      Had Shred It pick up some paper to recycle last Spring. When I made the arrangements we discussed a hard drive. They were very unreliable keeping pick up appointments. I waited one day and when they did not show I called. This was about my third scheduled time. When I called to see where they were they had skipped my stop and would not return. Because they were so unreliable, when they did arrive I did not trust giving them a hard drive. Since then I have been constantly harassed for payment to destroy a hard drive. We have called and talked to Shred It three times but the calls continue. I have had two calls in the last two days. Wish I had read reviews. I would never have used Shred It and never will again.

      RUN from this company!! I have been trying to add a new location to my existing account since September, it is now March. 10 calls at least and no resolution. I'm taking my business elsewhere. Horrible company. 0 stars

      If I could give no stars I most definitely would! DON'T deal with this company - very poor service. Charges but not able to provide the proof of service. It took months to deal with billing issues, double billed and no proof of service. I cancelled my account which took several calls to the *****# and multiple REF#'s. I had to call them back to deal with them removing the console from our property, this took them over a month to pick it up. I just received an invoice to pay them $92.96 to pick up their console!!!!!!!!!!!!DON'T SIGN UP WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!!

      I agree with the other customers. Do not use this company.I signed up for a one-time service and was billed and my CC automatically charged for a service that was never provided. I got the errouneous bill (12/18/22) and contacted them immediately to attempt to resolve and set a date for the actual service to take place. They finally came to do the actual service (2/18/23) and billed and automatically charged my CC again with no adjustment/credit for my previous errouneous pmt. Long story short, I have been trying to get a credit for the errouneous bill/charge for months now with no luck. Today (3/15/23), I was told by my account rep that it is out of her hands and that I should dispute the CC charge. Really? Also, I signed up for an offsite service where they were to take the boxes with all the papers and handle everything offsite. The day of the actual service they sent the wrong truck and had to do it here on site which wouldn't have been a big deal if they took the empty trash boxes with them when they finished. It was pouring down rain that day and I had to be bothered with breaking down and disposing all the boxes. I am asking that my CC be refunded ASAP for the erroneous charge of $307.97.

      HORRIBLE customer service. The man who came to pick up our shred pile was extremely nice and help full. However he left a bin here of the Shred-it company, with another persons stuff to be shredded in our basement. It took 3 calls so far, no manager would get on the phone or call back, and the bin is still in our basement a month later. Will not use again!!

      Shred- It schedules your pick up date and then shows up a day early with no notification. Then when you reach out to them about this they can't schedule a new pick up because the local office has to do that but we the customers can't have contact wit the local office. on top of that they invoice you for the service on the unscheduled day and the office was closed. I specifically schedule for a certain day of the week as i know i am in the office that day. i will be finding anew comp[any as soon as tax season is over.

      Ater cancelling, via email, a request to have medical records shredded, and having my request for canellation acknowledged by email, and receiving another message from Shred-It that their "truck driver would not be coming for a pickup", I was billed about a year later for $780, and told that I would be turned over to a collections agency.I responded to their first request, providing copies of emails documenting cancellation of the service request, as well as their emailed acknowledgement of my canellation request. I again received another notice to pay them for never-delivered services. I responded to their 2nd request with the same documentation, this time by registered mail, at a cost to me of $47.80.I advise anyone considering medical records shredding services to TAKE SHREDI-IT (****** outlet) OFF THEIR LIST and consider other vendors such as Shred360 from whom I did receive and pay for excellent shredding services (I received signed invoices from them for both visits to my office, with each invoice noting my payments to them.)

      RUN FROM THIS COMPANY!!!If I could give no star I wouldWe had service with this company already setup when I arrived when we tried to decrease the amount of consoles used they upped the charges to equal close to what we were already paying found another company with no hidden charges a flat fee locally owned for much cheaper. Canceled and waiting a month for pickup of 12 consoles then they tried to charge us $300 and an $80 fuel charge to pickup their consoles I wont pay it!!! It wasnt in the contract they are SCAMMING people DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

      This is an awful company to work with - spend the extra money and go anywhere else. They cannot figure out how to set up multiple accounts correctly, they often continue to mess up routes for our multiple locations. They never brought a key to my location, then when we needed it, they told us they will charge us $50.00 for the key they never brought to my location to begin with. I'm on my 5th call to get this particular issue resolved and it still is not resolved. When you call their call center, be prepared to spend more time on hold than actually speaking with anyone and every single time you call, despite giving them your site/acct # at the beginning of the call, you will have to provide it multiple times as well as every piece of contact information linked with your account, which is the most time you'll actually spend talking to any of their reps. ** and also be prepared for them to disconnect the call on you multiple times so you have to keep calling back.

      I paid to have a one time service done last month. I was charged a fee of 180 dollars I believe for one xl box of papers. They came got the papers etc. I was sent an invoice for 230 plus dollars this morning! These scammers apparently put me on a reoccurring charge for a one time charge ? I will call my credit card company and block this company. Worse company. Do not use ! Ill never reccomend this company for any reason, to anyone ! I do not need these types of unnecessary issues in my day to day life. Shame on you shred it for exploiting customers .
