Where do I start?? There's nothing special about being a Gold member, other than walking directly to your RESERVED car. I RESERVED an SUV for a three day weekend. When I arrived, not only didn't they have my reservation, there were no vehicles left. The entire point of a RESERVATION is that the vehicle I reserved will be available. I attempted to have a conversation with the Hertz desk person, and she told me I could get on a wait list. Long story short, after finally getting a small sedan. the delay caused me to be late for an appointment. My reservation was for an SUV because of a torn hip labrum and driving a cramped ****** for 300 miles was extremely painful and unpleasant. If that wasn't enough, Hertz decided to add insult to injury. I was 40 minutes late in turning in my vehicle due to an accident and they billed me the equivalent of just about a full day of rental. This is a scenario where apologies, giving me points, or whatever doesn't help the situation. A complete lack of focus on the customer and thanks for making this a horrible experience.

I was left with no other option but to rent from Hertz (previously was with another rental that had vehicle issues) and the clerk attempted to charge me almost $3,000 for a 4 day rental which I thought was outrageous but I was desperate and needed to obtain the vehicle. It was apparent after that, that he took advantage of my vulnerability and overcharged me, as apparently these employees get a commission. I attempted to directly call the Hertz airport, but it was a non-working number and if you ****** ************************ Hertz, you can see all the terrible reviews this particular Hertz has with other people getting scammed in different ways as well. I finally spoke to the corporate office at Hertz (the other "customer care" numbers were useless)and they did say that it looked like I was overcharged. When I dropped off the vehicle, they adjusted everything and the total payment ended up being about $1,500 which the lady at this location in ***** said the overcharge could be a mistake (it was not!! Hertz from **************** literally sent me 2 invoices with the $3,000 charges before I took the matter to corporate).

The two front desk working at SeaTac Hertz January 2nd 2025 around 8-9am is very unprofessional. The emotional distress my brother experienced with the two one female and one male is horrible. Nobody should have experienced anything like that. First the lady was just rude and very demeaning. This is my brothers first time renting car and hes not sure how it works so hes asking questions. My brother used Tap to pay for the downpayment and the lady is saying that its not going through but we see on our account that it took out $1 each try. So im not sure whats happening. Second, we tried checking in online instead and received a notification that were checked in and go to the counter to get the car, once my brother when to the counter again, a different agent helped him a male one. Hes telling my brother that hes not seeing check in on his end and to just redo everything at the counter. My brother then asked is there any other way to do the downpayment since using his debit will charge him $500. I know that theres policy and we would definitely comply but my brother just asked just in case since hes not familiar with how it works. The male agent just laughed at his face and repeated my brothers question is there any other way?. If that tiny interaction wouldnt make a person embarrassed and feel messed up then i dont know what else will. I was on the phone with my brother and hearing this whole interaction and that ***** so bad especially when my brother called him out saying why is he laughing because its not a laughing matter but seriously asking. He didnt need to do that to my brother at all but he did. So messed up. I cant believe someone like this is working at a front agent, a job that requires patience and excellent customer service which clearly they dont have. The rude interaction was so unnecessary.

I had been in contact with Hertz for MONTHS regarding a simple ******* wanted to file a formal complaint regarding 2 employees (****** and ****) from their MCO location and online call center, after we were essentially left stranded at the airport, with no rental, forced to find other transportationall because Hertz allowed us to book online with virtual Apple Pay but would not allow us to check in using that SAME Apple Pay or the physical card. Hertz has seen it fit to evade the matter for well over 5 months. They have continuously avoided my recent emails, would try to ask irrelevant questions when on the phone in order to change the subject, and still have not allowed me to file the complaint regarding their employees. All of this is documented. I continued to follow up every week; at first I was told there were no new updates, which soon spiraled into them leaving my emails completely unansweredregardless of how many times I emailed them to follow up. Absolutely disgusting on the part of this business to handle customer issues in this manner, especially after equally horrid treatment from their employees. All because of something that was not our fault. Hertz should not allow customers to book with virtual Apple Pay if they will literally be prevented from checking in and using it upon arrival. We were essentially screwed into payment without receiving any actual rentaluntil we fought for a refund. They also wanted to charge us a cancellation fee because THEIR system would not allow the Apple Pay (after it successfully allowed us to book/pay with it months prior). There are numerous posts and articles online about this as wellso it is an ongoing issue. Do not use. Very sketch behavior and disgusting treatment.

