company stands for and thats the reason your company is reported on Better Business Bureau by endless bitter and negative customer/ consumer reviews, which is very shameful to see.On the other side my name as well as names of Allied Van Lines Associates along with the dates of when and how I dealt with is mentioned on my review, which speaks about transparency from my side and can be easily proved.Yes the Damage was shown to your non-english speaking nor understanding staff on the same day as well as documented via pictures and reported to the Allied Van Lines Associate named ****** ******** via e-mail which can be easily proved through the e-mail thread along with all other staff of yours I would urge Better Business Bureau to take into consideration several complaints against Allied Van Lines as its a non worthy company with no accountability or professional ethics whos causes permanent damage to their customers house and more over are even scared or I should say they feel shameful to even specify their names when commenting on a customers review.

I have moved a number of times and this move with Allied has been a nightmare. Their team was unprofessional in all respects and the either damaged or destroyed a number of valuable pieces of furniture and completely lost other items. I am still going through the claims process. It started when the packing crew came to the house and refused to pack expensive, fragile items in bubble wrap. The district manager came and nearly pulled his crew from the job because of this request. They had me buy $200 worth of bubble wrap and then still didn't use it. The district manager even tried to intimidate me. This was a cross country move. The loading crew took a look at the house which was 4000sqft and decided it was too large for them to handle so they walked off the job. Several days later another crew came on. They stuffed all of my expensive furniture into a small truck, piling heavy boxes on fragile items. I lost a lot of furniture this way. They dragged the bureaus across the truck on their side without any padding. A number of pieces were damaged this way. My daughter had a roll top desk that they broke the legs off of. We had an antique cedar chest and they broke all four legs off of it. On top of all of this, their moving price was exorbitant. I wouldnt recommend this company to someone I didnt like. Theyre just that bad. If you value your belongings, do not use this company for anything.

We sincerely apologize that the claimant had a significant amount of damage during their relocation. The Claim is in progress and being addressed.

It is never the intention of the carrier, nor is it a common situation to cause the frustration and inconvenience that is involved in resolution of a claim.

All parties involved will be advised of this situation and we do look forward to a quick resolution of the claim.

We do hope the claimant will soon be comfortably settled in their new location.

I have moved four times in the last five years without issue until I hired Allied. First, they are untrustworthy as a company. The *** claimed my load was over the estimate and wanted to charge an additional $2500. Knowing the driver told me the truck met weight, I asked for receipts, and the *** claimed a "mistake" had happened on their part. The company still charged me an additional $500 without telling me or offering explanation. Allied broke nearly every floor lamp, they broke the legs off of my desk, and just threw the desk into a dumpster without telling me. They unboxed a framed portrait they broke the glass on, and hid it behind items in the garage. Essentially, the company is dis***utable and I would rather hire a bunch of crack addicts before calling Allied again. The Careful Movers: what a joke.

We are very sorry the Claimant had issues with their relocation. I do not find where the customer has contacted our headquarters customer service nor do I find where they have filed a claim with the carrier.

If the customer has damages they certainly should file a claim.

We are unaware of the circumstances with the charges but it is possible that a mistake was made and the customer should contact the agency for an explanation as I am confident they will be provided with one.

Again, we are sorry for the frustration and inconvenience this has caused as it is never the intention of the carrier to cause damage or mislead a customer in any way.

the worst moving company ever. moved from **************** to *******. delivered items late, and we were not compensated for that. damaged furniture and a lost box lost our bedframe, weve been sleeping on the floor for two months now while we wait for the claims process. no apology, no phone call just unapologetic emails. they also lied about the moving process, I had no idea the truck they used to load our stuff would be sent to a warehouse where they loaded it onto another truck. do not use this company. they are also called ************************ moving.

On behalf of Allied Van Lines, we sincerely apologize for the 1 day delay in delivery of your household goods. It is never the intention of the van line to have any shipment delivery late as we understand the frustration and inconvenience it can cause. The driver had a mechanical issue that delayed the shipment a day beyond the delivery window. Mechanical issues are excluded from the delay policy as it is something the carrier has no control over.

Our apologies that you had damaged and missing items to report from your relocation and for the inconvenience this has caused as well. It is my understanding the claim adjuster is actively working on the claim and will resolve it as quickly as possible. It is my understanding also that an inspection is upcoming shortly.

We hope you are able to get comfortably settled in your new location shortly.

We are very sorry for this customer's concerns. However, the customer does not provide any details for us to look into.

Also the customer emailed our customer service department and was asked about what the issues were so they could be addressed and received no response.

We are more than happy to look into any issues but we need to know what the problem is.

The customer can get in touch with customer service and they will try to assist but we need to know the issues.

