Thank you for the opportunity to address our customer's concerns.

Upon conducting business with GoDaddy, our customer acknowledged and accepted our agreements, found at https://www.godaddy.com/legal/agreements.

On September 27, 2021, our customer registered a domain name for a one-year term via an online transaction.

On October 2, 2022, per our customers account preferences, GoDaddy automatically renewed the domain name in question using the associated payment method on file in good faith to honor agreements with our customer. ********************** sent notifications to our customer on August 28, 2022, and again on September 22,2022 informing them the expiring item would renew in accordance with account settings unless additional action was taken.

GoDaddy provides its customers with full control over renewal preferences.  Customers may, at any time, log into their account and modify those preferences. Account management is a customer responsibility.

On October 13, 2022, our customer contacted our Care support team regarding the domain name renewal.  At that time, our Care support team was able to assist with cancelling the domain name and processing a full refund.

      RESOLUTION:

GoDaddy upheld its agreements with our customer in good faith and honored its terms of service.

At this time our customer has successfully cancelled the domain name in question, and a full refund has been processed back to the original payment method.

Thank you again for the opportunity to address the concerns presented by our customer.

      Kindest regards,

I had a domain purchased with auto renew set up. They sent an email saying payment is outdated so I clicked on the email to update and call them, was assured domain is good and up to date. They now put my domain up for auction and is asking me not only to bid on a domain that was mine originally but also want me to pay to be able to be a part of their auctions as well.

Thank you for the opportunity to address our customer's concerns.

Upon conducting business with GoDaddy, our customer acknowledged and accepted our agreements, found at https://www.godaddy.com/legal/agreements.

On September 11, 2020, our customer registered a new domain name via an online transaction for a two-year term.  When the domain was due for renewal on September 11, 2022, GoDaddy attempted to automatically renew it per our customers account preferences, however, the payment was unable to be authorized by their financial institution.  GoDaddy sent numerous email reminders regarding the failed billing, and the domain was removed from the GoDaddy account on for non-payment on October 11, 2022.

Our customer contacted our ******************** on October 13, 2022, and was properly advised that the domain was listed via Expired Domain Auction, and the domain was unable to be returned to their account.

      RESOLUTION:

GoDaddy upheld its agreements with our customer in good faith and honored its terms of service.

Should our customer wish to pursue the domain further, they can place a bid while the domain is still listed for auction or they can consider options such as our ********************* or Backorder Service.

Thank you again for the opportunity to address the concerns presented by our customer.

On September 23, 2022, our customer connected with our ************* Team for assistance purchasing domain names. Our Team assisted in creating a new account and purchasing the domain names in question. Unfortunately, during this interaction, our customer's email address was misspelled.

On September 24, 2022, our Team correctly informed them of the process to update the email on file, which can be found here: https://www.godaddy.com/help/regain-access-to-my-domain-or-my-godaddy-account-4043. Our customer submitted the form during this interaction.

On September 26, 2022, our Account Recovery (AR) Team requested additional documentation.

I am not able to login into my Godaddy account because it has 2SV enabled and I no longer have access to that phone number. i thought I had updated the phone number on my account to another phone number prior to getting rid of my old number and yet it seems the 2SV is still connected to the old number. I filled out a form and submitted my drivers license but I did not get an email confirmation that the form was submitted. I am very concerned and this is not what I would expect from a company that says they have great customer service. Can someone please help. I have been a customer for many years and I am really disappointed that I still don't have access to my account. I have uploaded a screenshot of the notification I received when I filled out the form but I did not get an email notification. An email should have been sent to me confirming that I submitted the form with the required information.

Thank you for the opportunity to address our customer's concerns.

Upon conducting business with GoDaddy, our customer acknowledged and accepted our agreements, found at https://www.godaddy.com/legal/agreements.

GoDaddy takes account security seriously and has a well-established procedure for our customer to update account information they no longer have access to.

On January 10, 2021, our customer enabled Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on their GoDaddy account which provides an additional layer of security. 2FA requires an account holder to provide a numeric code received via text message along with their normal verification information to access the account.

On October 12, 2022, our customer submitted a request to update their 2FA phone number.

On October 14, 2022, our Account Recovery Team requested additional information from our customer to verify account ownership.

