Finally! I highly encourage everyone to NOT purchase from HP. They have terrible customer service & terrible repair service. It took 4 repairs to finally get a working laptop from HP and I had to buy another computer (from one of hp competitors) in the meantime because those 4 repairs took 5 MONTHS! I initially shipped my laptop to hp for a relatively minor issue, but each time, it kept coming back with a new problem. Every time I reached out to hp, they gave me the runaround, hung up on me, etc. It took reporting hp to Better Business Bureau to finally get things sorted out.

The new printers are a nightmare to install and customer service is incompetent. The ********************** Ink Program is a complete scam. They disable the use of 3rd party or refill ink on your printer. How is this allowed? How can you not choose which ink to use once you own your printer? I own mine, I get to make the decision. The sales practices at this place are so wrong.

They over price ink way too much. They have no buissness over me decisions like they forcefully update firmware on the printers so you can't use 3rd party ink cartridges also I had spend 100s of dollars on hp ink but now I can't use the ink becuse apparently it's too old. Stay away from hp printers.

If I could give HP a zero rating I would. I called their customer service for tech support and was on the phone for over an hour trying to figure out why my wifi wouldnt connect. The guy I talked to was incompetent and wanted me to open my lap top, phone, and printer to his disposal. Thinking I called a legimate company in the world of people hacking other people I thought I was being trustworthy.. Well went it got to be a little uncomfortable I know longer felt I could trust this worker for Hp and ended the phone call and removed all physical components he ask me to put on to give access. Low and behold when I got off went onto hp website and their suggestion was to reset up the printer to wifi as if connecting for the first time which I did and wished I had gone that route in the first place. and it worked. I feel it was a security tactic to sell me some kind of hp security program cause the agent told me that my stuff on my devices were accessible to everyone and I knew my wifi was secure and never had any problems. I will no longer buy from Hp again and have had no problems in the past with their printers but I refuse to make an already rich company richer by trying to scam people to buy additional products.

We purchased an ** Office Jet Pro ****e on 7/12/2023 from Office Depot for $169.99. The software would not install and we received an error message instructing us to call the ** tech support at *****-***-**** We spoke with "***************************" and his supervisor ****** (accents indicate they are from *****).We were told the printer had been discontinued, was refurbished (although sold as new), and could not be returned to the store, but they could refund our bank account. They accessed our computer and account to assist with this; when we became uncomfortable with them accessing our bank account, I requested the transaction be cancelled. "***************************" became rude and said it was not possible to cancel the transaction and we needed to continue providing our bank information and computer password. I asked to speak to a supervisor and received ******* who was rude and refused to cancel the transaction. When **** asked me (supposedly on a recorded line): "Are you F***king stupid?" - I disconnected the call. This call was placed at 2:10 pm EDT on 7/13/2023. They refused to disconnect from our computer and threatened us. We will be reporting this via other channels as well and have placed a hold on our bank account.

HP is bricking printers from printing when a customers subscription for instant ink is out of service. A quick ****** search reveals their support centers answer is to purchase non instant ink printer cartridges. A customer could be on this subscription for months, racking more ink than they need, be ONE DAY late due to unforeseen circumstances and not use ink theyve purchased for a year. YOU KNOW AS WELL AS I DO THAT THE POTENTIAL FOR ABUSE FOR THIS IS INCREDIBLE. Hewlett Packard should be condemned for this.

I've had an HP printer for years and it is out of warranty. I don't use it very often, but I currently need it for work.Problem #1: It will not print anything. It sounds like it is printing, but will only spit out blank pages, and the ink cartridge's are new. I removed the cartridge's and they have ink on the bottom. I have only been able to try printing through the small touch screen on the printer itself, which leads me to Problem #2 I do have it connected wirelessly, but neither my computer or their app will connect to the printer. When I try to connect through my computer settings it tells me I do not have the driver installed. Using the app to try and install the drivers it keeps telling me to turn on my printer, but it is on and connected to my network. I was able to do that through the small touch screen on the printer. When I open their app I click "add a printer". It searches and finds my printer, and even tells me it IS online. When I click on it tells me it needs to be turned on or search again. I search again and my printer doesn't show up anymore. Problem #3: When I called their customer service line and got to tech support I was asked if I was part of the automatic ink reorder program. I explained I don't use my printer often but need it for work now. I was told I need to pay them $20 in order for them to help me, because it was out of warranty. This feels like a complete scam unless you pay them regular money to use their product. ABOSUTE CRAP! If you Have read this far PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE their products or you WILL regret it later. Don't say you weren't warned, and if you do...Good luck!

I purchased a laptop in August of 2022. In May of 2023 it stopped turning on. I sent it in to HP to fix it because its still under warranty. They just emailed me a photo of my laptop with a CRACKED SCREEN and said that its not under warranty because it was a customer induced accident. IT WAS NOT CRACKED WHEN I SENT IT IN. They want me to pay $350 to fix it - the laptop itself was only $70 more than that to buy brand new. F HP!! This is insane.

If you sign up for HP's "INSTANT INK", keep the original toner cartridge!I purchased an HP Laserjet printer from Staples for my personal use. It came with a 6 month free trial of HP's Instant Ink plan, which monitors toner usage and sends automatic replacements. II received a replacement cartridge almost immediately, with instructions on returning the original cartridge for recycling. Not explained was that when my free trial expired and I canceled "Instant Ink", my cartridge was immediately disabled. I called tech support and was informed that I could not, in fact, continue using theInstant Ink" cartridge without a subscription. I was instructed to replace it with the original cartridge -- which I had returned for recycling! I told the tech they owed me a cartridge. He consulted and said he could offer 3 more months free, or I could buy a cartridge. I said they had tricked me and owed me a cartridge. They finally agreed after I said the magic words "Better Business Bureau."So, my advice is, KEEP THE ORIGINAL CARTRIDGE! You can return it for recycling, if you like, once you've decided to keep the Instant Ink subscription. I printed fewer than 100 pages in six months so I did not need Instant Ink. HP, of course, ought to explain that to its victims, er, customers.

I purchased a HP Smart Tank **** series printer at the Best Buys store in *********, **********. I was not able to set up the printer from the instructions that were in the booklet Hp provided for installing the printer to my Apple iPad. I called Hewlett-Packard customer service and they gave me a number to call to get help. I called and reached a recording that asked me for information which I provided. The recording kept repeating itself. I was never able to speak to a live person. I recalled Hewlett-Packard and unfortunately I was not offered any help. I was just given again the same number I had called. I then called Best Buy the store I bought the printer from and they informed me I had to pay $49 dollars to get help from Geek Squad. If I would have known that I was not going to get any help from Hewlett-Packard to install the printer, I would have never bought it. The same goes for the store Best Buy. The only way to get help from them to install was to pay for it. If they are selling a product to a person, I feel they should inform the person they will be charged if the person needs help with the product.
