Worst Experience Of My LIFE!!! Promised my belongings would be loaded on one truck never to be touched until they reached my new home. Guess what they unpacked my stuff and broke and lost so many things because of it. Put it on another truck that couldn't fit all my stuff and they were late. Then the 2nd truck broke down with all my remaining belongings and then they got another truck. The stuff that wasn't broken that they took apart was missing pieces and they promised to assemble all unassembled items. LIES ON TOP OF LIES!!Allied Van Lines, Inc.

DO Not hire this company. I wish I could give zero stars. They talk a good game but, in the end, just want your money and don't value your belongings like you do. I spent a lot of money to move cross country and store my belongings until I was ready for them. This is what happened, the packers GOT LAZY and several of my items and furniture either got destroyed, damaged, or scratched and have black dirt marks on my furniture. Here is one of many things that happened during my move. My wedding silver is in a cherry box, I pulled all of the drawers out of my china cabinet so everything could be properly packed. The packer closed the drawer and did not pack it securely, he left it in the drawer for shipping in the cabinet drawer, now the cherry box is scrapped up and so is the silver. Also, boxes were either smashed or destroyed. My floor lamps are now bent and scratched, plus lampshades destroyed. When I reached out to the company, they sent me claim forms and stopped communicating with me. Save your money and do research, more expensive is not always better. I will be filing a claim, but I will see how that works out and how they treat me. I am very disappointed in Allied Van Lines.Allied Van Lines, Inc.

We are very sorry the Claimant had damages to report from their relocation. It is unfortunate and we never like for that to happen.
The Claimant was sent claim forms and they would not be communicating until the claim form is received. The Claimant needs to file their claim and the claims department will get to work on resolution.
Again, we are very sorry the Claimant did not experience a claim free move.

Our experience with North American Van *********************** specifically their subcontractor ************* Moving, was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. We recently moved our family from ******* to ********, and the level of incompetence and unprofessionalism we encountered was beyond belief.First and foremost, they lost several irreplaceable items. The box containing my daughter's clothes vanished without a trace, as well as a box filled with precious mementos from her school year. When we contacted them to report the missing items, *****************************, the representative we dealt with, was not only dismissive but downright rude. She accused us of lying about the unloading process, adding insult to injury during an already stressful time.Adding to our frustration, we were pressured to forgo the itemized check-off upon delivery. They claimed it would take too long, which now seems like a deliberate tactic to cover up their shoddy service. As a result, we discovered numerous items that were either damaged or improperly assembled. Among the casualties were multiple bikes, collectible books, and other sentimental mementos. The lack of accountability and care displayed by North American Van ********************** and ************* Moving is unacceptable. I strongly advise anyone considering their services to look elsewhere. Save yourself the heartache and choose a company that values your possessions and treats you with the respect you deserve.Review fromLaura C

Dishonest, told one thing for another, many lies, opened private boxes that were sealed, they contract out their drivers, trucks and mover, valuables broken.Allied Van Lines, Inc.

We are very sorry if this claimant had issues to report from their relocation. We find no customer service notes where the claimant had called in during their relocation with any issues at all. If there were issues we had no opportunity to investigate and correct. It appears there was possibly a slight delay due to the driver breakdown but again no issues were called in.
The claimant would need to provide more detailed information for us to investigate.
Thank you.

Never use them. They will damage , loose or even possibly worse. They do not take responsibility and you are better off paying for a more reputable shipper. They used the lowest cost handlers and only give you 3-4 hours to file claims. Do not get fooled by their claim of 9 months to file a claim. If you do not file it at time of drop off you will get nothing.Overall do not use if possible.Allied Van Lines, Inc.

It is unfortunate to receive this review as the statements made are untrue.
There are no "lowest cost handlers" involved in our relocations and we are very passionate in providing the best possible relocation to all of our customers.
Our customers do have 9 months to file their claim, however this is not a guarantee of acceptance of liability for the carrier. There are things that must be reported right away in order to determine the carrier is liable and this may be one of those cases.
We are very sorry the claimant was unsatisfied with the carrier and do apologize for any inconvenience this customer experienced.

