To Whom It May Concern,I am writing to file a complaint against Riot Games for the permanent suspension of my account. I believe the decision was unfair and excessively harsh, given the circumstances.1. Background I have been a loyal player and supporter of Riot Games for 10 years, spending considerable time and over $5000 on their games. Recently, my account was banned for allegedly exploiting a gameplay bug.2. Circumstances The bug I encountered was not immediately recognizable as an exploit. It involved standard gameplay mechanics, and at no point did it feel like I was intentionally circumventing the rules. Upon learning through unofficial channels that the interaction was deemed a bug, I ceased using it immediately. However, I was still permanently banned.Whats most frustrating is that Riot Games announced the bug only on ******* and not through official in-game channels. Players cannot be expected to monitor social media platforms daily to stay updated on bugs or exploits that could result in a permanent ban. Effective communication through in-game notifications or client messages would have ensured players were informed. Many casual players, unaware of any wrongdoing, and have now lost access to accounts built over *************** discussions have highlighted frustrations with this decision, as other interactions that caused significant balance issues did not result in similar punishments. Riots lack of consistency in enforcement and its failure to communicate effectively contribute to the sense of unfairness in this situation.3. Impact and Desired Resolution This ban resulted in the loss of my account and the associated purchases, amounting to hundreds of dollars. I respectfully request Riot Games reconsider the ban or provide a refund for my in-game *********** a loyal player, I believe this decision is disproportionate and undermines trust between Riot Games and its community. I have spent hundreds of hours and hundreds of dollars, and they have falsely banned my account and their response was "Just make another account if you want to play." This proves that they do not believe themselves that I should be banned, and just want me to spend more money on another account. Because of this I am looking for a refund for every cent I have spent with them. They have set my account to no longer be able to submit support tickets with them and were being extremely rude to me back when I was able to submit tickets. I have an account under the name of RyuFreeman where I was wrongfully banned and denied the services from this company. I have spent hundreds on this game and wish to either receive a refund or my account's ban to be appealed. I was banned due to having a "third party advantage" in which I did not have. When I attempted to rectify this issue, the company failed to allow the appeal and closed my ticket as I informed them that this can be rectified with them or rectified through the BBB. The company instantly closed the support ticket I had with them since the considered the BBB a "legal action" and refused to speak with me further. Furthermore, I have multiple eye witnesses that have seen my gameplay within the Riot Games client games that can confirm that I was not using a "third party advantage". At the time that I was banned, I was clicking through the characters rapidly, called agents, waiting for my friends to pick the characters that they wanted to play. As soon as I went to lock in the character I wanted to play, I was instantly kicked from the software and received a ban message instead of a warning. The company did not contact me to explain the issue and attempts to speak with the company have failed. I would like to reiterate that I have spent hundreds of dollars into this company's services in which I am no longer receiving. If this company reverses the ban on my account, that would rectify the situation. If the company fails to reverse the ban on my account, then I would like a refund on the money I spent on the account.Initial Complaint

I've had an account with ****************** **** for over 10 years. I've recently received an in game gift from a friend. Last month my account got suspended by Riot Games **** and their team said it was due to gifting abuse. I explained the situation and did not know that my friend gifting my the in game purchase from multiple accounts was gift abuse. I am a recipient and have no control on how the gift is delivered. There is also no mentions on the company's gifting guide or terms about gift abuse. They unrightfully suspended my account which I spend a lot of time and resource in. I asked them to remove that gift from my account if that satisfies them but they refused. I believe the decision is unfair and request that if they do not give me back my account, they need to refund me on all the purchases I've made on my account throughout the years.Initial Complaint

