VOIPo has charged me 3 times for extending my service which I did not order. This happened March 5, 2025. I have tried to call, started chat sessions, and left emails to no avail. The product is great; the service is awful bordering or maybe is fraudulent. Company may be going under as they will not interact with customers. We started a new account on *** 19, 2024 & paid $185 for 2 years of service. On March 4, 2024 we were billed AGAIN $185 for the years 2027 thru 2028. This was NOT authorized by ******* were told that it was a "billing error". We have contacted the ******************* to have this charge reversed. We are not happy as we are new customers to ******************** & believe that this is an unethical practice.Review fromVictor M

This is totally an illegitimate company. Their billing practice CANNOT be a mistake. They are ripping people off. It is a SCAM. They are depending on people to not pay attention to their monthly statements. We are guilty. We were not paying attention until my wife spotted three charges of $185 for this month (March 2025). We cancelled our service with them last year in June of 2024 because I noticed that they had charged my twice in June of 2024. I purchased a two year contract with them in April 2024. Why are they billing me for two new two year contracts in June without my approval. So, I cancelled the contract last year. When my wife noticed the charges this month, I called **** and had them review my statement. Voipo had charged me 10x since I cancelled my contract with them. I am FURIOUS!!! That has to be illegal. I told **** that I wanted them reported as FRAUD. **** said that they would cancel my card immediately and remove the charges. I have a new credit card coming. DO NOT USE VOIPO!! THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF. AND THE SERVICE WAS NOT THAT GOOD ANYWAY.Review fromLee G

This is the second time this has happened. I've been over charged 4x@$185.00. I've call numerous times. Sent numerous emails to support. I was able to speak with someone through live chat last time this happened. Now it's saying offline. Can't even login to delete my card information. Saying user not found. They billed my credit card 6 times in 7 months for $185.00 each time We sorta of got that straightened out , then this month they billed my credit card 4 times in 2 days for. $185.00 each time. They will not answer there phone. I sent complaints in to the *** and the ***. I sent several complaints to VOIPo. Still have problems. STAY AWAY, NO RUN AS FAST AS YOU CANReview fromGeorge S

Another unhappy customer who was mis-charged multiple times. The service itself has been stellar for me for over a decade. However, last fall they started having "billing issues" where they were billing people for renewals they never asked for. Take a look at all the reviews from September 2024 to today. I received a refund last time, but get no response this time. Their X account hasn't put out a tweet since Thanksgiving ********************************************************** January. That's over two months and 1) it's not at all fixed and keeps happening; 2) they company does not respond to those of us who try to get the charges reversed; 3) it's not possible to remove your credit card number from their systems; 4) the owner is completely missing in action. word to the wise, use a temporary credit card to buy into this service. I did that by habit with them and it saved my a** They illegally charged my temp card which was turned off (thank goodness) without any notification. It was 3 months before the end of my 2 year plan. Anyway, we got past that debacle and ive been with them for least 4 years and every 45 days they send an email that they are going to add new features and that I should buy another 2 year plan to avoid rate increase.....well to my absolute surprise, I discovered on Feb 5th 2025 that their developers removed features! Thee feature that convinced me to get into this service has now disappeared. How can the employees of voipo sleep at night? I'm at a loss for words. Robbers?Review fromDaniel S

I have been billed six times over the last six months for a three-year extension of my service on 2 lines since August 12, 2024. That's a three year extension each month and I'm now paid up through year 2037. That $2200, six times $370. And the math doesn't even add up. I should be paid up through year 2042, so the fraudulent billing was itself fraudulent.I want to say that his is an innocent mistake, but BBB has reports right here of this happening to other people over the past 6 months. Would it not be logical for Voipo to take a look to see if this happened to more accounts than just the ones with complaints? Well, not so if I'm an example. I strongly suspect they wait for complaints before acting on them. They either knew about this, or they are real stupid or lazy in not auditing this situation after it happened to others in the same time period.The owner of the company has apologized to at least one person here, implying he works hard as a single owner turning down offers from other companies, ya-da, ya-da, but where is the action in this billing malfunction that has happened to other accounts. I should have been automatically flagged and given a refund with apology many months ago. Had I not caught it now, this would continue I'm sure. I'm now cursed with having to audit my account for the decade or more I've been with Voipo.I have emailed them and they say that their billing department is swamped and it may take awhile, so I'm not taking action just yet. But in two weeks my six month dispute window expires with my credit card company, so soon I'll file a dispute with them if this is not resolved.This is being written as a warning to others. Watch those recurring bills! There are folks out there ready to take advantage of lax bookkeeping. ("Oh, we're so sorry...", they say when caught.)Excellent service, by the way. I have been a VOIPO customer for years. I have been fraudulently charged for early renewal ($185.00) 8 times to my credit card. I submitted an on line trouble ticket with several months ago with no solution or update. The toll free number for support hangs up on you. Then they send a message indicating if you contact them you will be put at the end of the line for service. This company should be investigated and criminally charged. It is happening to a lot of customers with out any resolve.
