      My car broke down with my 1 yr old and daughter. We were on vacation with the car packed. Hertz would not deliver a car that was equivalent in size. Hertz customer service is the worst Ive ever experienced. Im not sure how I will put all of my belongings ha in the vehicle theyre delivering.Ive had trouble get a hotel room because they could r deliver a car for over 8 hours. I would never rent a car from this company

      Had a reservation for more than two months. Called me two days before I was supposed to pick up the vehicle stating it's not available and they were going to have to give me a different vehicle. The vehicle received was not comparable and was dirty. The vehicle experienced mechanical issues, causing me to spend time on my vacation at a mechanics shop. Found out the issues were very dangerous, putting me and my family in danger. Complete neglect on behalf of Hertz to send us out in a dangerous vehicle. Returned the vehicle and they wanted to charge a cleaning fee for pets. Kiss my ***. Tell you our lives were in danger due to your neglect and you respond with additional fees?? Wonder what my attorney is going to say about that!

      DONT USE HERTZ. Although i returned the rental with a full tank of gas, they still charged me for a full tank of gas. THEFT!

      I rented a Ford Explorer SUV at the Saramento Airport Rental Center. Upon returning the vehicle to Hertz, I forgot my leather encased laptop. When I remembered that I left it in the vehicle, I was able to get to the rental center in time to retrieve it prior to getting on my return flight. I was puzzled about the fact that no one from Hertz called or emailed me to tell me that I had left my laptop in the vehicle. When I called Hertz the day I returned from my trip to complain that I was not contacted by Hertz, I was told by the Representative that Hertz employees place any forgotten items in the Lost and Found area and do not contat customers directly. That is an unprofessional business policy. It is poor customer service.

      Showed up on 9/30/22 and Hertz did not have any cars as 5 people with luggage were sitting there doing nothing but waiting. Tried to cancel my res but since it was Priceline im stuck with the same loop of nobody is responsible!! Hertz sold all their cars during Covid and now since we have a chip shortage they are out of cars. They didnt even call me to let me know so you'll show up for nothing!

      Hertz Cancellation website email: Unfulfilled reservation Dear Hertz I made a reservation for an SUV rental in ****** starting Fri 02 September 2022 02:00 PM until the following Tuesday. On that Friday morning I received a call from the Rental location (**** *******************, ******, ** *****) telling me that my reservation had been cancelled. When I asked why they told me that they had accepted rental extensions for previous rentals. When I tried to clarify why they extended other reservations knowing full well that my rental was scheduled they had no response other than it was just unfortunate and then proceeded to see if I would like to be placed on a waiting list. When I said that they should honor the rental that was scheduled they hung up on me. After trying to call them back 10 times I gave up. I am writing this letter to you to lodge a complaint over the horrible service that I received from your location here in ******. I am also requesting that you contact this location and deal with their inappropriate actions. As a result of their atrocious behavior my holiday vacation with my family was ruined. It has been 2 weeks since that episode and I am still outraged and disgusted with your service at that location. Since that time I have rented 2 times from other companies and will not use Hertz until they get this resolved. I am filing a complaint with the BBB and reviewing this location's actions at both local and national websites. This should never have happened. I am hoping that through these actions Hertz will ensure that it does not happen again. Sincerely *******

      I rented a 7 PAX vehicle less than 24 hrs ago, and the battery died this morning. I request emergency roadside assistance and they jumped it and had me go exchange it at the franchised HERTZ rental center at the airport. That’s the good part. Upon arriving, a female attendant approached with a very negative attitude holding her hands out for the keys, not asking who I was, why I was there, or remotely caring about what the issue was. She was seemingly upset to even have to step out the office. She locked my personable belongings in the car and proceeded to the male attendant without acknowledging me at all (again). The male attendant initially said there was nothing he could do, then offered me a mid-size sedan cheaper (and insufficient for my passenger punt) than the larger suv I paid for. It was a difficult process until I mentioned that I needed a number for the main office or franchise manager. Suddenly, another 7 PAX became available shortly thereafter (it was already in the lot). He was not the problem here though, and he made it right. The lady working between 7-8 am (9.27.22) in that boxed office was. She clearly still had a terrible attitude about everything, didn’t want to open the mechanical arm to let me out, so the guy did. This isn’t about member status or anything. It was about doing the right thing and proper customer service. Would I ever use HERTZ at the OMA airport again? No. Most of their vehicles have med-high mileage (over 60K miles), and again, the lack of decent customer service.

      If I could give Hertz 0 stars I would! The experience we had was horrible! My wife and I were on a business trip and flew into Midway Airport around 9:30 p.m. and went to go pick up our rental car that we had reserved, paid for a month in advance. Before arrival to midway we logged into the Hertz app and confirmed that we were going pick up the car. Upon arriving we were told to go out into the parking lot to pick a car. We do so, and come to find out there were no cars available. When we got up to the customer service desk the agent said he didn't know when a car would become available and suggested we find another alliterative to get to our destination! We asked if there would be a full refund to our card since our reservation wasn't completed. He said, " I don't know call customer service." The rude Hertz representative said, " this happens every weekend!" If you are flying and need to rent a car do not book with Hertz! I expect them to refund all of my money and then some! I think that they need to be sued for over booking and not taking care of "their" customers! Or just close their business. Anyone who works for Hertz should be embarrassed to represent that company!

      I would never rent from this company nor recommend anyone l. Bunch of scammer from sales to customer service. They will add $100 fuel charges without your approval, and regardless of how much you call, they will not process the refund. There is no real supervisors, definitely will stay away from this company.

      I rented a Hertz car in Albuquerque NM. Car was ok until I had a flat tire on a highway. Found the front left tire in awful condition! Extremely worn out and treads were showing! Looked for a jack and guess what? It was broken and unuseable!! In addition, the wheel was badly misaligned. In order to drive straight, the wheel looked like at 30 degrees to the left. Very bad experience. This is not the same Hertz as it was prepandamic. It was the best car rental company.....No more!