I have reported to you this company before but I'm still really concerned about it's practices in addressing concerning issues with it's users regarding harassment, bullying and threats. Over the past couple of weeks I have made multiple reports to this company about some of it's users in the game Valorant. Users that have made death threats, sexually disturbing comments and racist remarks. When I report these players or users through Riots report system at ************************************************************************* my tickets are often answered with a copy and paste script and the ticket is closed without discussing any sort of action taken against players that engage in such a hateful manner towards others, often times I find myself in another game or match in ******** with that same player doing the exact hateful behavior, which leads to believe that Riot doesn't take action against these harassers. One of my main concerns with this is that there is underage users in this game and there is very little effort in addressing the problem in ways that solve it permanently. ************************ Ignores my requests to remove these players permanently and again I know this because I'm matched with some of these players in future games but also even if Riot Games took permanent actions such as suspensions and permanent bans, users are able to create another free account and play again, which is a never ending cycle of bullies in the game, they're beyond bullies at times and I can't find words to describe some of the people on this platform. I myself encounter many of them and although I'm "hard headed" towards such negative comments I think it's important to remind ourselves that when underage users are involved we ought to rely on the company's ability to address the ********** hopes is that someone in congress can press these issues and get them under control, because I've tried many times dealing with Riot Games, ****Initial Complaint

My account was stolen by someone else who used my account and caused my account to be permanently banned. I tried to file a lawsuit with Fighter, but their responses were all bots and didn't resolve anything. My Riot account has been permanently banned without any warning or notification. I talked with the "human" *** and their answer is that my account was linked with account compromise.I did purchase some skins from ***, which turned out one of the sellers was a fraud and then my account was marked as "fraud" in Riot systems.I've spent hundreds of dollars from their official store and have been played on the ** server since 2016. I have so many feeling with this account, so I wrote Riot a very long letter and hope to talk with them. But none of the ***s seem to care about our long-term supporter and just talk with me like an answering machine. They also provided a link to their terms of use and have to check what I violated against. However the link was broken and I asked them for a valid link (they provided a broken link again). After seeing my long story letter, they just decided to say sorry and don't want to talk to me like a real person. This makes me really really ******** I said in my letter, yes you can ban me as a penalty but not permanently since I really don't know that was a fraud. If I know, I would never risk my account for that. On September 18th, 2024, my Valorant account, "southpaw#gloop" was falsely banned due to "third party software". I am unable to file a ticket on that account. I recently purchased my PC about a month ago, and have not installed any sort of third party software that warrants a ban. The only software I have running at the same time is Valorant Tracker (an app that allows you to view in-game stats), Outplayed (a recording software), and Discord. I never cheated in ********, and my stats reflect this. I attempted to make a new account to circumvent my inability to access the account, assuming it was just hacked (which it was not). However, after making a new account, it was instantly suspended for the same thing: "third party software". I was able to file a ticket on this account, and got a response back, admitting that there was no third party software on my computer but that my account would remain banned "as a reminder" to not attempt using third party software on Riot games. I was utterly aghast after reading this message. If there is no third party software on my device, there should be no ban.What I am requesting from Riot Games is simply the following: An unban on my "southpaw#gloop" Valorant account.Initial Complaint

Since August 2024, I have been trying to update my email to my riot account. I keep getting the multi-factor authorization (MFA) prompt to an old email ************************* *** interchangeable). Despite having access to the email, I do not receive the codes to be able to sign in, even in spam folder. This means I cant do anything that the ********************** page mentions, because everything requires an MFA. I dont recall ever signing up for ***, PRECISELY for the reason I'm trying to update it. Its a spam/old email that I used in high school/college. I've already submitted tickets for this issue and the insult and disrespect does not end. No matter what I provide, I am told that **** does not have enough info. #********* is the original ticket and was closed falsely by employee Sana, who never responded to my emails providing the requested info.#********* is the most recent ticket of which I requested a manager to contact me. It is also not possible to click on this ticket to follow updates or comment. Is this ticket still open or did the employee mark it solved again without actual resolution?I only play league of legends with Riot. I don't understand why this is so difficult. On some level its nice that the security is tight and gives me some peace of mind; but why is it that you'll still accept my money when I buy RP, but yet I cant even update my email?
