      DO NOT DO BUSINES WITH VIVINT! I had Vivint in my home for almost four years. Their customer support is 3 stars at best, their equipment hub is problematic, it is very difficult to customize notifications for both home security as well as their vehicle security and the installation looks amateur. However, all of that doesn't come close to how horrible they are when you try to cancel your sevice. I recently sold my house and moved into an apartment. All of the equipment at the house was fully paid for and left in place for the new owners. So far, I have requested to have my account closed 3 times, each time being assured that everything was taken care of. ****. I was told today that my requests were declined by whoever reviews these things because they couldn't verify that the equipment was paid off. On each previous call the *** confirmed that there WAS a zero balance (which was noted on my account but today I had to do a conference call with the bank anyway). After all of that my account is still not closed. I was told today by a "supervisor" I need to wait 10 business days for my request (the 3rd one) to be reviewed and hopefully approved. These folks are crooks! They train their employees to try every tactic possible to retain your business and they DO NOT back down. It's the worst customer service I've had in over a decade. I've spent close to 3 hours on the phone and still don't trust that I'm not going to have to call a 4th time. Do not make the same mistake I did, look elsewhere for home security.

      They have been scamming us out of money since we stopped our service. In May I paid all the fees they said, we owed to turn our service off. In June they took money out of my account , each month this continued. Each month I called, they told me, yes they saw where I had cancelled, and they would return the money to my account. It never happened. Finally I stopped Vivint on my checking account two months ago. Now I am getting collection notices. Called again they repeated the same thing. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!!!

      Everything about vivint is horrible. I had a vivint tech do all my hardwiring on 2 outdoor cameras and 2 door bells, 2 smoke/CO2 detectors, which the batteries die every couple months and is very inconvenient for me to find and climb a ladder in the middle of the night to stop the alarms, and the indoor motion detector.The cameras are horrible quality, they lag so bad that Im unable to see the event until much later, if I zoom in it freezes or glitches. Poor poor video quality. Im stuck in a very expensive contract with a service that does me NO good! I am going to purchase something else for security purposes.

      Do not do business with them!!! After years of service, we had an alarm that they did not follow up on. When we called to ask about it, they stated that our main panel was obsolete, and we would have to pay for an upgrade in order for their system to work correctly. I continued to press them for information and was told that the system had been obsolete for months and an "investigation" would be started to find out why we were never told. They never were able to tell me why and now, I am not able to cancel the service. I have been assured twice that it has been cancelled after repeatedly telling them that I have no interest in staying with them. In the process of trying for the 3rd time.

      I love my Vivint system. It has saved my family. The monitoring department is such a saving ****** I only wish they didnt use a third party for technical support department. I usually have to call during the day because at night I get people who dont know English well at all or what they are doing.

      I have been a loyal customer for over six years. I am in the military and they told me they would transfer my service for free. They still billed me $149 for the move. When I contacted them, they said it was in error and they refunded me the money. A day later, I received another bill for $149 for the transfer of service. I have had to call them more than ten times to try to get this resolved. Every time they say it is fixed, then a day later they start with the phone calls, emails, and in-app messages saying I am delinquent in payment for $149 and I can expect service interruptions if I do not pay. I have spent hours on the phone with Vivint, every time having to re-explain the situation and still no progress. The constant harassment and threats of turning off my service has left me with no choice but to cancel service. Also, they refused to compensate me for all of the issues that they have caused.

      First I was told I wasnt gonna pay for the installation second when I ask the technician about it he said there was no charge on hes end and I ask once more and he reply the same nothing on my end cause I mention to him that when I called to get information about the system the girl that help me told me no charge for the installation cause I was expending about 4k . Second I called back cause they did charge me for it after all and it was return . A week later I get an email saying I owe ****** so I called and the operator said it was for equipment so I explain to her what happen and she didnt know what to do so I got transferred to a manager and he couldnt do anything for me but give me 28 dollars in return . And I did explain my self to him but there aint much I can do to my trial was over I got stuck with it cause the trial its only 3 days

      They lied to me about their product and also the service. They said everything I wanted to hear so they can sell me the equipment. The sales *** said that we would get 5 sensors, but we only got 3. He said that they will come fix the equipment free of charge for lifetime. When I called the customer care they said thats only for the first 120 days after that we have to pay for the tech visit.

      Their sales people straight up lie to about pricing and the company will not honor said prices even though they are in writing. They promote very shady business practices as far as to get a customer under contract then make it extremely hard to cancel. I honestly would never recommend a company that operates the way these guys do and wish I could give less than 1star. Very disappointed.

      We pay extra for Vivint in person customer service. Their customer service is horrible and so time consuming. Our pad by the front door failed and after 60 minutes on the phone it was determined we needed a new pad with tech visit. The appointment was set for 5 days later with an 8 am to 12 pm window. I was told I'd get a call from the tech ahead of time announcing estimated home arrival. No such call was made to me. I called at 8 am and 1030 am to follow on the status. Was told my order was "dispatched". When no one arrived by 1145 am I called back and this time the lady on the line (call centers in ****** and *********** from what I determined at least) said there was no time assigned for today and the situation was active. Each time I call I sense the phone **** struggle with providing answers. Vivint doesn't provide a "reference number" to the customer to make followup easier both ends. I sense some of the **** struggle to provide answers. Meanwhile my appointment was postponed and I have no idea for sure when the Vivint tech will visit. I also get the sense Vivint expects the customers to be "********************** techs" as they seemingly try not to send out techs. The best thing Vivint does is collect the monthly fees. I regret signing up for a Vivint system because of the poor and slow customer service plus their equipment breakdowns. It is a real struggle dealing with Vivint over the phone. Phone staff needs more training and field techs are obviously short staffed.
