      Vivint is a scam. They pressure you and make all these promises, then never forfill their promises. I got the system in June 6, I never got a chance to think about it I wanted the system, because they hard someone at my house the next day to install the system. They never told me, I only had 3 days to cancel. They did not pay off my old alarm system contract. All the salesman told me they would take care of everything. They never did. When you call for help, you get bounced around, and no one helps.

      The sales lady came to my home with a clearly displayed sign stating “No Solicitation”. The lady opened my screen door and proceeded to bang on my front steel inner door like my home was on fire. I am a caregiver, My father had Alzheimer’s, My fience has dimentia, and a friend staying with me is not doing well. There is a reason that I do not want to be disturbed. I am healing, grieving and I need my rest. The sales lady asked for my fience who is now in a facility actively dying. I am the homeowner, I do not know where they get their lists from. I told her he was not here and and said are we done? She said are you the homeowner? Get your stuff straight, people… you are looking desperate. The sales lady proceeded to use scare tactics to try and sell the system. She showed a picture and explained a burglar can cut my WiFi line. I told her I do not care… I have Smith & Wesson and 2 dogs. She proceeded to try again. I told her I am done. I have Smith & Wesson and if someone wants to try me… come on in? Are they canvassing for single women homeowners to try and scare? I wrote to the company. This is more than the second time they have done this to me…. I want to know what will stop their sales people. A court order, an attorney…. What? I don’t need to be treated like I am stupid and cannot take care of myself. That is how they train employees to treat customers. First bang on the door like your house is on fire, then treat you like Rose on 2 and 1/2 men. We are all not helpless, scared, and stupid. They do not have a no contact list… they say they do, but this is at least the 3rd year they have come by just to treat me the same way.

      I had one of their sales people come to my door. He wouldnt take no for an answer that I didnt need his security system. I finally told him he needed to leave. He then proceeded to make fun of me for having a Ring doorbell camera. This was in the *******, ** area. If you they come to your house beware or better yet dont answer the door.

      A nice smooth faced clean cut young ********* man approached me when I was walking to my town house door. He spoke well, fast forward I signed up for the service. I only have a front and back to my townhouse because Im stuck to another on both sides. The package comes with a door bell camera and another camera which me and clean cut agreed would go on my porch. I was told by him that for any reason whatsoever I could cancel the service within ****************************************************************************************** five minutes before and for five minutes at the end. So when the technician arrived I was already in bed. I told him that he was ok because the dog was upstairs with me and to just ****** at me when he was finished. The clean cut had told him what to do. He whistled to call me downstairs to show me how the system works this is that and you push this to do this, blah blah. But when I woke back up and went to work later that night I wanted to check my system out, so I got on my Vivant app, but only saw the front of my house on two cameras and couldnt find the back. So when I got home I went out of my patio door and there was no voice lights or camera.he placed both cameras in the front. And the doorbell cam is not aimed to my parking space but towards my neighbors door, because I told him that I didnt need the second automatic deadbolt for the back door because its a sliding glass door and somehow he figured that I wanted both cameras pointing in **** near the exact same direction and nothing in the back. I called Vivint to cancel because If there is trouble now there will be some in the future. I was on the phone for over an hour kicked supposedly up the ladder and at each level they offer another free ?? month. After refusing all the way to the top around 10pm I was given till midnight to sign and return a document that they sent to my email. Which never arrived. So Im still stuck with some dumb a** cameras and a $4000 bill

      I have been a customer for seven years, but due to financial struggles I've decided to cancel. After speaking with the representatives and doing all the steps to cancel like sending an email with account info, name, address, signature and everything they asked for. Then getting confirmation email back along with texts messages sorry to see you go. I was sure it was canceled. Nope I was charged another month. Their story was that it was the last payment. I thought okay. No, the next month they charged another one. I called back and now they have no record I canceled. I asked to get an email address to send the proof and got hung up on. I canceled my debit card and now I have a bill. I send the closed information again and still no luck. This is July 3, 2024 and I canceled in March 2024. I will never go back.

      Vivint will not allow you to cancel service over the phone. I have a disabled, elderly family member that wants to cancel their service. He does not have email or the internet, and is not physically able to write a letter because of his vision. Vivint should allow disabled people to cancel service over the phone!

      I am really tired of companies like this taking advantage of seniors, my mom was told she need to upgrade her system because it was old and one of the first systems they had installed over 10 years or so, my mom agreed when tech got there he convinced her to install a camera and some sensors and a something around her neck, for over ***** my mom never agreed to that because shes on a fixed income and knows she cant afford it. I called the company and was told she verbally agreed to this contract they have nothing with her signature agreeing to this. I asked for a copy and was told I need to supena..SMH never will I recommend this company.

      If I could give ZERO stars, I would! I never liked their sales pressure techniques, but I never had a problem with the services..UNTIL I went to cancel my services (Long story short I was able to receive the same services from ADT saving over 50% on my bill. As a teacher who hasnt received a raise in five years, I jumped on that deal, out of pure necessity!) When I called Vivint to cancel, I was told that because back in 2021 we took out a line of credit to purchase a doorbell camera and an additional camera to be mounted above our garage that opening the line of credit locked me into a FIVE YEAR CONTRACT! Now if I want to break that contract, it will cost me over $1,000. DO NOT GO WITH VIVINT..you WILL regret it!!

      Spare yourself from the **************** that these sales reps have to off which is honored by their company. A week of lies after lies after lies only to be told that we cannot honor the 30 cancelation fee free that your rep promised you because they didn't put it on *********** trail period is only 3 days. The sales rep placed the blame on his supervisor & refuses to answer any calls or text. One of the biggest corporate scammers.
