      I rented from Hertz only because they had the specific vehicle we needed. The car was fine, but the experience was anything but.Despite paying in advance, we were hit with hidden fees and unexpected charges after the fact. Worse, Hertz held onto our funds for an unreasonable amount of time, with no clear answers or urgency in releasing them. **************** was rude, dismissive, and unhelpful, making the entire process unnecessarily difficult. And lets be honestthere was an uncomfortable undertone in how we were treated.Hertz, this is unacceptable. Holding onto peoples money, adding surprise charges, and treating customers with disrespect is not how a reputable company should operate. The right car isnt worth the wrong experience.       I reserved a vehicle on 2/25 from the I65 Service Mobile Al got confirmation all of the text email updates upon arriving there after flying 16 hours and got a check in notification as I was headed there, Angela then told me that they no cars available but see my reservation and they’ve don’t have anything or any cars left. She was very very rude and I asked for a manger she replied We are all managers and that they had no cars regardless if it’s reserved or not. The thing is I was not contacted through no source to let me know therefore I was stuck there to Uber to a hotel & still no vehicle I am writing with expectations that someone will contact me expeditiously to resolve this. I’ve never had a experience so heartbreaking

      I was charged $400 for cat hairs in the car. They said it was because of that and they are too lazy and too dumb to clean it. So they need to hire someone else to clean. Scam of a company. Will never use them again f*** Hertz.

      I have been a Hertz customer for over 30 years. I have never had an issue until my last experience, when I rented a car from 8-14 February 2025. I rented a car from ********************* on Feb 8, went straight to *** VT, spent the week there and returned the car on Feb 14 at the same airport. I never took any toll roads during my stay. There are no toll roads in rural *******. Six days after I returned the car, on Feb 20, I was charged an extra $59.95 on my credit card for using toll roads. I never took any toll roads, but Hertz insists that I did. My return invoice even shows that I only put 235 miles during the time of my rental, which would make it impossible to even go close to a toll road. What Hertz is doing is fraud and Im very disappointed by the way they treat loyal customers like me. Its not about the amount, but about the principle. Companies who have customers at heart dont act like this. Its very disappointing, dishonest, and disrespectful. Shame on Hertz.

      Had a reservation. When I arrived I was told they have no cars despite having a reservation. Wasted energy and resources getting there just to be told no car. *** why customer service could not have called prior to my arrival, gave me a discount or arranged transportation to a location with a vehicle. But nope, 0 customer service, consideration or effort

      Hertz provided horrible service when I rented a car for my mothers funeral. I will never do business with Hertz in the future and will actively dissuade friends and acquaintances from giving any money to Hertz.I intended to use the car to transport me, my wife, my four grown children, and my son-in-law (seven people) between the airport, hotel, funeral home, and my brothers house.I paid $445 for reliable transportation between the morning of 14 February 2025 and the evening of 15 February 2025. Hertz failed to deliver on their end of the bargain and presented me with unacceptable options when their vehicle failed.After the visiting hours, the car failed to start. We were able to walk (in 20-degree temperatures, on icy sidewalks and roads) to my brothers house.I called Hertz Roadside Assistance. Clearly we had an unreliable car. What should have happened is for Hertz to drive a replacement vehicle to us and take the previous one away.Instead, Roadside Assistance offered to send AAA to jump-start the car. To get a replacement, I would have to drive the car back to the rental agency at the airport, get a replacement, then drive back to where we were staying.I explained that this was unacceptable. Instead of taking responsibility, Hertz was pushing their problem back on me, asking me to take at least an hour out of a time of family grieving to address Hertzs failure that was in no way my responsibility.We tried at least five phone numbers, all of which led to the same endless phone menus and were a complete waste of time.I should have been spending that time with my family, grieving my mothers loss, but instead I was angry and aggravated with Hertz for failing to deliver what I paid for.We got through the rest of the trip with the same car. Sometimes it would start, and sometimes it wouldnt, adding stress to an already stressful situation.Shame on you, Hertz. You cannot succeed as a business if you treat customers like this.

      1. My first car here was an electric car that would not charge. I called customer service and then had to drive to the Airport Hertz to replace it. I was told by the Airport Hertz that this was due to weather and that the Independence Hertz would have known this. So they gave me a car they knew wouldn't work.2. The replacement rental the Airport Hertz rented me needed an oil change, which the Independence Hertz told me the Airport Hertz would've known this.3. I had to do a new rental because the card I originally used was stolen. A. Absolutely ridiculous that there's no way to just update the card on file. B. The second rental is almost $100 more a week, and the man at the counter did not explain why. This transaction also took FORTY ********** compensation has been offered despite receiving TWO cars from this company that had problems. Just go to Enterprise.
