      Absolutely the last company I would ever deal with again. Prepare for no shows and excuses. Getting through the automated voice system is a true test on will. Do not use this company .

      Numerous times we have been scheduled for pick *** and no one has come out to us. We were then charged even though no pick up was done. They claimed each time that someone came to our office but no one ever came out. This last time, they said a person was at my office for 45 minutes. No one came to the office! It does not take 45 minutes to collect papers. Cancelled my service.

      We had used them for years. They invoiced us for something that they did not do (this was back in 2020). I called their support team and they said they understand and that it was taken care of. Then every three months we would get a new notice that we were deliquent. I would call and get the same response, everything was fine. After 2 years and multiple threats to cut services my CFO decided to settle for half of the amount (at the time we couldn't find a replacement company) and they emailed us saying if we paid it the invoice would be considered paid in full. We paid it and still no relief. Now another year and a half has passed and they have stopped picking up. I have called them 11 times (documented) and have provided them with a copy of the email where they said it would be considered settle and a copy of the cashed check. All they do is give you reference numbers and never get back with you. This is very poor customer service and is causing us to go find another company. I certainly hope you consider this situation before choosing a shredder company. Their employees who pick up were great, any support you need for billing will leave a lot to be desired.

      Horrible company. Way overpriced and have nickel and dimed me to death just trying to get rid of them. I cannot put into words my total disgust with this company. I urge you to find a local company as I have that will give you much better service at a far better price with much more interest in you as a local business yourself.

      "0" stars preferred. The Shred-It Stericycle company in *************, ** was used to empty and shred 1 storage unit at a Public Storage Facility about 10 miles from their office in January 2023. A "Terms and Conditions" contract was sent and a customer representative verbally gave a per box cost. Any added questions were reviewed with the manager. We understood the per box shredding cost on our signed agreement for service. However, it was very unclear that additional "Surcharges per Index Table" (no table #s given) were to be added to our final bill statement. The added Surcharges per "Index Table" are for: Recycling Recovery Surcharge Fuel Surcharge Environmental Surcharge These were listed under 2 columns that stated Metro surge $0 per box. We assumed no additional costs were to be added then. Our final bill statement had an additional $372 dollars added to our estimated cost. The "Fuel Surcharge" alone was $253 for a local service appointment. Repeated calls and emails sent to their customer service showing why paperwork etc... were confusing resulted in nothing. The company truck did not show up at all on the original date and was several hours late on the rescheduled date. I wish we had read the reviews before choosing this company. The end result was our total cost had an additional amount of over $372 added to our estimate. $253 dollars of this was "fuel surcharge"! We repeated contacted customer service department per email as well as per phone for a more full explanation. We were repeatedly told it was being reviewed and a decision would be made on how to handle our situation. The end result was no adequate explanation and no compensation. This company also did not show up 2 times on the day and times they were suppose to come. This was also communicated repeatedly on those days to customer service. What should have been a fairly easy pick up at a Public Storage Facility turned out to be a frustrating and disappointing experience.

      Complete lack of follow up. My organization decided to change vendors to Shred-It. There was very little action on the vendors part to help make the change to their service. They had their own schedule to keep, (BTW, we had about 60 locations) and that is all that mattered.They did not deliver when promised, they left ** without service, and they would not give ** any dates for follow up. After about a year with MANY hours on our end we got the ************* set up. Many contacts at Shredit, no results.But they continue to invoice incorrectly. I was lucky to pass this service and vendor to someone else in my organization. But 2 years latter I still get phone calls from them about invoice issues. I have reached out to my organization and theirs and cannot get my contact information removed from their system.Poor service all the way around.Stay away even if they promise a savings.

      I used for 3 years. Service was mediocre. They make you sign a 5 year agreement without informing you. No other shredding company does this. Use someone else. Many good reputable companies available

      This doesn't deserve a star!!Shred it has the worst customer service! No follow through, customer service reps ***** like robots. Been trying to cancel for a month and still not complete. Standard response..someone will be in *********-7 business days.

      I do not have a shred it account and received a call discussing invoices that are owed. I DO NOT owe Shred it any money as I’ve never signed an agreement with them. I don’t have time to get on the phone with a company who I don’t even have business with. Scammy. 0 stars
