    I had used TurboTax in the past, but noticed things had changed when I filed last year with them. So I decided to switch to E-File this year. I wish I had switched or even used E-File earlier. Very easy to use and free if filing a normal ****. I'm sold and will continue using E-File going forward.

    I didnt know I didnt need to file my state tax. I assumed that I had to when they asked. Then I figured it out. I only had SS to report as income and I didnt need to file state. Now they want $39 for doing something that took nothing to do. They knew that and told me after the fact. Such fake advertising!! I dont have the money to pay.

    Our tax software does not make a state filing selection for a user, it asks them if they would like to prepare a state tax return. I am sorry if you had some confusion with this question. It looks like you reached out to our support team regarding this and our support agent responded to you with instructions on how to remove the state filing. It does not look like you proceeded with doing this. For tax filers who need to prepare a state tax return, our regular price is $29.99 (most other tax software programs charge around $50).     The program led me through with clarity. I accidentally put the wrong AGI on my return, and it was rejected. It took me a while to understand how to correct it and refile. Your instructions were a little vague, but I finally got it. Thank you eFile.

    E-file is the simplest and most economical method to file taxes without question. I am 76 years old and have been using them for the last three years, and if I can navigate through the return, using their prompts, then anyone can. And. for being a repeat customer, they gave me a very nice discount this year. Thumbs up.

    This place tells you its free, it is not. I found a simple tax return and was charged $39.95 for my federal return only. Then they want to charge you $39.95 to get a copy of your tax return. Before I could contact them, the *** had already excepted it. It only took 10 minutes. I am very upset being sucked in by this company, false advertisement, and Better Business Bureau wont help you with it. If they wont help you get no help. I wouldve done better buying a turbo tax program. Thanks E-File.com for lying and taking my money. I will be contacting the consumer protection bureau & ***. Dont advertise youre free if youre not.

    I am sorry for the confusion with this. We do offer free federal filing for those who qualify for our basic software, your filing did not qualify because of the form **** which was needed to take advantage of certain tax credits. Now, if you had contacted us with this question prior to transmitting the return, we could have informed you of what caused your filing not to qualify for our basic software and if you had preferred, helped to remove this tax credit so that you could continue to file with our basic free software. With that said, the savings from this credit was considerable and thus why the system upgraded you. In either case, I apologize that you were not able to file using our free software as you intended.
