I bought a 3 pack of $20 gift cards from Target, in *****************, **********. The cost was $68.50. I purchased the gift cards on 12/23/2023 to give as gifts. I gave 2 cards away, and tried using the third card. The card is declined everywhere Ive tried to use it. I called the customer service number on the back of the card and was given various nonsensical reasons for the cards decline. I asked for a replacement card and was told NO! I am sure the cards that I gifted to friends are also declining.Initial Complaint

I purchased a ************ GC on 4/8/2023. I have also filed a complaint against **************** the issuing bank. The card was drained less than 8 hours after I purchased it. I have spent hours on the phone, sending emails, scanning documents and just being given the runaround. Finally in August I received an email that stated they denied my dispute. I was in possession of the physical card and the purchase receipt yet I am expected to take this loss? There is a serious problem with the issuing Financial institution **************** and the perception is that this is internal fraud. They are failing to do their due diligence when investigating the gift cards that are hacked or tampered with and their customer service is incompetent. The hold times are well over an hour each time you call in, the representatives are arrogant and be assured you will get disconnected at least twice. My GC was used less then 8 hours after I purchased it at a gambling website. How hard is it to verify who owns the account on that site that used my gift card. **************** has **** complaints and growing on the BBB. At this point the *************************** is nowhere near what I should be compensated for. My time is as valuable as anyone's and I should not of had to put the hours in only to be told too bad. I will never EVER purchase another **** GC. **** should be ashamed at letting these complaints escalate and continue. A class action lawsuit needs to be filed against **** and ****************!Initial Complaint

The transaction was back in September in the amount of $106.95. I had purchased a **** vanilla gift card for someone and the balance of $100 was already spent before the card was even activated. The person who I gave the card to as a gift checked the balance and saw there was a prior transaction. I would like a replacement, but **** has yet to get back to meInitial Complaint

I purchased a defected **** gift card in the amount of ****** and was told there needs to be an investigation. Meanwhile they notified me that they are in possession of the full amount of my money. They said this will take up to a month and maybe longer to possibly reimburse my money. I purchased that card to pay bills for me and my kids! I received a **** gift card in the amount of $100. The card has never worked. Ive called ***** Provided them with photos of front, back of card. The original packaging and package insert info. Also had the person that gifted me the card go back through her **************** receipt with Target (where it was purchased) to provide receipt. Ive emailed them 3 times. The buyer of the card also emailed. *** opened a case have a case number and cant get a response on what is going on. I have been given no time frame, and have never received a response to any emails I have sent. I call and sit on hold sometimes as long as **************************************** not one person I have talked to speaks good English. I dont even know if they can understand me. They say there is no manager and anyone else I can speak to. Just that the case is open. The first time I called was June 8, 2023. I called today October 24 and spoke with *****. Purchased a vanilla giftcard an e( electronic giftcard) last night 10/23/2023. I read a lot about scams so i got the smallest amount a $10 with a $2.95 fee just to make sure it would work before i purchased bigger. It did not work anywhere. Couldnt add it to Paupal, Venmo, and the orders i placed with it online rejected it. I called ******* twice and the first hung up when i asked if it was a scam. The second argued with me and told me i was using it at the wrong websites. It may only be $12.95 but i want my money back period. This company should be shamed !! as its almost holiday time and so many people are going to get scammed out of large sums of money. It's concerning **** gift cards. I have NEVER been able to use them. There is an issue or problem every single time when it slide it through the card reader. I have not used them at a gas pump. The amount I am trying to pay is does not exceed what is on the card. My card is activated. Those, I understand, are a stipulation in using **** gift cards. It is unacceptable to have such an issue with every use. We are not out any money but those who have purchased them for us, are our $100 and $75.Initial Complaint

I purchased a vanilla **** gift card August 2, 2023 for $250 so my daughter can buy a crib for my newborn granddaughter and when we went online we couldn't activate it because there were only 15 numbers and no CVV. I called ******* but was told they do not handle gift cards to contact the merchant well needless to say I couldn't reach anyone I was in a never ending cicle of a ringing phone.Initial Complaint

I purchased 4 US ********* Gift Cards from Kroger's in ***************, with the amounts on each card of $100, totaling $400, on 09/02/2023. When I attempted to use them to purchase groceries, only one of the gift cards worked. The other 3 cards were later identified as being flagged for fraud when I called the number on the back of the gift cards, I did not get a resolution. Please see detailed complaint attached.
