      I was showing a friend how to book a hotel through Groupon. I never pressed the button to book it. Nor did I receive any type of notification that it was purchased. I look at my bank account the next day and my account is overdrawn based on this purchase. Over the course of two days, I call all the numbers online, I chat with 4 people for help and they say there is nothing they can do. I couldnt get a real person at all. The escalation process says they will get back to me in 7 days, meanwhile the hotel is booked for tonight. Finally, I called my credit card company to cancel it, thank god. HOW CAN A COMPANY THAT REACHES MILLIONS OF PEOPLE NOT HAVE A CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER WIITH REAL PEOPLE??!!! I have referred so many people to Groupon and Ive used it hundreds of times myself, but I am closing my account. This is bad business.

      Through Groupon, I purchased Surfing Lessons for $156. The next day, I contacted the merchant to schedule my ****** and he informed me that he was no longer offering the ******s and to ask Groupon for a refund. I sent Groupon an email informing them of the matter and asking for a full refund. I received an email reply from Groupon saying they would get back to me soon, but weeks later I have yet to receive a refund or reply from Groupon despite contacting them again several times. Groupon can be a total rip-off so BEWARE!

      I purchased a service with Groupon on 8/4 for $53. I realize that I had put in a wrong email and couldnt get back to where I could find my order number ( first time using it). I emailed them to tell them what happened. Then I had my debit card reissued. They were supposed to refund my debit card never did. I been sending emails and they have told me to sign in to the email that I made a mistake on, I dont remember what it was. Every week I been emailing them and there is something different. I tried to go into my account, its been saying server having technical problems) for 48 hours. NO WAY. So they became $53 ROBBER!!!!!!

      I placed an order for goods through Groupon. They sent the wrong item, not what was pictured/described online. I got no resolution trying to return it. I will NEVER use Groupon again and warn anyone else from doing so. After this nightmare, I am reading all kinds of complaints. They are not a reliable, honest company. Please beware.

      I purchased two tickets for the ************************* in ********* for 8/18/2022. On the date and time of my reservation, the event was closed/cancelled without any notice. The ********************* responded with, they have nothing to do with the deck viewing, call the box office. The ********** responded with, you purchased through a third party that we notified of the event cancellation, they will have to refund your money. The Groupon agent, Praveen, said they were not notified of the cancelation. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told the supervisor will email me. This is the worst customer service I have had in a very long time. I am very disappointed at the amount of time I have spend trying to get a refund for an event that didn't happen and that I had no control of. The discount with Groupon is really not that much, especially if you have the Caesars reward card that also offers discounts.

      As a struggling small business owner I hoped to depend on Groupon to help us through these unpredictable times and its been nothing but a nightmare. I wake up daily looking through my emails for a response from their management team and its now been over a week. This clearly indicates they have no sympathy for their members/users. An a direct result of their lack of sympathy and urgency I wont be able to meet my operational costs in a timely manner this month. They also strictly declined to deduct for themselves, any less then 25% from the total amount people paid for promotions despite they definitely dont deserve that much, considering theyve barely even been there to assist me with any of my issues, let alone my clients with any of their groupon related issues. Based on my experience, merchants and their clients come last at groupon. I mean, with all the businesses that advertise through them, and their minimum 25% takeaway from all sales proceeds, where do their profits go I wonder? And why are they not going towards funding a proper call centre that can offer solid assistance to both groupon consumers and merchants. In my humble opinion, Groupon should be disregarded because what comes around should go back around.

      I purchased four tickets from Groupon for single day admission to either ***** Gardens or *************. When I got to ***** Gardens with the tickets, the woman scanning them stated that the tickets could only be used at *************. I went back into the app and purchased more tickets to enter the ***** Gardens theme park.. it should be noted that these tickets were only $3 less than the full ticket price to buy them from the theme park. After getting into the park, I spent a great deal of my visit trying to speak with a live agent no one became available to speak to me live and instead someone kept going back and forth with me through text and stated they could not see the issue i posted. I contacted Groupon again today to try and have a live chat and was given the same prompt about them experiencing higher than normal volumes of calls. Eventually the agent texted and explained that there were four options that I could choose, and the option that I chose was the one to have the four tickets refunded back to my account, which he stated would take about 3 days. He then messaged me again and stated that since the tickets are final sale he is no longer able to assist and I will have to wait 24 to 48 hours to hear back from a resolution team instead. I also asked to have this escalated with a supervisor, I was then told that the supervisor expressed the need to send it to the resolution team. At this point I have purchased eight tickets and I only needed four. The way the tickets were presented misled me to believe that the tickets I initially purchased could be used at either Park. I am simply trying to get a refund for the initial for tickets purchased which apparently are for ************* only. I do not have money to give away to Groupon, and I never had any plans of attending *************. I would like a refund back in the form paid, I will not accept Groupon bucks or any other alternatives.

      It has been well over a week since my last contact with Groupon. Today, I reached out again and expressed that no one has contacted me back regarding my issue, and before even receiving a response back I got an email stating that my refund has just been processed as Groupon bucks. I have made it clear that I wish to receive my refund in the original form of payment. I have not intent to continue to use Groupon for any other services after this issue.

      Because A Customer Cancels their ********************** I Should Not Be Penalized as A Merchant. I have 35 GP Reviews 29 are Great 6 Bad Over The Past 6 Years.My Customers Love My Work. I am Human, I caught COVID Twice And I might of forgot to Call a Customer or Two Back when I said I would due to being overwhelmed or Sick. But, I Work Hard ********************** My GP Customers Because that's how I Get Paid and ********* of My Family.Groupon Suspending My Account Because Customers Canceled their GP's is Not My Fault. Especially when Groupon does not allow me to communicate with the customer by giving me their phone number or email so that I can get them on my calendar.So if they cancel how is this my fault?Especially when I list in the fine details exactly what they get and they buy it.This suspension has tremendously financially hindered my family's income.This situation can be a win-win for both Groupon and myself if management would reach out and call me to see a way that we can adjust whatever needs to be adjusted so we're both making money.I would like management to give me a call and I would like an apology for my suspension over 4 months over something that's not my fault.And I would like them to launch my campaigns as soon as possible.In Advance, Thank You Better Business Bureau for your help.*********************

      I very recently bought a Groupon for a massage. I paid for the Groupon and a couple days later I went to their website to setup an appointment. The company said (in writing and on their website) that any Groupon customers, first time, will need to pay an unrefundable amount of $10.00 and the customer does NOT have a choice. So this person is having customers pay for the Groupon and then adding more money on top of this. Obviously this is not right and plays out to be some sort of scam. I contacted Groupon asking why any company would be able to do this. I also asked for a refund. Of course it's always like pulling teeth for Groupon to actually refund back to the type of payment that you made. They only offer refunds in Groupon Bucks. Well, I did get my refund (finally) but they refuse to answer my question of why they allow this to happen. I had been speaking to someone named "****************" and REFUSES to answer that question. I am seeing a lot of bad reviews related to Groupon so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. My advice is to beware of anything you might buy off this company. What I went through is a scam! BTW, the company is still selling on Groupon.