      RESOLUTION:

GoDaddy upheld its agreements with our customer in good faith and honored its terms of service.

Our office empathizes with our customer and encourage them to provide the information that our Account Recovery Team has requested. Once the information has been provided, our customer can email our office at **********************@********************** to expedite their request.

I recently filed a complaint through the BBB against GoDaddy, and the resolution to the complaint stated that I could get a refund for a product that I pay for, the Search Engine Visibility Tool, that has repeatedly has issues working. I have called GoDaddy twice this morning, and neither representative that I spoke to saw any notes on my account that reflected that I should receive a refund for the product that isn't working, and when I called the other day for the same issue, the rep told me that it was too far into my subscription to get a refund.I would like to get the refund that the rep that answered my previous complaint through the BBB against GoDaddy, told GoDaddy that they would provide me if I cancelled my subscription for the Search Engine Visibility Tool.,

Thank you for the opportunity to address our customer's concerns.

Upon conducting business with GoDaddy, our customer acknowledged and accepted our agreements, found at https://www.godaddy.com/legal/agreements.

The recent concerns of our customer associate to matters addressed in their previous filing with the BBB, referenced within complaint numbers ********, ********, ******** and ********.

On January 24, 2015, our customer purchased *********************** Search Engine Visibility (SEV) for a two-year term with the help of our support.  SEV is an Internet-based search engine optimization and submission tool that assists users with optimizing their website.  Between January 23, 2017, and January 23, 2022, our customers SEV auto-renewed for two-year terms per their account preferences.

On August 27, 2022, our office responded to BBB complaint ******** confirming that as a goodwill gesture, if our customer chose to cancel their SEV we would be happy to provide a full refund of its most recent renewal.  We requested that our customer contact our office at ********************@********************** to confirm the cancelation of their SEV had been completed, and that we would process the full refund of its most recent renewal at that time.  To date we have not received a response from our customer confirming the cancellation of their SEV.

      RESOLUTION:

GoDaddy upheld its agreements with our customer in good faith and honored its terms of service.

We still stand by our previous responses on this matter.

If our customer chooses to cancel their SEV in a timely manner we will be happy to provide a full refund of its most recent renewal.  Our customer can contact our office at ********************@********************** to confirm this action has been completed.  We will process the full refund at that time.

Thank you for the opportunity to address our customer's concerns.

Upon conducting business with GoDaddy, our customer acknowledged and accepted our agreements, found at https://www.godaddy.com/legal/agreements.

Our customer had previously enabled Two-Step Verification (2SV) on their GoDaddy account to provide an additional layer of security. 2SV requires an account holder to provide a numeric code received via text message or through ****** Authenticator as part of the verification to access the account.

2SV is a security feature GoDaddy offers our customers to prevent account and domain hijacking. GoDaddy does not arbitrarily add this service to customer accounts; customers must opt-in via their account to utilize it.

GoDaddy has a vetted and established process that allows customers to remove the 2SV from their account.  More information can be found here: https://www.godaddy.com/help/cancel-2-step-verification-7628.

      RESOLUTION:

GoDaddy upheld its agreements with our customer in good faith and honored its terms of service.

Our customer has submitted information to *********************** Account Recovery Team in attempt to remove the 2SV from the account in question. Unfortunately, the information provided by them does not match the account details.

We encourage them to continue to work with our Account Recovery Team and provide the requested documents to disable 2SV from their account.

Last date that I tried to get appropriate customer service was 10.11.2022. I waited many hours and could not get a human on a chat, a text, or a phone call. The "chat bot" was incapable of helping me and kept bumping me. That is really not fair to a customer.I have spent over $1000 over the years for a website, email system, site security, and SSL. ************ has become increasingly dysfunctional to the point where I could not get a human to help resolve tech and security issues on the phone or on their chat after almost four hours of waiting and being repeatedly disconnected. This has happened numerous times, but this evening was the worst.I am paying for my site, hosting and for basic security, yet it is now coming up on ****** as a security risk. I am not a website programmer, yet they have sold me products which are insufficient for keeping my website and email system in working order, adding an unreasonable fee for SSL. If ever I do get a human on the phone, they try to upsell me products and it is obvious that there is no quality in service, just someone trying to sell me something. Nothing was fixed after many hours of waiting on 10.11.2022, and I cannot use the service they sold me for a security check. I am currently trying to transfer my domain to WIx.com but am not sure if the previous flagging of the site for security issues will be a problem. Finally I am filing this complaint, because the customer service is so bad I just feel I have waisted my money and lost safe access to the site I registered in my school and program's name.I would like a refund of ****** USD for the purchase of a website and hosting on 7/1/2020 that I have not used and for which appropriate customer service was not provided. Also $20 USD for the www.pranamandir.com domain name which was not protected on GoDaddy. Thank you very much.

