    FAKE WEBSITE. Not the real Efile.com website and will charge yoiu $25. Even worse, the site is so poorly coded you have to fill everythng out multiple times, especially the real personal stuff.Very scary, I have no idea if my identity has just been stolen,

    It looks like you were attempting to prepare a tax extension with us. We do charge a fee for this software, however, all extension software purchases include free software to file your tax return on E-file.com anytime before October 16th. This is up to an $80 value. As for the confusion you had between our website and another tax software provider, this was certainly not our intent. It's possible that your internet browser or anti-virus program may have blocked you from finding or visiting the other website that you mentioned in your post. Just one week prior to you visiting E-file.com, there were several news stories about the website that you referenced, claiming they were serving malware to users/visitors.     I am very sorry for the difficulty you have had with this. It looks like you reached out to our support team 10 times for assistance. Each time we responded, trying to provide you with assistance. It appears that you are double reporting your income and weve advised you on how to correct this. In the case of your ************** return, this was rejected for incorrect prior year PIN, this is what the state is using to verify your identity. We have provided you with directions on how to correct this. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need any further assistance.

    That is all true but every time I followed your directions it still would not update. Your directions did not fix the problem and there was no way to entirely delete the tax form to begin again. You should attempt to follow your provided directions and realize that your responses are incorrect.I want to be able to publicly leave feedback for other consumers which as far as I can tell is not possible and leaves me even more skeptical of e-file.

    Tracking says refund sent 3/10. Bank says no it wasn't received. What is the next step?

    This is not a complaint or comment about E-file.com. This should not have been posted here. Apparently, this individual had a banking issue and rather than contact us, their bank or the *** for advice on what to do next, they posted this question on the BBB. This individual never contacted us for support, however, when we were notified of this post the following information was sent to them:"Hello, We received a notice regarding a complaint that you left with the BBB. It sounds like you are frustrated that your bank did not credit your refund to your account. I certainly understand your frustration with this. Now, please note, we are not part of the ***, nor are we part of your financial institution, we can not influence your bank to properly credit your tax refund (nor can any other tax software provider). We simply provided you with free tax software to help you prepare your income tax return. Now, with that said, here are the next steps we would suggest taking:a. Verify the banking information on your return 1. To verify the banking information listed on your accepted return, log in to your account and select the "Print" button on the My Account page. Select the federal return as the return you would like to print. This will open a PDF of your accepted return for you.b. On your ****, there will be a section for 'refund,' which is where you will see your banking information listed (lines 35b-d).a. Check your bank statement - it appears that your refund is $100 and it is set up to go to a savings account. b. ******** may have refused the deposit so check with the bank again for any deposit attempts within a 5 day period around March 5th c. Call the *** at ************ and use the automated system or call ************ to speak with an agent to track/report the refund as missing d. *** website: Your claim for a missing refund is processed one of two ways:1. If the check wasn't cashed, you'll receive a replacement check once the original check is canceled.2. If the refund check was cashed, the Bureau of the ************** (***) will provide you with a claim package that includes a copy of the cashed check. Follow the instructions for completing the claim package. *** will review your claim and the signature on the canceled check before determining whether they can issue you a replacement check. The *** review can take up to six weeks to complete.Again, we are very sorry that you ran into this issue with your bank. If you feel that we have addressed your concerns and you wish to revise the review that you left, that would be great. Please let us know if you need any further assistance. Sincerely,E-file Customer Care"This individual has not responded back to this message, nor have they taken any action to revise or remove this question from here. We provided them with software to file their return completely free of charge, when they posted a question to a third-party website we went out of our way to try and assist them with this issue.

    I have been using Efile for 4years and they have filed my state return.This year things didn't look right so I took it to a tax preparer and found out they entered pension money and I owed over $300.I live in ************ and pensions aren't taxed went over the last 4 filings and they were doing the sme thing called and the girl told me that they weren't professional tax people thats good to know and I will not be using EFILE AGAIN IT ENDED up costing me $400 dollars that I could use.

    I am very sorry for any confusion with this. The ********************* does not tax certain retirement benefits distributed from eligible employer-sponsored retirement plans. However, since the state's law does not apply to all retirement benefits, the taxpayer needs to deduct the retirement income when it is non-taxable. I am very sorry if you feel this was not made clear to you in our online software. We would be happy to offer you free software to prepare an amended return and assist you with any questions that you may still have.