We moved from ******* to ** in July and were extremely disappointed with the entire process. We've moved 4 times in 7 years and this was by far the worst experience. The original packing crew showed up late on day 1. Day 2 crew was completely different people who struggled to finish, couldn't get everything left on the van, and had to come back at 9pm to take the remainder. When things were delivered to us in SC a week later, it was an extremely long and tiring day unloading - and several boxes were missing from the inventory list. The driver searched and told us everything had been located and checked off, and if things were broken or not found after unpacking "we could just file a claim", and we foolishly believed him. After unpacking everything within a week, we realised that several boxes from the garage had NOT been delivered and we had lost many tools, some sports items, bags etc. We have photos of the shelves that are missing so are very clear what is lost. We followed the process and filed a claim, which was rejected. We asked to elevate and review the claim again, rejected again, because the driver "found the items, and there was no notation on the paperwork that items were not received". The missing boxes were not on the delivery van and must have been lost in FL - presumably during the chaotic and disorganised packing and loading process. Many boxes arrived without numbers on, and the inventory descriptions were almost useless to track things. We have lost almost $2000 of our belongings because we trusted the driver - my advice would be to not sign the inventory until you are 100% sure everything has been delivered. We will never used Allied again.

We are very sorry that the customer is unhappy with the decisions of the claims department.  In their review, the customer states, "my advice would be to not sign the inventory until you are 100% sure everything has been delivered." Allied Van Lines actually strongly encourages customers to carefully check off their shipments at delivery.  The top Customer Check Off Sheet contains a statement advising the customer that the form is to be used to make notations of damaged or missing items, and that the form would be used if a claim was filed.  Each inventory page also advises the customer to check the shipment note any damaged or missing items, and to make sure that all items are accounted for.  Their Order for Service also provides information to access the booklet "Your Rights and Responsibilities When You Move", published by the *********************************************  The booklet provides extensive information regarding the importance of the check off procedure.

After delivery, the driver spent two hours with the customer going over the inventories, confirming the delivery of all items.  The driver also checked his trailer to ensure that all items had been delivered.

The customer has been provided with information on an independent arbitration process that he may pursue if he wishes to do so.

This is not a review of an Allied Van Lines shipment/delivery.

This appears to be a fraudulent email and the Carrier will not address this.

Think twice before hiring Allied. I moved across the country to another state which was a very expensive move. Upon arrival in the new state Allied delivered my belongings to a storage unit I found a house. Once delivered to the storage unit I did not unwrap or unpack any of my furniture. Upon finding a new house a local Allied team then moved my belongings from the storage unit to the house. When unwrapped at the new house it was discovered that my antique China cabinet had been severely damaged as the glass on one side was broken. In addition when taken from the box a big screen television was cracked. The local Allied movers informed me that the movers in the previous state had obviously not packed the items correctly.I subsequently filed a damage claim for these items. However, that process has been extremely frustrating. First, the woman assigned to my claim refused to keep me informed during the claims process and would not respond to my calls or emails to her. Finally after 2 months she sent me a generic email informing me that my claim had been denied. The reason given was that my belongings had been delivered to a storage unit and Allied was not responsible for the damage. This denial is the companys refusal to take responsibility for their failure to pack and take care of my furniture properly. They packed the items, transported them and then delivered to the storage unit. The furniture was never unpacked until the same company delivered them to the new house at which time they were unpacked by the movers.I am very disappointed that his company caused damage to my antique china cabinet and now refused to do the right thing and either pay for the replacement or repair of the furniture.I didnt even want to give this company a star but had to for the review. Please do not use this company!

We are very sorry for the frustration and inconvenience this claim settlement has caused. The claim file has been passed on to the review board and they will review the claim settlement and documents from the move and make a determination if further consideration can be given.

      Thank you

This moving company is the worst company They were late coming to my home. I had to stay in my hotel four extra days. The driver took all my belongings from ************ TN to his home in ************ IN. He didn't bother to ask permission. Another driver had go IN. to his home to get my things. A few days later I noticed several items was missing. They sent a lady alone . Several boxes were too heavy therefore I had to help her. My neighbors also volunteered to lent a hand and didn't know their names. Still, there were lots of belongings missing and broken (some of which were antiques) The more boxes I unpacked the more items I noticed was missing!!Some of the items missing included:Five foot a ladder, a motor for an adjustable bed (Doctor's orders) many more items. I have a feeling these and many other items are in ************ I wish go back in time and not even call Allied. Since they have been in 100 years I thought I it would good company but I was completely wrong!! DO NOT use this company They are terrible and don't care about their customers

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. They set me up with another company who were straight up criminals. And Allied didnt do anything to help me. They washed their hands of the situation and said they technically did what their contract says and I dont deserve any refund. They set you up with scam artists and say oh well, thats your fault. Meanwhile my stuff was stolen and held for ****** and allied couldnt care less.