I used Allied Van lines to move from ********** to ********. Their sales pitch was on point, stressing their professionalism and their expertise in moving delicate equipment. As you can see from the photos below, that wasn't true. My custom built audio PC was tossed off the truck by the mover and is non functional now. The truck driver tossed equipment and goods off the truck haphazardly, stating that anything broken would be covered by insurance. She admitted to going through our belongings to repack items. It's been months and we are still finding odds and ends in various places. The damages to our goods nearly equals the price we paid to have Allied ship them. 0/10, would never use them again.Allied Van Lines, Inc.

We sincerely apologize for the frustration and inconvenience you are experiencing from your relocation. It is never the intention of the carrier to perform their services in a manner less than you would expect from a professional moving service.
I do see that a claim was filed and the carrier accepted liability for most items claimed with a settlement headed your way if not already received.
Again, we do apologize that you had damage to report and that the service was not as professional as anticipated.

I have requested they stop calling multiple times, they haven't stopped. I blocked their number and they still leave me multiple voice-mails every day. This company harrasses you after buying your information from a 3rd party service. If this isn't criminal it should be. 1 star is far too many.Allied Van Lines, Inc.

We are very sorry if it is our company making the calls. Perhaps you have an option on your phone to block the call? That should eliminate the calls.
Again, we are very sorry for the inconvenience.

We are in our 80s and have have moved many times over the course of our lives. This move with Allied to another state was awful. They neglected to pack things, they lost boxes packed by them, they did not reassemble our master bed properly. They broke a table leg and scratched several pieces of furniture. They then failed to compensate us for the losses saying we signed a form at delivery accepting that all was delivered even though we had many boxes to unpack and had no way of knowing what was in them..Allied Van Lines, Inc.

We are very sorry for any frustration and inconvenience this has caused. It appears there were items left at the origin residence. It is up to the customer to ensure that all items that are to be transported are tendered to the carrier at the time of loading and prior to leaving the residence. The Claimant did not report any damages on their claim form, just items claimed as missing. If the claimant has damages to report they are still able to do so.
Unfortunately, we are unable to compensate for items claimed as missing because it is up to the customer to check their items at delivery to ensure all items tendered are delivered. We do not ask for the customer to open all boxes to inspect the contents, they just need to check that all boxes are delivered as items would be unable to escape the cartons during transit.
Again, we are very sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.

On Dec 27, 2023 Allied Van lines came to our home in ******** to pack part of our belongings. On Dec 28, 2023 they came and packed our belongings into the truck. The truck arrived at our new home in ******* several days later on January 4. Upon unpacking it was found that a computer chair and a box containing a computer, printer, and accessories were missing. The driver had misdelivered the chair to another address and was able to retrieve it and deliver it the next day. The box with the computer/printer was never found. After 3 weeks Allied determined that it was lost and offered me $350 for the box since they did not pack it and could not confirm what was in the box. However, on Dec. 27 when the packers were at our home, the man packing the kitchen saw me packing the computer. I was about to try and put the monitor into the computer box when he said let me put that into a dish pack so the screen does not get damaged and he did that. So someone affiliated with Allied saw me packing the computer box. The fact that Allied "lost" a box that was clearly marked as computer and printer and acknowledged misdelivering part of our belongings to the wrong address makes one truly question what happened to the computer box. When we booked Allied we took the $125,000 insurance policy with no deductible. Now they are offering a flat fee of $350 for a computer and printer. The fact that Allied misdelivered at least one item and lost another item seriously brings into question the quality of service and integrity of this company. These mistakes were made by Allied, not me and offering a mere $350 is unacceptable especially when one of their own workers saw me pack the box. We have now found that another box with additional power tools is missing. It these items got on the truck in ********, how do these mysteriously get off before arrival at the new address? I would advise anyone from using Allied Van Lines and suggest you use a more reputable company.Allied Van Lines, Inc.

We do apologize that the claimant had issues to report from their relocation. It is unfortunate there was some damage and items claimed as missing. It is never the intention of the carrier to have damage and/or a loss occur. The claims department is continuing to investigate and review the claim settlement. The claimant should continue to work with the claims department for resolution in the matter.
Again, we sincerely apologize for the frustration and inconvenience this has caused.
