I have used ************************** for several years, and the service has been fine. However, they have a history of billing issues, but previously they have been responsive and Ive been able to resolve them quickly.Prior to the recent incidents, I was pre-paid through April 6, 2026 after purchasing a 2-year extension on Jan 3, 2024. So, I was not due for renewal.On 3/4/25, Voipo charged my card 3 (THREE) times (each at $185). The second two were declined as suspected fraud. On 3/17/25, they charged my card again for $185.I tried contacting them, but Voipo no longer answers their phone number. I tried using their support form, and only got back form letters. After sending another email, they admitted they have overbilled, but they have still not refunded or responded after several days.This is apparently a pattern for them given the other complaints I see on the BBB site.Business Response

I ordered the VOIPO device in late December of 2024. I signed up for a 2 year contract for $185.00 It was received in a timely manner and works fairly well. Upon receiving my credit card bill, I discovered that I was billed 3 times, on 12/28/2024, and again on 1/02/2025 and 1/24/2025, each time for $185.00. On 2/4/2025 I called VOIPO and was told Id be refunded. When i didnt receive a refund by 2/14 I called again and was told Id have a refund in 3-5 days. I also followed up these phone calls with emails , the response was that my refund was being ************ is now April 2. I have called and emailed the company several times and they no longer answer the phone or respond to emails. After doing an internet search, I discovered that this exact same thing has happened to many, many people.Business Response

I just checked my credit card online (evening of 4/15/2025, 10:20 PM) and there are no credits from VOIPO. The statement does not appear to be true. Perhaps VOIPO replied to BBB prior to actually processing the corrections?Business Response

I have used VOIPO as a voice-over IP home phone solution since approx 2008. Starting this year they began to charge me a 2-year renewal charge with my card on file, but when my contract was not up. Several times, I contacted them about this, and they stated they had a billing issue moving to a new system. They offered to give me an additional service for the inconvenience. With the first charge, I agreed, but when it happened again I stated I wanted a credit back on my credit card. On 01/07/25 I confirmed they had received the equipment. I was told I would get a refund in 7 days but could take as long as 30 days. On 01/22/25 I was told they were still processing my return. On 2/28/25, I was told they were still processing my return. They no longer answer their phone, and when I send emails for status they do not reply.Business Response

I canceled Voipo phone service on 09/30/2024 and my account was closed. On 03/05/2025 I was charged $185 and on 03/06/2025 I was charged another $185 that I did not initiate. I have tried to contact Voipo billing with no reply. I would like to be done with this company!Business Response

I have an account for phone over internet with this company and have for several years. Last year they overcharged me 8 times at their two year contract of $185 for a total of 1480. After many support ticket followups and well over a month waiting (they have an unreasonable policy that all these matters take 30 days to resolve) they did finally refund 6 of the 8 overcharges and claimed they could do another over venmo, but they never did that and I considered myself lucky to get back what I did. I should have ensured I pulled my CC info from their site but didn't see a way to do it, but gave them the benefit of the doubt that they had made a mistake. Well now I just received another 5 charges on 3/5/25 for $185.00 each ($925). I just sent them another support ticket (their phone support puts me on hold endlessly), but I thought I'd reach out to the BBB as well. Please let me know if you can help. I see other complaints online about this company.I will claim I would like a refund of $925 (that I what I'm trying to get from them) but an additional $370 would go back to the original overcharge so I will put that out there as well. I purchased VOIP phone service in January. They charged my credit card $185.00 twice, once on January 6, 2025, the other on January 23, 2025. I ordered one subscription. Residential phone service with this company was cancelled on June 27, 2023. The phone adapter was received and cancellation was finalized on that date, per Ticket ID: ************* (attached letter). On 03/13/2025, this company made an unauthorized charge of $185.00 to my **************** credit card. This charge was completely unfounded, as services were cancelled back in June of 2023 and I have not had any further contact with this company since that date nor have I re-subscribed to any of their services. I have made 3 attempts to reach this company and have not received any response. All 3 e-mails to attempt to communicate with them are attached to this case. It should also be noted that it has been impossible to reach them via telephone, as there is a recording stating that no agents are available to take calls at this time. I am requesting that this charge of $185.00 be immediately credited and I am also requesting that all of my financial information be deleted, so this does not happen again. Based on this experience, I do not plan on ever doing business with this company again.
