Worst company ever. I paid **** for policy and when a lifter went bad and damaged the motor they played games and jerked me and the shop owner around for months. Never paid a dime of the **** to fix it. Never use them it's a scam.GWC Warranty

When I purchased a car in September, I paid for a year subscription to the warranty company. My cars transmission went out 2 weeks after the purchase. I reach out to the warranty company to cover the cost of the transmission. Instead they sent the mechanic a used transmission. The transmission they sent was not in working condition and the mechanic informed them of that. They stated they will not send another working transmission. We are having to come out of pocket even more for the mechanic to purchase parts to get the transmission they sent working. Our car has been in the shop for over a month now. I will never do business with them again.GWC Warranty

DO not do business with this company. My car broke down on July 27th, 2023, and it is now September 11, 2023. My car is still sitting in the garage and the engine they sent to replace my old one, to quote the mechanic, "It looked like someone used a hammer and a crowbar to take it out of the old car." They've spent the last two weeks "reviewing their options".Review fromAllen W

They are the biggest rip I have ever seen. I took my car to the shop and was toll I need a engine rebuild I payed **** out of pocket to have the engine tore down and was toll I would get my money back if it was a covered repair and it was so they decided to rebuild the motor but dont cover screws bolts and different hardware. How are you going to rebuild a motor without that stuff. What a rip offReview fromMary S

I would give zero stars if I could. In April 2022 we bought a used vehicle and paid for a GWC warranty. My vehicle has been serviced regularly since I bought it. I started having transmission problems so I took it to the only place I could find in two counties that accepts their warranty. My vehicle has been sitting in the shop for a week because the adjuster wont give permission for them to check it out or fix it. I called the gwc and was told my claim will most likely be denied for lack of service records. Really?! So I basically paid $2,540 for a warranty that claims to cover whats wrong with my vehicle for them to basically tell me theyre not gonna do what they claimed they would if something like this happened to my vehicle. I was told by the person I spoke to that I cant call GWC directly I have to go through the adjuster after asking for a direct number to the company. If you are offered any of GWCs warrantys Do Not Buy It!!! They Will not refund your money even though they will not honor the warranty you paid for. I have tried to get my money back and they will not refund it. There needs to be a class action lawsuit against GWC. I would definitely add my name to it if it ever happens.Review fromDanielle M

In June of 2022, We bought a used vehicle with a 90 day, **** mile Power Train warranty. We took impeccable care of the vehicle while in our ownership. (Less than 90 days) Prior to the expiration of the warranty the engine failed. This should be covered by ***. We have great maintenance records from our short time of ownership. The Adjuster denied the claim due to "lack of maintenance". There was not a lack of maintenance on our part, we have receipts and notes of the 2 shops we took the car to, for review and check **** We spent $1663.45 to change the cabin air filter, engine air filter, flush the brake fluids, service the rear brakes and *****/drums, mount and balance 4 new tires, as well as remove and replace some of the sensors. All fluids were reviewed at this time and were in good order, per the report. In early August, we took the car to the dealership for a full repair of the recalls pending. They replaced the catalytic converter, upgraded the manifold catalytic, changed the gasket exhaust, and did a "walk around/multi point inspection"Our daughter only drove the vehicle for a matter of 1 week+ before the engine locked up. We are currently over $12,000 in costs for a non-working vehicle that was sold to us with a GWC warranty. The Powertrain Plus warranty was included on this used vehicle and was noted to cover the engine. *** should honor the warranty that was included. If *** is willing to slap a "warranty" on a used vehicle they should assume some liability that it is a used vehicle with over ******* miles.I called to check into the appeals process and after I was on hold for **************************************************************************************************************************** to section N of the *** agreement for a dispute. Section N of the *** contract states to settle this by means of arbitration. No recourse, no appeal. If you don't agree you have to pay a lawyer.Review fromBrian B

They are a ripoff dont have a problem with collecting people hard earned money but when its time for them to take care of they part of the process its the contract stays my truck was at the dealer shop almost a month it took the warranty company 5 days to get my transmission and they only cover 5 days of rental then was told my transmission been ship out some how it was miss placed had to come out of pocket with 2weeks of a rental car because my truck was not started on due to the dealer ship not knowing my transmission was in I would like to be reimbursed if possibleReview fromMichael S

So far I am writing this hopefully to get a faster response from them. They may be working on it. I have the comprehensive warranty. The first claim I have had was today. I took it to the shop yesterday. The shop I took it to was on the list of preferred shops. Im supposed to be having my water pump replaced and it is a covered part. However the shop wants to charge $1300 more than the warranty is willing to pay out. I felt like a shop on a list of preferred shops would have worked the best with the warranty not charge more. It turns out the list of preferred shops has nothing to do with how good a shop is and has nothing to do with the warranty company having a deal with the shop. It just means that someone has taken their car to that shop and they have taken the warranty as at least partial payment. I would get it if I was going to a shop of my choice but I feel like this shop was essentially recommended by GWC. I have worked with warranty companies before and know that there can be a charge over what they are willing to pay if you were to take it to a dealership or a shop that wasnt recommended by them. I just feel the warranty should pay the rest of what is being charged to me for the confusion.Review fromSamantha M

This company is far from reputable. I purchased a used vehicle, which came with the option to purchase the GWC warranty. I have had issues purchasing used cars before, so I bought the extended warranty offered. I starting having issues with my air conditioning- which is covered by this warranty. There are no shops local to me who have worked with this company before. I took it to my local GMC dealership who was willing to do the legwork to work with this company. After a week of calling they still cannot get in touch with a representative to start the claim. When I call them to try and mitigate this issue, they claim they have long wait times on the adjuster side. My mechanic has sat on hold for hours waiting to be assisted. As he waits the queue time continues to increase instead of decrease. It is my belief that they purposefully exaggerate the wait times to thwart claims from being submitted. The mechanic at the dealership was kind enough to forgo charging me the money that was owed for diagnostics. He apologized profusely for the time I was out of a vehicle - despite it not being his failure. This company is predatory and takes advantage of consumers by denying access to file claims for warranty work.
