If I could give less than one star, I would. We ordered a bin to fill for shredding in April 2022. The next week they came to pick it up even though no one asked them to as we were not finished with the bin. They tried to pick it up two more times without notice. Finally, I called them to pick it up when we were finished and the man said we had to sign another contract. The service contract was for $235 plus mileage which was paid. Then we got a bill for $588. I've received numerous notices regarding past due amount and each time, I send them a letter with all communication I've had with their company. Today I received a Final Notice and I'm about at the end of my rope. DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!Shred-It, a Stericycle Company

I spoke to the man that came in as he walked by, to tell him which way he could come through but he had his ear buds in and completely ignored me. He walked around an aisle and I said it again, and again was completely ignored. He never spoke to anyone here. He came in and left without so much as a hello. Very unprofessionalReview fromIyanna H

Im writing this review on behalf of my mom. Im not sure if they are having an internal organization and communication problem, but the customer service has been horrendous. My mom contacted this company so that she can properly dispose of her paperwork. They sent the contract, she signed. I personally entered in the payment information, per their protocol, so that my card would be charged upon completion of services. I received confirmation that my payment information had been saved (see screenshot). They come and complete the service. Almost a month later, my mom receives an invoice saying they are still waiting for payment. She calls yesterday and speaks to a male who provides the most rude and nastiest customer service to an elderly, sick woman. He berates her on the phone for almost **************************************** to explain that they have my card information on file that they should have charged immediately. He hangs up on her. I get a notification early this morning from my bank that they have processed the payment. So, basically, a company forgets to collect payment from a customer even though they have the payment information on file, the customer had already consented for payment to be collected immediately upon completion, the company forgets to charge the customer and yells/screams/berates the customer even though its the *********************** fault, and the company finally gets around to collecting payment the next day without apology to the customer for their error. We will never use this company again and hopefully they will make improvements, treat their customers with respect, follow their protocols, and apologize when they make an error.Shred-It, a Stericycle Company

This company delivered a bin to my house for me to fill with important papers so I didn't have to take them with me when I moved from ******** to *******. They told me the cost would be $82 total instead it turned out to be $182 which I paid. I received a confirmation receipt for my payment. Now for the past months, I have been receiving calls asking for payment and last an email threatening to send me to a collection agency. I have spoken to them and sent them a copy of the receipt. Come to find out they got new software that doesn't track or account for older receipts after a merger. I would recommend never to use this company unless you want to pay more than you agreed to and then be harassed after you paid because they got new software.Shred-It, a Stericycle Company

Use #IronMountain. Stay clear of Shred-it! They billed us after we canceled their services. We have yet to get any documentation on the cancelation (after 5 months, 20 phone calls, 10 emails and 1 social media post.) You've been warned...Review fromRenee H

I would strongly suggest going ANYWHERE but this company for your shredding needs. I've used them in the past but prior to being owned by Stericycle. When i contacted them i was told everythign would be done on line and that i'd need to fill out a document to pay by credit card. Once that was completed it went downhill. I received a confirmation e-mail stating there would be follow up e-mails allowing me to create an account and schedule delivery. The customer number on that confirmation was blank and there were no follow-up e-mails to schedule delivery - zero communication. Two weeks later we receive 2 dumpsters without communication or notice. Before we could fill them i was called out of a meeting and told they were here again to replace the dumpsters...2 new ones and wanted to pick up the old ones. Still no communication with this company. I only wanted 2 and they weren't yet full. It appears someone got my credit card number and just automatically put us on an auto order. I sent those away and now cannot get in touch with anyone there to pick up the ones we have. Waiting to see what happens with billing. There is nothing I can say that would be different from all prior complaints. We had a call center call yesterday saying we owed money *** said I'm not paying a July invoice when they never picked up. They came during a lunch hour and used the drivers initials that they were here.Can NEVER get in touch with the company. Just got a bill for Dec and we were closed the day they came. Would pay to give zero stars. Awful experience with this company. The call center has some very nice and patient service agents, but IMPOSSIBLE to speak with anyone that can actually make something happen. The poor scheduling/communication, predatory practices/billing, absolute garbage operational service, and blatant refusal to correct their mistakes is insulting and, honestly, gross. I'm complaining in behalf of my mom and would leave less stars if I could, she has been with Shred-It for 10+ years and she has had issues for the last couple, she got over charged, she's gotten told that she still owes money when all of her records indicate that she has paid every invoice, she was just told that she is under contract which couldn't be possible considering that she never signed a contract, so how is it that she could be under contract that she is completely unaware of and never signed. This company is completely not fair and apparently ********** people under contract without them knowing. She was just told that a person that has never ever been an employee here or had anything to do with her agency signed the contract. She will be switching shredding companies due to this issue and she will never ever use your services ever again.Shred-It, a Stericycle Company
