      I agree with the other reviewer. This company does not even deserve one star. I have been battling them with a charge that I paid and they overcharged from October and I still cannot get it fix. Additionally every time you can them, they hang up on you. It is absolutely awful services. I do not recommend.

      Like many reviewers, I have experienced a huge headache dealing with Shred-it. My bin was rarely, if ever serviced, yet I was still billed exorbitant fees for services not provided. Requesting pick up was useless, requests went unanswered. Finally, my company flagged a payment to them and my company's procurement team informed me that I should discontinue my service with shred it due to widespread customer service and billing problems across our company. I have now been struggling for almost 5 months to get Shred-it to retrieve their equipment, which to my knowledge has never been serviced at my office. I have made several service appointments with confirmation from customer service, in writing and verbally, yet the equipment still remains in my office. Clearly this company is under poor management and offers non-existent customers service, and bills for services that they do not provide. Do not hire this company for any document destruction needs, you would be wasting your time and throwing away money.

      They DO NOT EVEN DESERVE ONE STAR! This is the worst company out there. We had a one time shred scheduled and a contract but now 7 months later we are still fighting over the inaccurate **** and overbilling. Isn't a federal offence to constantly send overbilling invoices to a client? WE have a contract and they continue to come up with reasons why they cannot fix this. I am done being nice with this company and their HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT TEAM. How about a class action lawsuit? I am sure several of the complainants on this page alone would love to join us!!?? We were told that our invoice on July 10, 2022 for $2101.00 (even though we felt is was a bit high due to "fuel surcharges") was finally corrected so we paid it in full - that means a zero balance but today, August 12, 2022 we received an invoice for $4344.68 nothing about this makes sense. They have tried to schedule more pick **** tried to get us to sign a new contract, they constantly harass us with incorrect invoices even though our business has closed and we are no longer at that location...enough is enough. Time to contact the *************************

      DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE! UNFORTUNATELY WE ARE DEALING WITH BOTH SHRED IT AND STERICYCLE!!! BOTH HAVE GIVEN ME THE RUN AROUND. THEY HAVE TRIED TO BUMP UP THE ORIGINAL COST OF THE SERVICE AND KEEP TELLING ME IT TAKES SO LONG TO MAKE ADJUSTMENTS ON THE ACCOUNTS. I HAVE SPOKEN TO NUMEROUS REPRESENTATIVES AND WHEN I ASK TO SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR OR MANAGER, I'M BEING TOLD "THEY ARE UNAVAILABLE". THE CALLS ARE ANSWERED IN ******* AND THEN YOU ARE TRANSFERRED TO A CALL CENTER OVERSEAS, THIS HAS BEEN A VERY FRUSTRATING EXPERIENCE TO SAY THE LEAST. HOW CAN SOMETHING SO SIMPLE BE SUCH AN ISSUE. I DON'T GET IT. I ORIGINALLY HAD THE SHREDDING **** DELIVERED LATE LAST YEAR AND CALLED IN APRIL TO ARRANGE PICK UP OF THE **** THEN RECEIVED A PAST DUE INVOICE IN MAY. HERE WE ARE IN AUGUST WITH NO RESOLUTION. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE OR SHOULD I SAY "LACK OF SERVICE" !!!

      ****BEWARE***** I would never recommend this business to anyone. I was given an initial quote for onsite shredding and a week window to have the job completed. I was on vacation the week I planned so I could be flexible. I had to call almost daily leading up to the week requested because they never scheduled the appointment until the Friday before the week window. Of course the appointment wasn't during the week requested. Then magically it changed after calling several more times. The truck shows up to find out its not on-site shredding but a box truck to haul my stuff away. The driver talked about how he had 3 other stops that day. They take my stuff and then no receipt. I have call the company again as now I do not know what I am getting charged. I am told an invoice will be emailed. The best part is I get the invoice to find a fuel surcharge of $179.28 that was never mentioned anywhere in the process. If all four of the appointments were charged that day, that it is $717.16 in just fuel surcharges. This is absolutely absurd. That is 152 gallons of fuel for a truck that maybe holds 75 gallons. I wish I would have came on this site before as it is very apparent I would not have used your disgrace of a business.

      I will NEVER, EVER do business with this company again. Negative stars should be an option. A complete nightmare from start to finish. I spent hours on the phone tracking the truck down for a one time scheduled pick up. Was hung up multiple times then finally told me there was a glitch with their system and my appt was removed from the calendar but they could "accommodate" me in a few hours. This was at a storage facility and I had ***** junk coming to take the cabinets after the shredding truck. I had to empty all of the cabinets (because ***** junk showed up on time) and then load the shred it truck when they came. That's just the beginning. Then I started receiving collection calls and emails on a **** I never got. It was addressed to the wrong place and listed the wrong pick up address. I had to laugh when their invoice email said "reply to this email with questions" and the email address is "do not reply." Once I actually got a real response, almost a year later, with the correct address and location, I asked for an 1-9 to pay the ****. Well, that was about 5 collection notices ago so I bit the bullet and paid it by cc. This company should NOT be allowed to continue business. Horrible everything!

      Unbelievable company, and not in a good way. I was quoted $175 for up to 10 boxes of documents and $8 per box after that. When the driver came he told me I was already paid via my credit card . Now they are trying to collect $259 and refuse to explain that billing amount! I dont know if these people don't understand English, are arrogant, or just plain stupid, but I can't get anyone to tell me where they are getting the amount that they claim I owe. This shouldn't be that hard. Horrible, horrible company... don't ever deal with them!!!

      I would give negative stars if it were possible. They don't show up when they're supposed to, they make random appointments without telling you and customer services hangs up on you for no reason. I've been trying to cancel our account for a month and they won't let me schedule to pick up our equipment. Please avoid this business at all costs it is a nightmare.

      They used to be good-we used them for years. But this year we had a billing and pick up problem that they could not resolve. Long hold times then disconnected. Promises to call back that were never made. Finally, I just told them to cancel our account. We had another company come pick up the shredding that wasn't done and deliver new boxes (took 1 phone call). Despite 5 more calls Shred-it still hasn't picked up their boxes. Called again today and was told to expect a call in **** days to schedule pickup. I am not optimistic.

      We are not getting follow-up to previous multiple reference numbers called into their customer service department. In the last week it seems their customer service department intentionally disconnects before you can speak to anyone. Absolutely atrocious customer service with no resolution. This problem is unresolved and has been open for 2 months. Final pick-up of containers was supposed to have occurred 5/27/2022. Containers are completely full and we have received no follow-up. Spending too much time trying to connect.