Thank you for the opportunity to address our customer's concerns.

Upon conducting business with GoDaddy, our customer acknowledged and accepted our agreements, found at https://www.godaddy.com/legal/agreements.

On July 1, 2020, our customer purchased a Managed *** for a one-year term via a phone interaction. Per their account preferences, we did not renew the *** before expiration and sent notifications on May 2 and July 1, 2021. GoDaddy also sent notices after expiration on July 31, 2021, advising that the expired *** would be canceled unless action was taken. Account management is a customer responsibility.

On October 12 and 13, 2022, our customer contacted our ******************** via online chat regarding an *** warning on their website. Our Team correctly informed them that they did not have an *** active within their account, and the hosting was redirecting to ***** instead of HTTP. Our Team offered to remove the redirect; however, our customer idled out of chat.

During our customer's chat interaction, they stated they were transferring their domain and hosting to another provider.

      RESOLUTION:

GoDaddy upheld its agreements with our customer in good faith and honored its terms of service.

Our office has removed the ***** redirect, and their website is active. However, the site will continue stating it's not secure.

If they wish to complete the domain and hosting transfer to another provider, they can contact them regarding their concerns.

Thank you for the opportunity to address our customer's concerns.

Upon conducting business with GoDaddy, our customer acknowledged and accepted our agreements, found at https://www.godaddy.com/legal-agreements.aspx.

On February 13, 2009, our customer purchased a Deluxe Online File Folder plan, now known as Online Storage, for a one-year term via an online transaction. Online Storage allows our customers to back up, store, retrieve and share their data from any online computer. Our customer has renewed this plan annually, most recently on April 8, 2022.

On October 5 and 6, 2022, our customer contacted *********************** ************* team multiple times regarding the files in their active Online Storage plan being unreachable or downloading with 0 file size. During these interactions, our agents attempted to resolve our customers concerns to the best of their ability.

On October 6, 2022, our customer was advised the files in question were corrupted and unrecoverable.

      RESOLUTION:

GoDaddy upheld its agreements with our customer in good faith and honored its terms of service.

After looking into this issue, unfortunately, the files in question are in fact corrupted and we are unable to recover them. This means that our team will not be able to restore these files. We understand this is disappointing and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Thank you again for the opportunity to address the concerns presented by our customer.

This issue has not been resolved, my SSL is working because I installed a 90 day temporary SSL from a third party outside Godaddy in order to get my site back online. Godaddy needs to resolve this problem, I pay for SSL cert from them and I should not be using a third party SSL. Fix this problem Godaddy!

Thank you for the opportunity to address our customer's concerns.

Upon conducting business with GoDaddy, our customer acknowledged and accepted our agreements, found at https://www.godaddy.com/legal/agreements.

On October 10, 2022, our customer contacted our Care Team via telephone to report that his Secure Socket Layer Certificate (***) was not working as intended, and his site appeared unsecured.  Our Care Team informed our customer that the *** seemed to be pending issuance and asked them to wait twenty-four hours for installation.

On October 11, 2022, our customer contacted our Care Team a second time after he noticed his site was not resolving correctly after the twenty-four hour mark.  Our customer was asked to wait an additional twenty-four hours as the *** still appeared to be pending issuance.

      RESOLUTION:

GoDaddy upheld its agreements with our customer in good faith and honored its terms of service.

We empathize with our customer and regret any frustration this may have caused.  Our office has since escalated their concern, and the *** is now working as intended, and the site is resolving correctly.  We attempted to reach our customer but unfortunately could not connect with them.  Should they wish to contact us, we can be reached at [email protected]
