      I had the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had with hertz in downtown Denver. After confirming on the phone they close at 5, we arrived at 12:10 to find the doors locked and a sign they close at noon. After knocking on the door, three employees came out on their way home and attempted to ignore us. We asked how they could help, and a woman named Monica responded that she didn’t care, wanted to go home, and would call the police if we didn’t leave. She also commented that “as silver citizens, we should be more respectful” to her. I assume she was referring to her age. It was absolutely shocking, and I would never use hertz again.

      Hertz of St ****** **************. Very poor service. Cars are NOT safe to be driven on the road. Bald tires, steel belts worn out and torn. They will rip you off. Charged $400+ for a one day rental.

      I rented from Savannah/Hilton Head Intl Airport (SAV), GA. I returned vehicle on time and key to front desk. I have been charged a one day late fee. When I called to complain, the woman said she didn't have time for me and that she'd return my call after she "had time for an investigation". I called back later and the woman said she remembered me and didn't have time to investigate. Its been 3 weeks and no return phone call.. ( If I could leave zero stars, I would.)

      Very bad experience. It took 50 minutes to clear the paperwork Eventhough I booked online the service. Their insurance was very very expensive. Even the car seat they charge $13.99 / day. AC was not working. Key had no battery for the the first car I wanted to rent... Totally upset with service...never ever use this company anymore.

      I rented a vehicle on Friday Aug 12, 2022 to Thursday Aug 18,2022 which I had prepaid for online. When I went to pick up vehicle they told me they needed a major credit to hold, even though I prepaid for my vehicle, so I did and before returning my rental I went across to Wawa and filled up my gas. I did not receive a receipt until August 29, 2022 which on receipt stated they was charging my card 98.65 for fuel. I did not keep my fuel receipt since it was 10 days later but I did file a claim and submit them my bank statement which I used my card for gas that day, I still haven’t received my money that was charged for fuel, and I keep getting the run around with Hertz Management. I will never rent from Hertz again, never had this happen to me with any other rental service. I’m still looking and waiting for my refund.

      The service in which I received from the Hertz rental brand will hands down go down as most horrendous and upsetting experience in which I ever encountered during my many years of traveling. I would rather use another company or walk a 100 mile trip before booking a rental from Hertz, Dollar, or Thrifty! First of all, I made a prepaid reservation for the ATL airport. When my flight arrived, I was greeted to stand in 2hr a line even though I arrived 10 mins prior to my 9:30pm reservation. Due to the lack of service reps working the front counter ( 3 people), I finally made it to front after 3 hours. At this point, it was 12:30 am. Within an additional 45 minutes of waiting for my car ( that I fully paid for and have a hold on my credit card). The operation manager made a loud announcement there will be an additional 3-4 hours wait to get everyone who has paid an available car, because we ran out of cars an not enough employees to pick up the cars and bring them to our location, you can get a refund or come back in the morning to pick up the car. At this point I am frustrated and exhausted from my day of flying. Icing on the cake, there is no other available rental car companies. I end up calling an Uber and paying almost the cost of my Hertz rental to get to my destination. The next morning, I called customer service to confirm if my vehicle is available. The rep on the phone was honestly rude showed no signs empathy. And again, that is to be expected from over sea customer service. The rep on stated to me your car is available for pick up and I will transfer for complaint to my department which honestly sounds like BS. I now have to pay another Uber ride to pick up the car that I already paid for in full. So now, Hertz has my funds / product and I have to pay to pickup something that I shouldve had when I arrived at the airport. Here is the best part SMH. When I arrive the next morning at the airport to pick up the confirmed car, the rep the counter tells m

      It was the worst experience ever to deal with this scammer company i picked up a rental car from hertz and Im not a smoker i never smoked inside the car they charged me 488$ from my credit card cause as they said its a smoke smell if theres less than 1 start i will give those scammer

      I reserved my rental online. Upon arrival to the *** location, the representative was very pushy and wanted me to upgrade my rental and add on additional insurances. I told him I did not want to upgrade anything and did not want/need any additional options. The rep. said there was a refundable deposit being charged to my CC that would be refunded once the rental was returned. I walked away from that experience feeling like the guy was very pushy trying to upgrade, as if he was making a commission. After returning the rental, I received an email stating we were going to be charged an additional $170 for two add-ons that were added. These add-ons were the ones that the sales rep was trying to get me to sign up for. The sale rep added these extra charges even tho I told him I did not want them. This was extremely upsetting. I called the Hertz customer service to report the issue. I was told that I needed to contact the local office to file a complaint and get a refund. The customer service rep provided a phone number but it is not possible to get passed the menu options and speak with a human. I had to call corporate. Corporate said they had to "request" a refund via email to the local office and that it could take 10 business days to get a response. Based on how pushy the guy at the counter was, I'm willing to be he makes some kind of commission off "upgrades". I believe he knowingly signed me up for these charges even tho I declined them to get some kind of compensation. Is this guy is willing to do this to someone like me, then I'm willing to bet he is doing it to lots of people. Very shady. And to make matters worse, you can't even call anyone to take care of the issues. I will be doing a charge back on my credit card if this isn't sorted out.

      Horrible customer service. Was told I could return car early if not needed. I returned car 2 days early but was charged for the full 7 day week that I reserved. I called customer service they said too bad. U reserved for a week so I gotta pay. Then I said ok I'll be in to pick up car for my 2days I paid for they said no, that's not how it works. Hertz is a scam artist company.