Terrible customer service! I picked up a rental two days ago. First of all the rental was not comparable to my vehicle and does not fit my family size. The car was filthy, interior covered in animal hair, smelt like cigarette and skunk, someone just finished smoking weed in the car, car charging ports don't work, the exterior was FILTHY, kids hands all over windows and car. We have had to stop and air up tire numerous times in two days because the tire is flat. The person who took my reservation didn't bother walking me and my kids out to show us which vehicle we were taking, he handed us the keys and said your car is outside. ?? basically go figure out which one is yours. This place is TRASH. DO NOT RECOMMEND. I will stick to Enterprise. I wish I would've read reviews prior to booking with Hertz.

Off the bat, there is no person to talk to in customer service when things go wrong. We reserved a rental during the busy Christmas travel season two months in advance. When we arrived at the *************** to pick up our vehicle, it had been given to someone else. All cars were sold out, even though we prepaid. There was one rental left that was a new return. We reserved a SUV. We were given this smelly, base, *****************. It was scratched all over, had a film on the windows we couldn't get off, and made noises when we drove it. Staff at the airport is a joke. Rude, not helpful, avoid eye contact, don't care. We will never use Hertz again. It was a terrible experience.

They pulled funds from my card twice and then blamed me FOR ALLOWING IT TO HAPPEN when I called to dispute the extra charge. They refunded $40 less than what I was owed. HORRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICE AND NO INTEGRITY. NEVER AGAIN.

On 1/12/2024 I rented a vehicle from Hertz at Salt Lake International Airport. I drove the car to Ogden to attend a funeral on 1/13/2024 and returned the vehicle 26 hours later at Salt Lake International. The receipt I got indicated I returned on 1/13/2024 with amount charged on the rental. On 1/31/2024, Hertz sent me an e mail asking me to click a "insurance link". I thought this was a scam for I returned the vehicle withouth any incident. Hertz first dated the incident report as 1/15/2024 which I pointed out that was not during my rental period. By 1/31/2024, Hertz sent me a letter indicating I owe $4,439.55. I contacted Hertz asking for a date stamped vehicle showing the damage and also an estimate of the repair and heard nothing. By 7/31/2024, Viking Client Sevices sent me a collection letter regarding the same. By now, I turned to Farmers Insuance who is my insurance carrier to assist. So far they have not seen any proof of the damage and estimate from Hertz. 11/25/2024, Viking sent a second collection letter. This is completely harrasement from my perspective and public needs to know Hertz practice of fraudulent claims on vehicle damages.

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with the service I received at Hertz location on Roswell-Alpharetta Highway. As a new Gold Member, I had high expectations for a smooth and reliable rental experience. Unfortunately, my first reservation with Hertz has left me disheartened and questioning the value of my membership. I reserved a midsize SUV for seven days, with a scheduled pick-up on 12/24/2024 at 12 PM. I arrived early, at 11:45 AM, prepared to begin my journey, only to encounter an unprofessional, disorganized, and utterly unacceptable situation. Issues Encountered: Unkempt Facility: The location was visibly unclean, which did not inspire confidence or reflect the premium service Hertz promotes. Vehicle Unavailability: Mr. Stanley informed me that the reserved midsize SUV was unavailable and only offered a pickup truck as an alternative. A pickup truck was entirely unsuitable for my family's planned vacation, and no other options were provided. Abrupt Reservation Cancellation: When I expressed my concerns about the pickup truck, Mr. Mike took it upon himself to cancel it. However, I received no notification or update about this cancellation, leaving me confused for alternatives. This situation has jeopardized our family’s year-end vacation and caused immense stress and inconvenience. As a new Gold Member, I am appalled by the lack of professionalism, communication, and customer-centric service I have experienced. This is not the standard of excellence I associated with Hertz when choosing to entrust my travel needs to your company. I demand a thorough investigation and an immediate explanation for this incident. This experience has shattered my confidence in Hertz’s reliability and commitment to customer satisfaction. I hope for a swift resolution and assurances that such lapses will not reoccur any other customer in the future. Sincerely, Ahmed Hertz Gold Member ID: ******** Reservation Number: ***********
